Gosh this was so good. So good. Also I had completely forgotten about how the story had started out so repeating the title at the end reminded me of it end and man so many levels of bitter sweetness

I hope the author will make another amazing deep piece like this because I doubt anyone can copy this beautiful storytelling style

I think I’m gonna start calling manga stories like these, short and a direct hit to the heart, “cookies”. Coz omg they give me that sweet feeling of having eaten one bite-sized cookie and then when I look back at the ones I read I realize they are so addictive I have a whole cookie jar in my brain now hahaha

People need to stop shaming others about hygiene— this story is lighthearted and stuff but there are people out there who struggle with executive dysfunction (from depression, ADHD, or other mental illnesses and disorders) who really can’t get themselves to bathe often or even eat properly and do basic every day things. They’re not gloomy, unhappy people, sometimes they’re just your average Joe struggling deeply with hygiene because it’s just horribly difficult to make your brain and your body have the energy to get you to take care of yourself.
The boyfriend in this story is amazing and probably the dream of anyone who struggles with these issues because 1) he doesn’t assume anything about her just because she has a hard time bathing 2) he’s supportive without shaming/blaming her or making her feel like she’s in the wrong or like how this describes and devalues her.

The way to get better hygiene is by building up a routine and if that doesn’t work, it probably mean you’re dealing with some issues. Either way, you are not devalued. Taking care of yourself is a privilege for the healthy and wealthy, doesn’t mean the opposite is shameful, it just means you’re doing your best and you probably have no one to support you because they’re too busy acting haughty and assuming stuff about you to make themselves feel better.
