Ok him being desperate was hot and mean. The system curse is a huge pervert and definitely out to torture him. Like not being easily able to reach him, forcing restarts if there is failure, it’s just getting more and more intense.
There is literally no way to know what mission will pop up too. I love how this is smutty and hot but also the plot stays strong.

from what i heard he is the ml... he loved her in his past life too, but was like too proud to admit it i think, she wasn't liked that much then by everybody and the blondie manipulated the family, idk if she also used the dark magic thing like in the last chapter, when she ''heals'' someone or tries to manipulate them
He’s definitely unstable because he has been resonating with his past life memories, been accumulating corruption, and got smacked with demonic energy by Lorena. I don’t think he actually loved her in either life since Lorena’s influence prevented him from viewing/treating her in any positive way from the moment she arrived.
He feels a certain guilt, emptiness, and longing for her which he doesn’t understand in the context of his second life. It feels more like the guilt of crushing an innocent soul who only ever tried to live up to the Nacht name. He doesn’t understand where these emotions are coming from, but they make him sensitive to her passive forms of rejection towards him.
That immense feeling of unknown guilt and isolation made it easier for him to develop the seeds of corruption in his mind, and Lorena’s attempt at dark magic mind control tipped him over the edge

I’m still not sure why he returned. He has no clue either. He got a loving family but he wants to continue/improve his work. That’s his life goal and family hasn’t changed that much. I still so confused on why exactly he was given this second chance. It keeps me invested.
If I were to guess I'd say it was because he didn't have the luxury to enjoy his past life accomplishments (he died young in the beginning of the story)
