I agree! On its own this manga is great! I don't believe people are taking our mc's past into consideration as they read through. we can't expect a former gang leader to change so suddenly. That's the reason there are so many chapters as this is his story of trying to right his wrongs and to have a better future.
They're also complaining about the romance part, which i can understand but for now as the genres clearly state there is no harem tag for those who dislike the "harem route." I'd also like to mention that they're teenage girls who not only like our mc but genuinely care for him. Would you be able to sit idly by if you thought your closest friend was in potential to serious danger? As much as we are frustrated when they are in/ or getting themselves into trouble we should understand their reasons.
Also, this is just something i wanna say but it kind of makes me sad that people are comparing this story to other second life mangas. I notice there's a lot of people doing that for other stories and even comparing them to Solo Leveling, (Which yes, we all know it's an amazing manhwa) but we should stop comparing and at least give appreciation when it's due.

About romance part, tbh I also hate harem to the bone.. But I don't see it here, not yet. In my eyes, they are still in one-sided-crush loveline. Harem is more like the MC loving all the fishes, kissing all the fishes, groping all the fishes, and having sex with all the fishes. And all the fishes are like horny 24/7 and want to be laid asap and breed. But here, we only see puppy loves and some friendships.
I will never drop this unless someone come and tell me that this manhwa was based on a novel and years later he ended up as King of Harem, before then all is well. Why drop such a good manhwa?
Ture talk my friend. The male lead is pretty much going through a recycled process right now and shouldn't expect him to be a superhero in a minute. I like this very much because it's realistic in it's time frame and the events. Also people need to take in consideration that the setting of the stories about gang life which is pretty much violence. People need to come their tits down and enjoy the great piece this manga is
Ah yes, i hate harem as well. I've probably only made a few exceptions in some mangas (i cant think of any atm) but most of them had very bad female/male love interests, it was very hard to read. ╥﹏╥

Yes! I also like the pacing. The events, imo, never felt rushed or too slow and it is realistic like you said! It really is saddening that there is quite a bit of criticism towards it.

I think I've already said and heard it almost everyhere. You know what the "rights" thing to do be because you read all the character perspectives, we read all the spoken and inner words.. But they, the characters, can't read each other. We know Ced love Tia because we read his mind. But Tia CAN'T. She's a strategy-general, not a shaman. Sure Ced already show all his love but Tia knew Ced always like that, both in the past and present.. Ced always take care and love his people, Tia falls for this traits. She took Ced's caress and loves as she is also one of his people.
And for Tia, who never loved by anyone even family, love is never easy. It is hard for her, who had limbs and tounge cut by a brother, to realize she is worth to love. Not mention she always think herself as a sinner.. After all those nightmares, she would never dare to think Ced loves her... It called trauma..
And for I am a trauma survivor too, I know what Tia feel and the reason she do this and that. If you can't understand this, congratulation, it means you have lived a decent and well life!
But... Just because you have a well done life, you shouldn't call other ways of life stupid, fuck, bitch, or else.. I lived my life, you lived yours, and Tia lived hers. Why judge?
I feel like a lot of what happens in manga is they don't touch base on that subject. They don't explain or interpret WHY they end up doing self destruction ect. Like people who don't know mental health issues aren't going to know whats its like until the writer puts US the readers in that head space and explain what it is/how it effects her. They always go with how the characters feel and such without creating the mood. So in 1 managa I ready they kinda had a representation of depression and it was this big black scribbley background and u could interpret that that background is the FEELING <ie depression> and thats why they make thoes destruction/ dessissions or don't understand ect ect

Yes I understand your pov. And tbh, I think most of the authors out there also didn't have actual "experiences" of mental illness. Like maybe they only heard about it, researched it, or it was their friends or familes that ill.. not themselves.
And, well, even for us, it was hard to describe. For me, I realized how blessed I am with my life but it didn't stop me for trying to kill myself in the past(≧∀≦) my doctor once ask why I want to do it, and I just answered dunno I just want to. LOL my youth phew..
So for an example.. an author only listen to this, my story, they can only write it on as "something that hurt sooo much that she want to die but others won't understand her" without capability to explaining properly why it hurts me.

He was also awarded a fief, which was previously owned(?) by his aunt, Betrix Sushrew(Sister of MC's grandmother, paternal side). They also made a deal to create a franchise(?) in the South-something were Betrix lives(?). He kinda staggered for a short time, and losing feeling/perception on his legs.
When they returned to Lombardy Estate, their attending doctor checked Gallahan. The doctor asked for MC to be removed from the room before giving the full diagnosis to MC's father and the grandfather. The diagnosis was Gallahan have the disease known as "Tlenbourg Disease/Curse" and there is no cure for it. Only the father, grandfather and the doctor knows that Gallahan has the disease, ofcourse MC knew it too. MC sent a letter to Estira(apprentice of Doctor O'Malley) who is currently at the Academy about her father's condition. Days go by and other doctors visited the estate, for second opinion or a possible cure for the disease. Vieze somehow got wind of what is happening and somehow tricked the attending doctor of the estate Doctor O'Malley to reveal Gallahan's state. Vieze was estatic of the fact that his brother is gonna die, and also gave the information to the Angenas.
The Angenas tried to take advantage of the fact that Gallahan Lombardy is going to die, so they tried to request the emperor rights to establish a ready-to-wear clothing store 'for the people', same business as Gallahan Lombardy on grounds that if the business ends because of Gallahan's death it might affect the economy of the empire(dunno how?). Lulac(MC's grandfather), the chad he is, threatened Ferdinand Angenas(father of the Empress). Grandfather also assured the emperor that they have a cure for Gallahan, which ofcourse surprise both the Angenas and the Emperor.
Estira arrived in the estate and tried to cure Gallahan with a pill she created, but somehow Doctor O'Malley is against it. (It seems like he is already in the Vieze ship as the next Patriarch). Ultimately Lulac decided to try and give the medication. The medication was only 50% effective, and Estira and MC continued to research about the cure and they need something to improve the medicine, ML gave some books to MC about plants/flowers and also helped her read some books about the cure ever since he knew the fact that her father was ill as he wanted to help too. Anway the father was CURED because of a flower, Springia Flower, a flower which ML planted and gave to MC in earlier chapters as a gift."

The flower that saves her father, is indirectly thanks to her mother. Because her mom is the reason why it grows there in the first place (that flower is from her hometown, and so it's rare to be in the imperial city). Her mom's side of the family is sort of a tribe, and they have powers. But with it, comes a price to pay for its usage. The stronger the power, the bigger the price. And Tia's mom paid with her life for using it. Her mom's power was the ability to see the future.

Yes, Tia does have powers and hers is also the ability to see future,however since she's a halfblood it means her powers are really weak but that also means she won't suffer any strong percussion due to her powers.
