Low Tide in Twilight really spoiled me for omegas who do more than just cry and take with 0 attempts at resistance. So tired of the “I should resist… but it feels so good” trope. Like if you wanna just draw porn, draw porn. No need to waste our time with a forgive the rapist plot line bc “he’s a little nice now” knowing the rape will be brushed under the rug and no real repercussions will befall the rapist. So tired of MLs who fundamentally see nothing wrong with rape. They only slightly feel a little bad about it after they start to like the person they’ve been raping, not because they grew and think rape is bad.

No? Have you read it? He’s adapted to the situation and doing the best he can for his brother, but nowhere did it say he forgave him. Especially in the latest chapters. Also the seme in that one genuinely changes and realizes how scummy he was, not just bc he likes uke but bc he realizes what a trash person he was at his core. Like even if uke rejects him for good and leaves him, the seme wouldn’t repeat past actions with someone else/ever force himself on someone else because he’s fundamentally changed as a person. Cannot say the same for 90% of other semes that start as awful garbage assaulters.
Yeah, I have read it and well, it's just another omegaverse where the victim falls for his rapist eventually. I don't believe in this 'gangster red-flag/rapist genuinely becomes a a nice person' thing. I only accept the redemption arc because it's fiction and simply I just switch off my brain cells while reading that story and enjoying the good art. The seme is a creepy person. The uke should have left the seme a long time ago, but there wouldn't be a multiple season story. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

I think the car hijacking part is just badly written. So the blondie is so good at stealing expensive foreign cars that he was able to turn it into a career. He’s been doing it for years and never been caught. So it should be that hijacking and finding his sister are the only things he takes seriously. BUT apparently for hijacking there is no prep work, no scoping out a mark, no checking who it belongs to and coming up with a plan. He just… just finds a random expensive car and breaks in? No cap or face coverings, getting his dna all over the car and letting his very striking appearance be exposed? He also apparently doesn’t recognize cars he’s seen before.
If the car thing never comes up again, fine I’ll let it go. It just bothers me, personal nitpick, when an author gives someone a unique hobby or “career” but then obviously put no thought into it other than “that’s different”. This says nothing about the overall arching story btw, it could still be good, just this one particular writing choice bothers me.
frey not being able to recognize ceos car actually does me sense to me because 1) he heard we him say his sisters name that he has been tryin to find for a good while so he zeroed in on that
2) it was dark out, so midnight, when he ran into him and dependin on the color of the car it looks different at night especially when theres no other light source but the moon
3) i dont even think they were sittin upfront but were in the back seat.

Being into risky or more hardcore sex is fine and all, that’s not why. But he’s treating the uke like nothing more than an object and purposefully being cruel, not in a fetish way but in a “I’m only dating you to shut you up” way. They’ve been dating like 1 day and he already soft pressured the uke into public sex. No actual non sex related dates. His backstory doesn’t help either. He treats the uke badly because he thinks he’s with him just for his looks or something? But the Uke didn’t really know his looks before and even explained it was because he witnessed the seme’s acts of kindness. Also his inner thoughts in the latest chapter reveal he doesn’t REALLY love uke and lying about loving someone is one of the most emotionally manipulative things you can do in a relationship.

Basically MC learns he never had a brother and the whole thing was made up to trick him into obeying and enduing the psycho’s abuse. After finding out all his suffering was for nothing, his brain breaks and he continues to be an ash tray. That’s it. That’s all that happens. Not really worth the read imo. This was ripe for a revenge plot.

Really hate when the author has the person who was sexually assaulted apologize to the person who assaulted them because they… fought back? Like it’s normal and they SHOULD apologize. And then just brush it under the rug.
It also bothers me that Finn seems to be the only one who put in effort to find Mag. It didn’t feel like Mag was waiting on him, we never saw if no longer being able to see Finn deeply impacted him the same way. For all appearances Mag was living his life per usual and whether he ever saw Finn again wasn’t that important to him. It needed a chapter to show them BOTH searching and then a reuniting chapter. It was an excellent set-up with a lukewarm and rushed pay off. It’s not bad, just a disappointment.
I believe Mag performing for the rich was meant to imply that. He knew Finn was wealthy and had to attend those parties, so he left the circus group he was with and was attending those parties as a performer to find Finn. That's why Finn said 'no wonder I couldn't find you at the circus.' They were both searching for each other, but Finn was looking in the circus and Mag in the parties so they didn't find each other til then.
The story is from Finn’s POV so of course you will see Finn try more. Mag completely changed his performance and even came up with a story that he hoped would reach Finn and draw him in. There’s also the fact that Finn comes from an affluent family and can travel far and wide without issue, whereas Mag still has to work and perform to be able to do anything.
The story doesn’t need to show these things any more than they did, I think the problem is these days it seems readers can’t comprehend or critically think about the media they are consuming. I constantly see comments like this on manga that simply seem to miss the point just because it wasn’t blatantly explained or shown.
I agree the chapter was short but it was most likely a publication/serialization thing rather than the author being lazy. It’s hard to include everything you want when you get limited to 6 chapters and possibly limited to a specific number of pages too.

They’re playing it for laughs but the father basically put out a rape-hit on his own son. All for a grandkid. It’s such an unnecessary plot element too, could have just as easily had it be whoever marries his son, not forcefully impregnates him. Kind of hard to enjoy the “comedy” manga when we know the father’s vile actions are going to be forgiven and laughed off because muh grandkids. Ugh

Nakwon planning to isolate and purposefully get Mokwha drunk in order to have sex is rape. He’s planning a vacation centered entirely around the idea of raping Mokwha. What happened to his growth? This shows that he hasn’t really changed. He still thinks he can do whatever he wants to Mokwha, justifying it by thinking anything non-violent is fine. Really, really hope Mokwha beats some sense into Nakwon and everything comes crashing down around him. He only sees his past actions as wrong because he did them to someone he likes now. He still does not, at his core, think violently raping someone is wrong. Only that now his violent past is standing in the way of his current goals.
Going to continue reading because the writing does give me some small amount of hope that karma will come back to bite him and Mokwha will dump him for good. (Or at least for a long time)

Rei not divorcing him will forever leave a bad taste in my mouth. I STILL think he got off easy. Wish instead of retiring a beloved hero, he was banned from being a hero after the abuse to his family was revealed. This should have been a more ambiguous ending for the Todoroki’s instead of the happy go lucky, he’s definitely 100% getting forgiveness eventually, even Dabi cracked at the end
