I like this story, it's cute, and just a big ass misunderstanding on top of a misunderstanding. With the backstory in place, I can now understand the ML's actions against the FL.

Do I agree with them, absolutely not. But do I understand, yes, completely.

At first, I was just as angry as anyone that the ML was believing in rumors about a woman he didn't even know and just decided a sudden revenge plot. But he only did that due to misguided anger. He's been traumatized, and he never "got over" that. So he made a choice to cope in this way. It's hard, I know, and I would never make that decision personally, but I do get it.

As for the FL, there was nothing she could do about the rumors, in their society, if she tried to deny them, other voices would scream louder as if she were saying she was absolutely doing such things. In her eyes, it was better to just let the rumors spread and make peace with herself, that's what she did. Again, not a decision I would have made, and it's something that came with trauma, doesn't make it okay, but again, I understand.

I feel like a lot of people read this story and don't try to look at the characters for the people they are. They look at the story chapter by chapter, situation by situation, instead of as a story as a whole.

Just because I don't agree with the actions taken in the story, doesn't mean it's a bad story.

It's an opportunity for great fanfiction!
