Anyone else thinking the seme isn't as bad as you'd thought he'd be?
Actually for me it's not just that. He isn't the best, but he isn't a jerk, AT ALL - for me at least. He isn't "as bad as I thought he'd be", he is NOT bad.
There's this notion that people like this would immediately be the jerk types... But we actually saw Ryouhei thinking a lot about relationships. It shows how Ryouhei actually cares, and the reason why they actually got together as lovers was because he was thinking A LOT about his relationship with Yuuma, and wasn't just using him for sex. He's curious what Yuuma was thinking and that made him realize how'd he want to treasure him the same way too (as he said during sex in the end). If he was a jerk he'd toss away the possible feelings Yuuma might be feeling or thinking, but contrary to that, he was thinking of all of these from the start, since chapter 1.
He might look like a playboy asshole but ever since the start he just didn't want to have a relationship that would end up shallow. He looks and acts like that but he's actually a serious person who thinks about these stuff seriously, for me.
I might actually be kind of fond of him more than I thought I am to be honest.
So uhm people are kinda getting heated. I'm not bisexual so I don't have any right to speak over bisexuals but I just wanted to say that. .. He probably said that because of a past experience/trauma. His university friend (he's surely involved somehow) even asked him about still holding a grudge on him about what happened in the past, so there's surely something that happened. Of course that does not justify the hate he has cause everyone is not the same but sometimes we sub/unconsciously do the same for some other things right? We tend to take a defensive form in certain situations basing from our past experiences related to it. I'm not saying we should tolerate his biphobic behavior, I'm just saying we should probably give this more time and give the seme more understanding... His past will come to light soon, I expect, by then we will know. But of course if you feel hurt, sad, or mad, you have every right to feel that way.

I guess I'm alone rooting for Kase. Although it's more understandable for people to root for the second guy now cause for the first chapter we already have more background of the second male lead with the mc compared to Kase. Kase was just portrayed as someone who "left" - but since I'm trusting there's more to this, I'll side on Kase cause tbh, the way he smiled purely and passionately went for his dreams moved me (even with just few panels and pages it felt beautiful).
I don't mind if the second lead gets the mc though cause their story together is also interesting and cute ~ seeing Kase just pursue his passion is inspiring and moving and I think it's one thing that draws and will draw me more into this manga... Somehow I think what I'm currently feeling towards Kase as a character is also similar to how the mc felt for him in the past (idk now).
no, I agree with you, it should/could be Kase. Love is not perfect, falling in love can be messy and chaotic, things/circumstances can get in the way.
Plus, I understand feeling unworthy of someone who is just so totally - albeit innocently - in love with you (aka like a "puppy"), thus kinda running away from them.... We shall see how it turns out ^^
Thank you, your reply kinda made me feel relieved somehow. I definitely agree. Can't wait to see more of this
^^ hahah thanks ;) and same!
It is always refreshing to find a story that kinda differs from your usual guys-just-end-up-together-from the start-storyline in yaois, cuz that is more realistic in my opinion... cuz let's be honest, it's kinda rare that you find the "right" guy for you from the get-go.
now, let's see if the straight guy - who actually has a GIRLFRIEND (if I remember correctly) - gets back into the "side-chick" position ;) heheh
