Years ago having been introduce to omegaverse for the first time, i was convinced that genre was made to induce suffering to a character tht's innate to them, something they can never run off from no matter who they meet and how happy they are. One way or another, omegaverse could stir pain, heartbreak, suffering or even tragedy more than a normal universe would. Imagine omegaverse + tragic life story and universe = destruction ( great plotmaterial)
This is more for traditional omegaverse btw, where a bite of an alpha (regardless if its assault or not) could form a bond with an omega and the Omega suffers w/ removing a bond while the aplha does not, or the alpha could have multiple partners but the omega could only stick to one as long as the mark exists.
I remembered there was even a comment from a reader i found yrs ago how the omegaverse reminds them of a woman irl (for the omega role) but with a more defined tragic fate.
Same same. I like Omegaverse only when all the bad stuff is nullified (technology and medication has advanced enough that people are able to lead normal lives and there’s no discrimination) and it’s only the fun stuff like crazy monkey sex, being influenced (but not coerced) by pheromones, and babies between any two gender combinations. Traditional Omegaverse is just too upsetting, like even if the main characters are able to find happiness, society is still messed up. Hard to find ><
If the girl was a menace, she would've had the ml controlled through her tiny little fingers. Its gonna be like a manipulation game, who gets to be the better manipulator wins — she'll shower him with all the love back that he wants, then she could get anything she wants. But i guess that'll make this psychological lol I think i've read something like that before.
