yayy volume 2 is here!! i know all these new characters are here to cause drama, but the main couple are so obsessed with each other that i’m not even worried lol. (plus i can’t wait to see them fu-)
shocked he was in a relationship before, i thought he’d be too stupid and oblivious for one . but i guess it didn’t last long for a reason.
this would be easier to swallow if the beta was at least a little bit of an awful person, but he’s just a sweetheart with a sad past and loves his boyfriend. the cheating is one thing, but to add to it by constantly saying he’s “not wet enough” (wtf??) and isn’t as good in bed as an omega is just awful.
i know people think he’s also cheating with his sunbae (and if he is, i think it’d be justified LMAO), but my hunch is the sunbae is just being set up as a potential love interest/shoulder to cry on for when the beta does eventually find out. i’ll be back when this series is finished just to see if there’s side stories of the beta getting the happy ending he deserves .

god i love these characters. i love that suryeon sees that farm dream as just that—a dream that’s nice to have but one he’ll never pursue. i love that suu is drawn to suryeon but is put off by suryeon’s stone-cold practicality, because suu wants to be obsessed over, to the point that it’s unhealthy. and i love that because suu wants to be obsessed over, this selfish desire always leads him to saharah, the king of unhealthy obsession.
and i love that even though this situation has happened before, i still don’t know what’ll come next!! will saharah kill another village for suu? or will he have learned from past experience and find other methods to keep him by his side? will suu run back to suryeon? or will he give in and consume saharah? i don’t know! and i love it!!! i love how complex everyone is and even though it’s unpredictable, it’s always believable and lines up with their characters. this writing is just so perfect
The ending for the main couple was rushed and abrupt compared to how well paced the rest of the story was, but I forgave it because I enjoyed the beginning of it all so much. But if it was rushed because the author wanted to focus on this boring side couple with zero chemistry, I’m gonna be mad .
