ML became unredeemable the moment he raped MC. No dubious consent, this was a “sleep with me or your brother will be hanged” situation. Him raping her was not for her own protection, it did not further his political goals, it was done purely to satisfy his own lust and desire to own MC. He does not love her, he does not see her as her own person. She is an object, at best a pet, that can potentially deliver him a vague feeling of happiness.

Trauma response is an explanation, not an excuse. “I’ve been hurt/I hurt the most so I can hurt others” is not valid and completely disregards the people who are hurt by such responses. A sad past doesn’t excuse current shitty behavior.

Was just thinking how MC was a total creep and loser- he became a teacher to be fawned over by teenage girls, he revolves his self worth over how dateable teenage girls find him, dude was a walking future statutory charge. They really went the route of making MC be the one to apologize and comfort the garbage ML who HAS been treating MC like trash. I cannot understand what enjoyment anyone could get out of this story or its characters. This chapter proves there will be no reverse chasing arc and MC will always be the one who puts in the most effort. This is such a frustrating read and I hope anyone who decides to engage with this garbage knows to respect themselves more than MC. I’m honestly surprised he was able to chase after ML for so long considering he has no spine.
i thought it was a good change of pace that the uke's putting in all the effort chasing the seme for once. it looks like the seme might actually have low self esteem and where other ppl give up on him bc he acts like an asshole the uke's empathetic and optimistic enough to want to provide him support and be there for him. the seme did make a remark earlier on how his family doesn't want him to have close friends, so he probably actually doesn't know how to not be a douche canoe
