I'm 99.9% sure your reading is correct! I've never heard a Japanese proper-name end with a "bee" sound, it's usually "bae." For example, the name "Watanabe" is definitely pronounced "wah-tah-nah-bae" :)

I kinda prefer the 2nd couple. Mostly because I love how angsty they started and the quiet drama. I just like it more than the fliffy first couple. I mean, I actually like fluffy stories a lot, it's just that angstiness makes this particular manga more interesting/less boring. It's just so tame and quiet overall that fluffiness doesn't help it at all.
My mom and her office don't hate the auditors, but they do fear them. Haha
