Personally, I think this manhwa has one of the best developments out there. It's not dragging per se but they're doing build up for the important parts like introducing Garam to Jaehyuk's parents cause they'll surely get the shock of a lifetime if they find out that their son is gay. Having the whole /I've changed because of Garam/ narrative is like a pillow Jaehyuk built as a soft landing to his parents.
If you think about it, this is not dragging at all. If the main CP gets into fights or misunderstandings, they solve it after one or two chapters. It doesn't span into a season or two unlike other BLs in comparison. Build up is not equal to dragging things up. Some of you are too used to short chaptered BLs that has barely any developments and it shows. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I love the pacing of this.

NO BCOS LISTEN. They haven't graduated yet, and they don't know much abt each other from the start to the half f the current chapters. They're just developing slowly and in a good, comfortable pace without much pressure! They're discovering things abt each other rn and zachary is still learning to read his partner’s mood and adapt to it! It's not slow (for me). But just the right pacing to a teenage romance.
Deduction.
On the doctor's flashback, Guwon's method is asking everyone first on what they can do for him if he were to spare them then kills them after if they're useless. But in CH1, Jinwoo can't even say what he can contribute to the community and Guwon had to LOOK FOR THE REASON to save him himself which is out of character all things considered.
There could be two reasons.
One. Jinwoo's father asked Guwon to spare his son before Guwon killed him. Maybe he promised him that Jinwoo could be useful to him or something but Jinwoo retaliated against Guwon thus his bloody state and his messy bandage when he woke up. He must have hit his head pretty badly to get amnesia or it could be a trauma response. But this is filled with holes as well because Guwon is quick to violence. I don't think he'll let Jinwoo live if he attacked him before.
Two. Jinwoo killed his father before Guwon arrived. This is even less plausible since there are no indications of Jinwoo's mental instability aside from strangling Guwon in his sleep.
The secret third thing is that Jinwoo's father got killed by the looter in Prologue Chapter who Guwon killed to save Jinwoo. There was also someone who was calling 911 or the police in the BG about their house being looted on.
And lastly, it could be that Guwon is not the only one of his kind because in the Prologue, it was said that THERE WERE THOSE who are waiting for this day (apocalypse) to arrive. This opens the possibility that there could be someone who's similar to Guwon who murdered Jinwoo's father and because he was exposed to a possibly similar violence, he is getting flashbacks of the past.
But ultimately, Guwon remains suspicious because in the Prologue, it is said that his name means SALVATION but it is only LATER that Jinwoo REALIZES THAT IT ISN'T REALLY THE CASE.
