It’s making me nervous… I don’t think the hair pin itself has any literal meaning but the author uses symbolism a lot! Im seeing it as a double meaning for losing control…

1. It's insane that despite the author/Kim Dan spelling it out, most of the audience continue to read this story with blinders on: JK IS A NET POSITIVE FOR DAN FROM HIS POV! He says this in his letter, when he flashes back(chapter 59) on the horrible stuff he's had to endure so far (the loan sharks, his gma being ill, working multiple jobs back-to-back), he didn't think of JK. Because to him, being with JK was a literal breathe of fresh air.
I think some ppl need to realize that Dan likes JK, make their peace with that statement and decide if they want to drop the story or not.
2. Ppl that are comparing this to Low Tide in Twilight/Taeju and saying "JK could never be Taeju".. well, thank god for that.
Because didn't Taeju literally use Euihyun as a prostitute and keep him depressed/in debt just to keep him by his side?? Did you all collectively erase the beginning part of that story from your minds??
The same ppl that are fans of Caesar, Taeju, Zhenya and Ilay will open their mouths and be hating on JK??? Pls, address your hypocrisy because it's ridiculous!
3. There are ppl that hate, literally hate, the idea of JK and Dan together.
Babes, do you know what genre you're reading? They're literally the ML/MC. They're getting together. That's an inevitable fact. If you hate that so much, STOP READING.
The idea of diligently following a story you hate/commenting on it , just to turn around and complain about its popularity when it's literally YOUR own doing.
4. It's a new year. Let's all learn to ignore the things we dislike. And focus/uplift the things we do.

I don't know y'all thought the depression would magically disappear when he left JK.
He literally said in the letter that being with JK was like fresh air (cause he didn't have to worry about bills/debt/his next meal and he had started developing feelings for the man).
When you all realise that for Kim Dan, Jaekyung isn't even close to the biggest of his problems, dude has obviously been dealing with low self-esteem/abandonment issues/loneliness and alcohol dependence BEFORE JK.
They both need to heal from stuff, but y'all are so blinded by your dislike of JK that you think you(the audience) and Dan are on the same emotional wavelength.

Agree but I'm left with much caution surrounding mingwa for criticism I've voiced before. I'll wait until the series is completed before I give my final deduction. I remember her saying that too but its been proven in her writing that she's easily swayed by her emotions and what's trending
I get that. Hopefully she has a plan for the story and sticks to it. But as you say, i want to see the full picture before i say the author has failed at writing a good story
