they get the divorce not bcz they hated each other but bcz her brother died and left a will that she is the next head of their house she can't be from two houses at the same time , this is why the divorce happened plus her brother did that bcz her husband was planning for a rebellion against the prince her siste's son , there was 3 houses that did the rebellion ; she did her best to keep her ex husband save and the prince save , the rebellion happened but failed and her husband was going to be executed he asked to see her as his last wish , harsen is sent to a land ... when he expected to be excuted .but surpriiiise there was Arcella, i dunno what happened and how he didn't die but bcz the last scene was this and the novel ended , but there was an extra when Arcella proposed to her husband and they married again and she was pregnant, her son came to the land where his parents are; he left everything behind and by that i mean the title the king gave him bcz he has no title as his father disowned him so that if the rebillion failed no one will hurt the son bcz he is now not from the house , anyway they lived happily after that Arcella Harsen and viscente and the new member of the family , but they never returned to their land again bcz Harsen is recorded as dead man, the son has no title , but they lived in Arcell'a mother land where Arcella has a royal status so they still are aristocrates

she never tried or even thought about forcing him (yet). and I guess that uncertain 'yet' hovering like a damocles sword over everyone's heads is what makes people loose their shit because of so many other precedents like that. her case seems a bit different to me though. until now at least she seems rather level-headed while also being hopeful still, simply trying to grasp her chance. which makes me think Fatima won't make such a rash judgement in this case as some readers make about her. She's known as a competent general after all. at least that's what Khun thought of her back then. of course we don't know her character well yet and what her desperation will make her do before and after the relationship of those two becomes official...

I mean being a good competent general does not cancel her being total hypocritical actions and thoughts ever since she shows up in the story. she is still a hypocrite and there nothing wrong with that and she everything else but "r level-headed" I think you lost what it mean when you said she is one, a "level-headed" person won't try to force someone else that said he loves someone to marry them, just to use them as a political tool.
