Honestly I liked kamiya way more. They had the same dream and he genuinely fell for her. I hate that she completely pushed her dream away for Ryu.. I feel like Kamiya would have treasured her in a way Ryu will never truly understand.
I feel like he came to terms with marriage after he felt them being forced apart by distance and Asuka giving up, not out of love for her and wanting to build that kind of life together. (￣ε(#￣)Σ
