Quite a good read xD although i had to stop a few times cause evan was giving me second habd embarassment lmaooo cant deny im more interested in the side couple though, like Andy was kinda a jerk at first but i like him a lot now cause of that one page “very curious personality” loll anyways looking forward to andy and martin’s relationship development (▰˘◡˘▰)

I havent read this cause i was browsing the comments lol just wanna ask if its worth reading? Cause i heard a lot of people say this one guy is toxic and all (?) and is the uke a simp for the toxic guy or ?

they're talking abt the second story, which is the one that just started a few chapters ago (before that was the main couple) , but the first/main couple is def not. the seme is the biggest soft boy that was the fattest simp for the uke (minor spoiler: hes been crushing in the uke for a v long time) he's respectful and the uke is a rly enjoyable character too. none of them were toxic, super consensual, and communicated v well. a really cute couple in general. the second couple is abt the semes brother and ukes friend and they are indeed toxic. if u want u could just read until the second season starts and stop there (like I'm doing lmao)
At first i was just attracted to matthew yknow cause he is so fine i cant explain it and jin’s kinda too pale lmao BUT OMG CHAPTER 16 holy shhhhhhh when jin laughed and smile MY JAW LITERALLY DROPS AND I COULDNT BREATHE FOR A FEW SECONDS damnnnnn you guys know that meme “i saw a man so beautiful i cried” yeah that’s literally me cause idk how but my tear just drops lmaoooooo alright thanks for reading to this fangirling of mine ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄
is this considered fetishizing?
You can think someone is hot without fetishizing them……
i think it goes beyond thinking someone is hot here
but idk hence me putting a question mark at the end of my sentence
Idk I think they’re just fan girling fetishizing is more reading it only for sex or shipping two men together when they’re not dating.
well i think that its also hypersexualizing or fawning over gay men, it just makes me feel uncomfortable (as a gay man) ya know so thats why i asked that
I don't think finding someone attractive is fetishizing
read my other responses i explained why i thought that way but im not certain if other queer people think so
I did, I personally think you're overthinking about it. This person may be pansexual and you thinking that they're fetishizing is being judgemental. Let's say they aren't pansexual, it's still okay because you litteraly can't control who you find attractive. As human beings we shouldn't overthink about whether finding 2D fictional characters is an incorrect thing or not based on our sexualities.
Well my gay cousin and his boyfriend doesn't think it's uncomfortable. Because they understand the difference between real life and fiction. I for one would never be interested in real gay men's relationships or their sex life.
Real people aren't this beautiful/sexy or interesting.
I totally agree with you, as long as we seperate reality from art everything should be good.
And the way you say real people aren't sexy lol
but still you have to understand who these stories are portraying its not like this is science fiction its portraying 'real' people. Even if the character is gay you shouldnt say ou its okay to fetishize if they arent a real person its still weird.
Her sexuality has nothing to do with this situation because shes a girl and you can fetishize gay people regardless of it. Yes you cant control who you love but you can still tell when that love or attraction is wrong. These 2D characters still portray 'real' people so we shouldnt disregard that possibility, so by saying its okay to sexualize gay men because its fiction, its still wrong to do so. Im not saying she did i just had an inclination that she might be but im still not certain.
Saying such manhwa's portray people is completely wrong, you're basically saying gay men have big dicks, are always attractive, rape, always enjoy sex, etc. That is why we shouldn't think such things when it comes to manhwa's its totally different, we need to seperate art from reality. Once again it is not fetishizing at all to find characters attractive regardless of their sexualities when it comes fictional characters. People are always commenting about how the characters are attractive, I'm just wondering if it bothered you because she revealed her gender.
I meant being gay isnt fictional+ when i said portray i didnt mean phisical atributes well they are human. Not always yeah you need to know the difference between reality and fiction but not always, sometimes the fiction is portraying reality and conveying a message and you should seperate them. No i wasnt bothered by her gender i was just bothered by the comments that i kept seeing about this so i chose this one to ask if this was fetishizing no need to get personal with me.
Yeah that too
shouldnt seperate them*
I'm not getting personal lol sorry if it seemed that way, but it is best not to use such manhwa's as portraying one's image. You can use shounen ai as an example it's more fluff, but not yaoi that's a whole different level which should not be used as an image for gay people. My point is, finding them attractive is not fetishizing, the definition fetishizing is far from what she commented.
Yes it shouldnt be used as an image of gay people but thats still no excuse to fetishize it. What i meant by portrayal was showcase.
Its just her wording is what gave me off and others commenting the same thing. Idk im probably overreacting but these comments just strike me the wrong way...
Maybe you're new? We always comment about the characters appearance, don't overthink about it too much :)
Personally I think people who talk about 'fetishizing' are minors who come from tik tok not that you might be but I just thought about it lol
no im just a gay man
What? I really don't understand she just find him attractive whats that go to do with fetishizing homosexual relationship?? Like this is just the same as finding any anime character attractive I dont get it she didn't even talk about anything about homosexuality she just find a mahnwa man attractive because his smile is beautiful how this is fetishizing gay men?
it was a question, read the whole respond page and you'll see what i meant and others!
I'm a writer. I write stories. My characters aren't portraying real people, they are a figment of my imagination. Unless the story is based on a "true story", the story and the characters are fictional. Matthew and Jin don't exist in the real world, they are fictional characters. They can't get hurt or offended. Readers are only hurt and insulted on their behalf.
And you really need to see the difference between fiction and real life. People get obsessed with characters all the time, not just yaoi-characters. Sure there are some deranged people who think they are married to some anime characters, but most people see the difference between real life and the made-up anime/manga-verse.
And if you see it logically. If you are, like me, a straight woman and is attractive to just men, of course, it makes sense that I want to read stories about two men rather than a man and a woman. Women don't interest me at all. And people have been reading erotic stories since ancient times. It's not as if it's something new. Kink shaming isn't okay.
First of fetishizing isnt a kink. Even if you are reading a fictional story its not right to say its okay to fetishize because the characters arent real. Thats not an excuse! I get that you are a straight woman and you are attracted to men but how is it logical to now prefer gay relationships to straight ones? + if you are reading a straight story its not like you are obligated to be interested in the woman. I never said its wrong to read yaoi as a straight woman im just saying its wrong to fetishize it regardless if its fictional or not because being gay isnt. I really dont understand your logic here.
I read all but I still don't understand your problem with her com, it's my answer at your question how it can be fetishizing? I understand that you may think yaoi it's fetishizing gay men but her com??? Really tell me how finding a character attractive its fetishizing? She doesn't said "it's so attractive seeing them together (or something weird like that)" she doesn't find attractive a gay men relationship but a character smiling I clearly don't understand your point there is nothing fetishizing
I never said yaoi is fetishizing gay men, i was just asking if that comment was because it made me feel like it i was probably overreacting as i've said. You dont need a gay relationship to fetishize you can also fetishize a gay person on their own! Hope this clears up the misunderstanding.
Uhh.. hi op here Σ( ̄□ ̄||) just realized this got so many tractions.. anyways i just want to clarify i have no intention of fetishizing anything or anyone, i just find them both attractive as an individual (like a normal person), its not because theyre gay that i like them or anything like that, sorry if my comment offends anyone, i didnt mean anything bad (also, my bad if i understood fetishizing wrongly because english is not my native language)
Well, let's agree to disagree. I don't understand your point of view, and you don't understand mine. I love a good story, I love reading about manly men (bara is the best) and I like smut where both partners are equal and not weak. Switchers are awesome. You usually don't see that in cis stories. Well, that's just my point of view of things. And I got an ok from my gay cousin to like yaoi. So it's all good to me.
its okay i wasnt accusing you of it dont worry!
true i didnt say its wrong to read yaoi if youre straight, just dont fetishize it because its fiction
+i mean this in the best way possible but your gay cousin isnt a representative of the whole queer community he doesnt speak on behalf of all the gays, so dont think if he thinks something is acceptable is true!
