How would this starburst candy coded crazy eyes come out of nowhere and have the authority to give another consort a mission to do? When she doesn’t seem to have been involved in governance at all before this?
Especially to go to an army base and direct military personnel?
What the hell was man traumatized consort even supposed to do there?
Why would she even be surprised that men are there?
Wouldn’t that be obvious, so she should have at least been more prepared than bringing two female guards? Or is this basically a kidnapping in disguise?
I’m also curious about the first question she isn’t even the first consort and no matter their previous status all of them are not consorts names by numbers so why do they care and same goes for servants of the other ladies… strange af
This was cute. Fluffy, full of the expected tropes but in like a good way. Good for a low-fi comfort read but with like 40% of the story being smut.
I actually think the characters have really good writing.
And the last thing I am is a non-con apologist but I seriously think this is a case of the ML being misunderstood/misunderstanding and also having truly shite communication skills.
Like for example ML is calling MC a ‘dirty little slut’ but I think he just means ‘you’re so sexy’. That’s just how he talks and doesn’t actually mean to be derogatory. But I’m positive if MC told him he really doesn’t like to be called that ML would immediately do his best to never say that to MC again.
It’s like ML has lived in a whole different culture and the MC and him are just learning how to communicate.
ML doesn’t understand MC either and keeps misunderstanding him but he listens to everything MC says with his full attention.

Yesn't? That's the best way to describe it honestly, but the story is good coming from the novel so it's honestly up to you if you wanna read. I'd consider it coercion, or threatened but that's honestly just the beginning of the story and towards the middle and later on its all consent (in my opinion from what I've interpreted in read from the novel)
Short answer: what the ML does to the MC would be considered sexual assault and coercion. But the ML doesn’t realize that.
Long answer: I’d have to re-read to be more specific, but MC feels like he has no choice than to do what ML wants him to do. That includes what sexual contact they’ve had so far. MC is justified in thinking this.
ML thinks this has all been consensual from the start. ML thinks MC basically confessed to him and is teasing him and playing hard to get.. Probably because ML’s used to being around women that use sex to manipulate and survive in that world. Also it’s not helpful that MC is too scared to tell ML to fuck off or deny him.
ML doesn’t look to understand the power dynamics going on and is treating MC like he has more agency in this situation than MC actually does. ML seems like he has no idea that his affection and the intensity of his feelings comes off as very scary and threatening to MC. That in actuality ML is forcing his own feelings one sidedly onto MC.
MC doesn’t realize that he actually can say no to ML and not face dire consequences from ML.
I’m relieved that through reading this I’ve found that I’m not a shallow person. Because tho the Duke as his younger self is drawn in an aesthetically pleasing way, his character has made him as appealing to me as wooden post.
Story wise I appreciate that he’s a genuine evil pos and that they’ve kept that.
In most of these type stories the father is just misunderstood and it’s up to the child to become a totally different person or ‘fix him’ for their relationship to improve(YIKES authors)
Or the father is still the bad guy but he’s at the level of a Scooby-Doo villain and it kinda takes away from the catharsis to see the dudes thwarted by MC in one chapter.
I mean it makes sense because in real life the people that pray on the vulnerable they have power over are pathetic loser cowards but in the stories they don’t really frame the narrative that way.
If they do go down that line of the MC going back and realizing what a lame pos their father is it’s usually comes across as more of victim shaming. Especially if it’s a transmigration MC in a new body.
So yeah keep this guy evil and destroy everything he holds dear ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
