Criminally short are there any side stories? I though the story was beautiful tbh, y’all are so superficial it’s quite ironic

This genuinely gives me anxiety but I can’t stop, I need a happy ending and some kind of closure. I can’t even think of a form of punishment that is enough for the crimes the father committed. The main couple are kinda finding each other and support each other but hate that the light-haired brother feels ”tarnished” and broken and the dark-haired brother feels guilty & disgust over the situation which will probably be misinterpreted by the light-haired one. I hope they can work through the shame and guilt together and help each other heal.

This chapter was so lacking in substance, just him over explaining his perspective to someone who really doesn’t care at all. It was like the reverse of show don’t tell. We already had the image of him that what he was talking about seemed to promote, that he’s doing his role as a worker of his company and knows about the sports world from personal experience, it’s like his whole character so this whole conversation just seemed so forced like he was speaking from a script of his character description or something. The romance is slow burn, the previous chapters in the pool were good, but there’s a difference between slow burn and slow paced. I would not say the story is slow paced, the plot does not feel dragged out since there are other things happening that helps move the pace. The lack of… anything in this chapter feels off since there’s is a certain amount of things to take in from each chapter and this chapter, containing barely anything, is the same length as any other so you’re reading the same amount of pages which feels lacking. This chapter was kinda ”go girl, give us nothing”.

The ”would you sleep with him if he asked” also feels very unnatural since main characters usually have small talks and have been slowly building, or re discovering, a deeper relationship were they can begin to open up. We know that the athlete probably harbored romantic feelings and admired the MC, whilst the MC saw him as a younger brother and now is somewhere in friends-work territory. Since MC hasn’t even begun to have doubts about if his feelings could be romantic the comment about sleeping together from a third party feels like a way to force the romantic pace to go forward without the characters actually interacting. It would make way more sense if MC was at the stage where he’s trying to convince himself the relationship between them is purely work related (because he’s in denial of the romantic feelings being there) but since there is no doubt there is no self-convincing needed either so everything just falls flat.

There was also a bit of a sentimental(ish) moment where MC made a comment about the other guy having children and he answered that he wish he could but can’t, followed by hinting at him labeling himself as a beta for work hinting at the reason being gender discrimination. (I know the whole point was to drop the hint that he’s an alpha too but sill) Immediately followed by ”so if he asked, would you sleep with him”.

Also, I know the author didn’t literally give us nothing and I don’t mean no disrespect, this chapter stood out from the rest in a bad way because the rest, all other chapters, were good.

What if: another spin-off after this finished, with red-head as the MC. Hmmm

It’s easy to navigate and the story is sooo good, better than I can describe which is why YOU should read it :D (it’s so underrated I wish the fandom was bigger ). I would recommend starting from the beginning to get into the world building and history which will help later on, you also get to know much more about what the characters think and feel which helps especially with the arbiter since he doesn’t say much lol (there’s more to him than his mysterious person I swear). You can probably skip and start where these uploads end (I’m not really sure what chapter it is novel wise) but I promise even the first few chapters will help you understand so much.

I’m sorry but imagine your son who is a literal child feeling like they have to preserve a literal LEAF and give it to you as a gift because they feel helpless and hope you won’t have a relapse as an alcoholic since you lost your husband who is ALSO your child’s father but your son can’t grieve because they have to walk on eggshells around you??? WILD. My heart breaks for Ian fr, glad he has his friends (and boyfriend :D). What happened was not the mothers fault but it’s so irritating how she still continues to neglect him and refuses to see him as anything else except exactly what she wants to in order to feel better for herself when there are both adults and CHILDREN who she interacts with that set better examples. smh

Beautiful story. Love this. Love them. Really hope all goes well but there’s probably going to be more angst and hardship that they’ll hopefully overcome. I really hope it’s not going to be something like Miya feeling he’s a burden to the group but they’ll both be met with the reality of being used to being the best in their circle to being amongst the best and struggling with self-image and pride. Also shipped the teacher with jail (or truck-kun) but that sadly didn’t became canon (yet, fingers crossed). I agree it’s disgusting and at the same time not unrealistic. It’s sadly very common in the dancer/gymnast/figure skating world for coaches to prey on young promising children since they have unfortunately easy circumstances to groom them (and more) given their power and influence and the child being young and their career depending on keeping a good relationship with their coach. Disturbing and realistic. I was scared he was going to blackmail either of them so if this is the last we’ll see of him that does give me some peace in mind. The mother seems really understanding and empathetic, I’m sure she would’ve stood against the teacher but I’m also sure she’ll stand just as strongly with her son, and them both, in the future.
