This is just a sequel of their relationship after the main story, tbh. Plus the amnesia and Yoon’s family joining the picture (they're the ones who needs to be punished with a chasing arc tbh).
in a relationship, guys. even when they're still not official, he's already like a wet cat. Although he's pretty unstable, anxious, and overthinker because of his insane brother (Grayson) who traumatized the hell out of him, he's really clingy to Josh.
HWGSHSHAS ON THE CONTRARY, JOSH IS THE UNHINGED ONE IN THE RELATIONSHIP. IT'S SO UNEXPECTED. He liked seeing Chase tied up and lowkey understands the gratification that Grayson gets for messing with Chase (but not really in GRAYSON WAY cuz Grayson is just insane).
The arc that I loved the most here is the kidnapping arc. Josh really liked Chase's face and Chase got beaten by his kidnappers. Josh was really angry and threw the guy at the wall for punching Chase in the face. This is the complete passage:
***** “Yes, this is over. Get ready to leave and ask for the rest of the process. C is okay. His face is hurt, but….”
Josh suddenly frowned. Chase’s swollen cheek glanced. He fixed it and immediately ended the communication and looked down at Chase:

The quietly subdued voice gave Chase a creepy back. Of course it wasn’t because of fear. He silently lifted his finger and pointed to one of the guys lying on the floor. Josh patted Chase’s cheek with a sad face, and then quickly got up. Turning back to him, he was on the verge of running away and getting up. Josh grabbed his fat and raised him, and he threw his head into the wall as it was, and a violent voice continued
“What, what are you doing?”
Henry turned his head in amazement, and the other guards also focused their eyes wide open. That wasn’t the end. Josh threw the man to the floor. The man grabbed his broken nose and groaned painfully, but Josh’s eyes were wide open. The anger didn’t subside, right away he started kicking the man, he crouched with a painful scream, but Josh continued to kick at him.
“Josh, calm down, why are you doing this?”
“Stop, he faint. Stop.”
Isaac and Seth were surprised by Josh’s appearance in succession and chasing, and stopped him. Still, with one more gear kick, Josh swept over his messy hair. Everyone looked at him in silence. It was the first time they saw Josh so angry.

And really, once Chase started falling for Josh, it becomes seriously funny and pitiful cause he's such an overthinker. And unlike other dominant alphas, he's a damn virgin who only had Josh in his bed in his entire life. He never bedded anyone before and after his first time with Josh.
SO GIVE THE GUY A CHANCE. He got major trust issues (which is understandable due to major trauma) and his mood is due to not releasing his pheromones for many years and relying only on drugs. His brother is also drugging him with something without his knowing and despite everything, Grayson thought he's doing well for Chase. He's really doing every depraved thing because he thinks it's good for Chase. Joshua wanted to kill him when he found out and even told Chase about it, lol.
Chase is really just a major crybaby with trauma and trust issues overall. Josh is THE DADDY between them. He's more like the Alpha in the relationship, lmao. The novel was hilarious.
And Josh gives back as much as Chase (in a fight). He's really my ideal omega, lmao. He needs to hold a lecture on how to stand up to bastards. The bodyguards are also hilarious btw. They're all falling in love on duty. Also, Josh is so damn THIRSTY for Chase in the novel. And he's so cool in the Coyote arc!!!!

It's good, just give it time. Chase is really just a big bundle of trauma which prolonged the get together cuz he doubts everyone's intentions about him (which js true cuz omegas always drugs him to sleep with him). But between the two, Josh is srsly the ideal partner. He gives Chase space, comfort, and even HEADPATS! HEADPATS, I SAY!! They're good for each other, istg.
Sometimes, giving up the will to be alive after everything is also a brave way to live your life.

I do understand your point, as it takes everything you have to cone to that decision, thus, it's not that you're weak that's why you came with the decision. However, i hope you do find the courage, too, to live life despite everything, to find another purpose, to hold on to something, to live for someone, and more... i sure hope Dan will find his will to live again when the time comes after her grandma's passing... he's having such a hard time, even having nightmares due to fear along with the past traumatic experiences. ╥﹏╥
I love how the author wrote this story. It's not a one time magical love at first sight thing after going back in time. It's like slowburn or something. The run of the story is good and even the relationship development.
