rereading the manga and something stood out. so dean's guard/friend/advider rubeaous- iris' cousin- knew what would happen to his cousin's family, and his own family but he had no intention to step into help. And dean knows that his course of action would affect the anderson family who's head was the grandpa that is fond of him and his teacher, yet he continued with his plan. I get that he's doing it for the country or whatever but it just rubs me the wrong way
doesn't this feel like suddenly i became a princess except that the princess here did not consciously try to capture the father like athy did to claude. and the other girl is a more sinister version of jeanette

Making nora and his parents have a misunderstanding with each other! I think his parents genuinely care for him and want to be closer to him. It's just they're doing all the wrong things and not listening. I mean his mum even reached out to our girl for help. I think his dad was worried for his safety in case he was caught by a palace guard and subject to punishment. And because of the long misunderstanding fuelled by the crown prince and the wall built up, nora can't see his parents' love for him. ╥﹏╥
that the day he eats his initial words of not wanting a marriage of love/not expecting love from his would be soon...but it may take longer at this point? He's not conscious of what his feelings are, he's just being led by them but he doesn't understand them. Waiting for the day the misunderstanding bursts.
