He's STILL trying to rationalize himself touching Jinwoo TO Jinwoo... This chapter he said that entire spiel about it "taking two birds out with one stone" and Jinwoo replied with "if you realize, why didn't you stay as far away as you can?! Why did you have to think of the exact opposite!" (actual punctuation, exclamation marks to show he's upset) and "fess up, you've been after me all this time, haven't you?! Why else would you have dirty thoughts about me!". Jinwoo has never believed Sangtae when he tries to act like he's "just helping", he's literally acknowledged the opposite, that Sangtae is taking advantage and just now he realized why, because he's being looked at "in the way a man looks at a woman". He's saying himself that Sangtae is taking advantage of him for sex. I was trying to give Sangtae the benefit of the doubt by thinking "well, at least he's refusing to enter", but the fact that Sangtae just pointed out himself that he isn't entering shows to me that he's doing it on purpose to use as a sort of "evidence" that he's "just helping" and so that he can make it seem like he's "being nice" by not going all the way. He's literally just a sleazy guy taking advantage of his crush while they're incapable of resisting and acting like he isn't doing anything wrong because they felt good... This is the same as fucking someone under the effects of a date rape drug, maybe worse as he keeps a coherency in his mind rather than being "out of it". I bet people are going to protest that this one wasn't rape too... He protested the entire time, this time there weren't any lines from Jinwoo neither in his head OR spoken aloud that could even IMPLY that it's consensual and when it's over he's depressed about it wondering how he's going to tell his girlfriend... He JUST felt good, it wasn't consensual, he did resist both verbally and physically. Jinwoo: "what the hell do you think you're doing?!", "don't you think you should stay as far away from me as you can then?! Why did you have to think of the exact opposite!"(these are the actual punctuations, the exclamation marks are there to show he's not happy, if his surprised face doesn't clue you in) , "w-what are you doing?! Haven't you even the slightest sense of shame?!" (LITERALLY directly showing he doesn't want it, if this isn't enough you can't be helped), "this is crazy!", "y-you sicko...". He does NOTHING but protest. At this point it's rape by definition, not just sexual assault, as there was penetration this time. He fingers him against his will. If a man pushed a woman into a stall and fingered her vagina while in this same situation there wouldn't be ANY support. What people try not to acknowledge is that the ass is where penetration happens between two men, so him fingering his ass is the same. As a parting/side note: Jinwoo JUST told him in the last chapter that just TOUCHING him dispels the fantasies. Not sexual touches. During the sex scene last chapter, when Sangtae touches Jinwoo, as he's suddenly yanking Jinwoo's pants down, Jinwoo notices the fantasies stopped and goes to tell him, but Sangtae interrupts by commenting on Jinwoo's dick size which throws him off for a second before Sangtae starts to fondle his balls before he can react, he stops being able to function because of the pleasure so he can't tell Sangtae. Honestly I have tried to like this story because of the art. But I find Sangtae's character disgusting. Yeah he's fictional, but there are such actual stalkers like him that get sick satisfaction out of their victims inability to escape grosses me out. Don't even get me started on fujoshi love for the tsundere and yandere excuse. Dude isn't playing hard too get, and he keeps reminding Sangtae I don't want you. But eh the author will end with them in the usual toxic relationship anyway so.....I'm literally tired of the oh i had a crush on you in the past so I've gone out of my way to ruin your life, rape you, just about will do anything just so that you'll notice me = yandere= yay it's moe cute. Personally, i'll keep reading just to see if Sangtae is made to suffer at least a bit before they get together. Though i don't really want them together right now, I'm not expecting something as unrealistic as them NOT getting together. I meant specifically in yaoi context, i knew you would say this as i was typing that last reply, but just left it in hopes you'd understand. (≧∀≦) When i said "unrealistic", i meant in the sense that this is a yaoi manga and they're the 2 MCs with no sight of a possible random 3rd MC that could interrupt this pairing. Maybe it's yaoi because they have sex, no romance needed? But i don't view it as realistic to expect anything less than that they're going to be together, because this is yaoi.

But that’s also what I find so completely strange about how people negotiate this as still realistic simply because Santgae is “cute” for not knowing how to talk to his crush and going the lengths he has. As a character he’s sabatoged his love interest since high school and now at this point has raped him. But that’s okay he has crush so it’s all in the name of love... The thing about yaoi which I don’t understand is that it’s literarure. While it’s fictional the point of literature is to connect to the authors characters in order to connect to the story. Doesn’t matter if it’s a book, a comic, a movie that’s how we fall in love with characters and plots. How people can remove themselves for one narrative style and apply themselves to another doesn’t make sense to me. This is why when people root for people like Sangtae and Jihoon to be together I truly don’t know how they compartmentalize arbitrarily narratives like this. It normalizes it or desensitizes people. I find hentai to be like this too when people argue about that and yaoi. Yeah guys love watching rape but then you hear about cases like AZiz Ansari accused of raped because he’s taking cues from the porn he likely watched as a teen and thought women like the idea of rough sex for it be good sex. There’s real effects on how people think about sex and Love. People can say they don’t think violence or abuse is wrong in yaoi and that’s within their right. I think that people connect to what they can relate to, it's why there're people who get so upset about rape in manga and people who can look at it as JUST a manga. I fall into the latter btw. It's not that the people who don't get upset DON'T care, it's that the people who DO get upset usually have a reason for getting upset or are just naturally inclined towards being emotional. Personally, i don't have any issues with almost anything in manga, not just rape, what affects ME is the storytelling. If the story is told in a way that makes me feel for the characters, then i can get emotional, but in general i have a filter for the lower quality manga that only use the darker aspects of yaoi as a plot device. The ones that just throw in rape for seemingly no reason. "A man like you", for example. The entire latest arc with Siwon now captured on an island doesn't really mean too much to me because Siwon isn't an immersive character, i only care that he gets out of that situation because i care about Jinha as he's been fleshed out and i want Jinha to be happy. I fleetingly think that Siwon doesn't deserve that as well, but i really care about Jinha. It's really a matter of connecting. Does this mean i'd condone someone kidnapping and sexually assaulting someone irl? No. Irl, to me, is a whole other matter. I don't need that "grand narrative" to get me into the situation like in literature, i value actual humans pretty high as a default, so if some woman ran up to me saying she was raped i'd just help her out of basic concern for her. No need for the "details" or for her "character to be fleshed out" since i can already connect with her on a basic level, human to human. Naturally, all of this is case by case, people relate/connect to different things. In the case of media/literature, certain settings get you invested more quickly as well, not just characters. The more realistic, the higher the relatability and the more personal the reactions will be.

It looked to me like he wanted to approach him because he's the guy he used to have a crush on, he looked very hopeful he'd be remembered and it looked like he was wanting something romantic from their interactions. That's a good point about the hammer thing, i guess that could be why he's avoiding him, though it looked to me that he just doesn't want to risk falling for a guy who doesn't like him back. He comments on how he showed up to their "date" dressed casually, gets dejected and then when they start to hit it off and he sees his happy face he recoils and doesn't want to get any closer because him coming dressed casually made it clear to him that the other doesn't view it as a date. That's what i got anyways. The hammer flashbacks are random and don't appear to have been tied into the story yet, seems like they're more for US to see rather than that they're actually notable events happening currently.
How is Siwon THIS stupid?!!! I can understand feeling bad because he got hurt, but how was he there? He left during daylight, he must've been been traveling awhile... Why do i get the feeling that that either isn't the stone of fate or is a trap of some kind? That scum Xuan really knows how to manipulate, he waited till Siwon was tired and about to cry before he swooped in to take advantage of his emotional turmoil and "save" him while "getting hurt". I really think it was all planned, he used his stone to make Siwon trip and then let himself get hurt on the way down... He's so obvious in his blatant manipulation that it pisses me off, he was clearly acting at breakfast, trying to act like Siwon was overreacting to last night...
I kinda want the team captain to be with his injured friend, don't get me wrong, blondie is adorable and hasn't done anything wrong, it's just that the injured friend had feelings for him for 2 YEARS. It's like the blondie is just coming in and sweeping his crush away... You can see he feels the same way about it as he just got pretty pissed and blew up. I think that how i want this to go is that the blondie and team captain get close which results in the team captain opening up to the possibility of being with a guy, he sees the injured friend had feelings for him all along and realizes he has feelings too. Blondie gets a new love interest. I can't help but want to root for the long winded love, it'd be nice if Blondie ended up being an important character, but not part of the couple, an important friend to the team captain who helped him get with his childhood friend (albeit unintentionally) and then he gets his own love story.
