not that i don't like joseph to be the ml. but i prefer erez bec he has some character and funny personality. whereas joseph is your typical good boy for the lack of words to describe him. no offense but he's just bland for my liking and kind of boring?

I dont really like golden retriever type ML especially those that are like Joseph. I saw quite a lot of those Korean webtoon where the tyrant turned into golden retriever energy once the romance starts. Sick of those personality switch. I also seen quite a lot of golden retriever ML that is not from tyrant storyline. This is breath of fresh air. I prefer fox like ML that likes to tease MC.

Apparently I learnt that Korea girls like golden retriever guys so that explains why theres so many in manhwa but i just feel like the personality change from a tyrant character to a golden retriever character is like an entire different person although and beats the purpose to writing him to be a tyrant in the first place

To me its rarely written correctly without feeling out of place. Like the tyrant is suddenly replaced by a entirely different person. Like its done better in BL/chinese romance than KR straight romance manhwa.
Yes its nice to see the ML only doting on the FL but to see his core personality disappearing after the romance happens just feels out of place. And then suddenly the ML is some useless person that is at the FL's beck and call like a golden retriever.

Theres this KR manhwa i was reading where the guy was abit cold in the beginning but have been the one to help the FL whenever shes in trouble. Then all of a sudden when the romance kinda happens, the FL sees the guy like a dog and even ask for his hand/paw (legit a paw not a hand) and ive never seen this where a guy ask a girl's hand (paw) like a dog before if the role were reverse. Why did he become a dog all of a sudden! When previously he didnt have that kinda golden retriever energy! I dropped that story the moment that happened. It was so cringey and whatever personality he used to have is now a dog and turned into a simp
