It was a miscommunication not whatever u think about him not understanding. The ML thought the guy was trying to use âlets talk about this somewhere elseâ as an excuse (meaning like saying that and never bringing it up again)
Rather than MC freaking out about ML wanting to talk about their problems, it was specifically him freaking out because ML wanted to talk abt their problems IN PUBLIC. Very big distinction.
I would also argue that itâs both miscommunication on both sides and MLâs lack of understanding. In earlier chapters, MC already tried to explain to ML that they should refrain from telling other people abt their relationship without talking about it first. ML was confused on why and when MC explained it was bc Korea was conservative about gay relationships, ML still didnât understand and MC realized ML was the type to not stress about that and didnât understand. That ultimately serves as the main cause for their later miscommunication, which is the recent chapters.
MC is worrying about being exposed in public, but ML, who doesnât understand this concern of his, wants to confront their problems in public. If ML had understood earlier on that MC is really socially anxious about othersâ opinions on him, the whole miscommunication would not have happened. Instead, they wouldâve talked about their problems in private, ML wouldnât think MCâs trying to avoid talking, and MC wouldnât have freaked and talked abt taking a break.

It not about placing blame on any one person, it's about 2 individuals not talking to each other about a big issue that AFFECTS their relationship early on. Should Suo be able to read his partner? yes and he should know that a public place isn't the best place for a serious conversation. I agree that he shouldn't have pushed him when he said "not here", listening is important.
What irritates me is that ALL THIS could have been avoided. This is literally the most avoidable argument ever. There is no ONE wrong person here, there shouldn't be sides. Actually the first time Iâve seen Vietnamese cuisine in a cooking manhwa?? I really was not expecting that. Some of the Viet words/wording is incorrect, but other than that, itâs quite good! This is probably the first cooking manhwa Iâve read that has an MC specialize in international cuisine tbh.
Also, some of yâall need to chill with the elf girl, itâs giving misogyny. I hate romance in shounen/action manhwa too, but you can tell this manhwa doesnât sexualize or objectify girls the way some other shounen manhwas do. I could tell that back when the Kpop girl members were introduced tbh. And letâs be honest, an elf girl is not actually unnecessary. I donât see anyone calling the beastmen unnecessary and obviously itâs gonna include multiple races. Elves are also one of the main races shown in fantasy stories. Elves are predominantly women, hence it is unsurprising and expected for an elf girl to show up eventually? Itâs also highly unlikely that this manhwa will have romance, so chill it on the women-hating. Hating on writing with poorly written female characters and shallow romance/harem plotlines is okay. Hating on female characters for showing up in a story is not.

Aside from the last tidbit, most of the things you were frustrated about will kind of happen so I think you'll have something to look forward to (as long as the manhwa faithfully adapts the novel). The only thing I can say about ML is that he's not perfect and will have character development and so will MC (both in a positive way), as well as that red-haired guy. They're the product of the society and their experiences, and will naturally have preconceived notions of what must be and what shouldn't be.

Eunho has severe self-esteem issues and it might be one of the saddest portrayals Iâve seen in bl. He straightup doesnât value himself as a person when it comes to romance and even for friends, even ppl he knows are just taking advantage of him, heâs still perfectly fine following what they want. Ik a lot of ppl are probably gonna hate on him for crying a lot and his lack of communication, but the author did a nice job of portraying his issues as actual detrimental problems instead of using them to just make his personality quirky or shy like in some other stories. Ofc, I hope he can slowly grow past it and learn to care for himself with the help of MC!

Itâs also great when the plot obstacle is an external force and not bc of the MCâs or MLâs personality theyâre so power couple <3 I rly like how the MC gave the idea of how to deal with MLâs father and how he didnât regret or feel guilty because of it. A lot of other stories have the MC trying to be the âbetter personâ or smt, and it just makes a lot of sense for MC to want to take revenge, especially when heâs been suffering through the consequences everyday in every aspect of his life, whether itâs his career, personal, or family life. In so excited for the side stories! Rly need more fluff and everyday happiness for them
