My take on this Jo vs TJ discourse is that I think Jo is likely be the end game. Aside TJ's toxicity -- As the story revolves around starting a new life and leaving the old one behind, Ian going back to TJ as he is now would contradict pretty much his entire character. Ian's desire for a normal life is one of the defining features of his character. And what's a constant reminder of his old life he so much wishes to leave behind? It's TJ. TJ would need a thorough character reinvention for it to make sense if he was the end game -- for example leave the gang among other things.
Anygays, I just hope Ian can find his happy ending whether it is with Jo, TJ or neither of them! (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

I love that while they were fucking like some rabbits in heat, they also had a realistic and healthy relationship. They sat down to talk about their misunderstandings, insecurities and just things in general. And they actually listened to each other without taking offence or making ridiculous assumptions.
I feel like it's such a common trope that when the couple just gets together after a misunderstanding/fight, they just sweep it all under a rug, have sex and then never talk about it ever again.
love the hardcore freaky stuff where both characters are freaky af lmao
