Its my assumption but i think grandpa distance himself from yeon, because he knew his son doesn't have much time and yeon's condition too where she is extremely weak and targeted..he knew he is trying to save his son but somehow there is no guarantee and it's same with yeon because if clan people who doesn't like both (father and grandfather) and after the seat could harm her and she can't protect herself. Even though in the past he kept distance and she's only child and suffer bullying regardless.. since around thoes times these supposed strong people with so many enemies are not allowed to express their feelings!! What a great, energetic yet tragic story. Loved the characters! Most of them were super dramatic which was fun. They nailed trauma though. There was some real pain, shock and healing. I loved it
