the comments contrast so much between each chapter it’s actually disgusting. everyone’s fine if the rape scene is “hot” or the seme is looking particularly handsome, but when it starts getting real intense people start denouncing the seme.
EDIT: I ended my original post saying “Rape and forced sex is NOT hot”. In hindsight, I probably should have guessed a lot of people were going to interpret that as me being mad at the story (which I am not). I’m just deleting that part because I don’t want it to take away from my comments on the readers themselves. The ending statement was supposed to be towards the people who found it hot, not the story itself.

I don't like rape or anything in real life but in a story i'm fine with it because these characters are just fictional beings made up by the author for us to enjoy. We understand you don't like rape but it is just a part of a story. If you don't like it so much then you can stop reading. No one is forcing you to read this. I can recommend some yaoi's that are fluff or have consensual sex if you would like ?

I just wanna make it clear that I have no problem with a story just being a story, and that it’s more the people who kind of romanticize the relationship? I don’t think that there’s really a clear cut difference between how people act in a fantasy world and how people act in real life. Obviously everyone has their own secrets and their own lives, but it’s still all a part of each and every person. I guess I can’t disagree without seeming sensitive or whatever, but I wanted to point out how different people can be even if it’s still just the same situation. I, of course, can’t expect people to analyze a story and be all critical about what it says about mankind and society’s values because that’s just ridiculous, but maybe it does say something about our infatuation with people’s looks. Sorry if I came across all triggered, but I was just really annoyed at all the people talking about how hot Seungho was despite him literally forcing the dude to suck his dick.

Totally agree that no one should kink shame. However, in this manhwa the mc didn’t really consent.
But nonetheless, the author handles the heavy topic very well and I love the story. It’s more that there are pretty bad comments that normalize rape. Not in a kinky way(which is alright), but saying it’s romantic which is kinda fucked imo

It’s also one of the most common tropes in erotic fiction though. For some, their kink is reading rape fiction. It’s not even my thing really. I just think talking about this in the comments is kind of dull. I guess sometimes people can become desensitized through fictional depictions of rape, murder, etc., but I sincerely doubt that anyone here would advocate in real life for someone to end up with their rapist.

yo this is makes no sense. The plot is all weird, the author doesn’t even explain everything, the pacing is all over the place, and the characters aren’t acting in the key ways that they were introduced. For example, Danny was scared of homophobia, so he drifted apart from Lance. But now, he’s suddenly all good with Lance doing all these kinds of “romantic” things now. There wasn’t a point where he started to change his mind, no character development. This really reminds me of those typical shoujo Chinese comics where the heroine is a dumbass, and the love interest is an abusive fuck.

um.. the scene seems to be cutting off. but the plot is easy to understand. umm.. actually Danny isn't afraid that much about homophobic, he just cares about Lance's future (just like YuYang in Here U Are). So he left for Lance's sake. They both love each other but afraid to make a move as they thought it would be a disaster. So, they lie to each other (Danny lied about hating gays & Lance lied about having gf) as long as they can be together. But things went wrong after Danny left Lance.. Lance who had an unrequited love had enough with all craps and decided to "force" Danny to accept him by clinging at him. He overcomes Danny's worries. Danny who also fell in love with Lance finally feels assured as he confirmed that their feelings are mutual. He no longer getting mad at Lance and they become a couple (I feel many scenes had been cut off??). Sometimes, when Danny feels insecure like the current chapter, Lance would do something so Danny won't get any wrong idea. I think the plot is simple.
only 1 thing did bother me, "how Danny treats his trauma". sorry if my grammar is bad.

I think how I’m viewing it is that the events throughout the story don’t make sense since they don’t join. For example, the time and setting. The author establishes that they’re in high school, but they don’t continue to tell the audience what’s going on in the background. The main part where the setting changes would be when Danny moves out and finds a new place. One day most of the events takes place in school, and in the next, they’re in pubs. I was especially confused when Lance was a mess and was being cleaned up by his friend. I wasn’t sure if a lot of time passed between that episode and the last. I do disagree that Danny OVERCAME his fears though. I mean, he was scared, and then he wasn’t. I would think that the him growing and changing from from his past self into a person that wasn’t scared to love Lance would be a big part in the story. I’m not sure I even saw any of this. The characters also just irk me, Lance especially. I understand that this is the “real him” and all, but I don’t understand how a person can change so much? There weren’t any hints or transitions, it was just BOOM controlling and lewd. Danny’s childhood trauma is also something I feel is getting ignored? It played a big part in the beginning and middle when Danny left, but now, it’s more of just a standard love story. Can’t really say much about that though since I haven’t read any of the future chapters. But yeah, it these probablems may be because the chapters are getting cut off. Complete episodes would probably clear up some of my problems with the story, but this is how I feel so far with what’s uploaded. :)

Honestly, this story is fucking shit. I could only sit through 21 chapters of this trash, and I wish I never clicked on it. The main character is a fucking dumbass. That’s all there is to it. She can’t fucking stand up for herself and has absolutely no common sense. Her “love interest” is a dick who rapes her TWICE, calls her a slut, and then also calls her his property (and when he does this, she fucking blushes?!). No one acts like this in real life. All his interest and “standing up for her” is a way to try and manipulate her and the readers into believing that “Oh, he’s a good guy. I mean he raped her, but he also helped her out when she was in need.” Like stfu. I have never read something that has made me this worked up, and I hope that anyone who is some how attracted to the love interest wakes up, because it is not okay to be treated like this by a misogynistic dick who only wants to gets in a girl’s pants.

Lol, looking back I freaked out a ton, but I still stand by my points. I hate the female lead. I find that she has no shred of common sense. Some of the things that happened to her in the 20 chapters are in no way in her control, like how her ex was sleeping with her sister and how she was raped twice (yes, raped, not “nono”), but I’m not going to try and sympathize with someone who is so dense about the people around her that she has to have all that information spoon fed to her by either being beat up, or by being saved by her rapist. I cannot believe that a story like this is able to get 4 stars, because it paints the story that if you become dense, unable to fight for yourself, and become a scapegoat for people, that one day, your knight in shining armor will come and rescue you. I understand that there is a difference between fiction and real life, but I just can’t justify stories like this one. For example, if you play a game about guns and shooting poeple, it will not automatically mean that you’re gonna shoot up a building one day. I do like messed up stories with messed up characters, but in those stories, they don’t try to normalize it and paint it as a place that reader should want to be in. Those authors doesn’t try to realistically romanticize it, but this story does the exact opposite with its storyline and its characters. Rape is one thing that should never be thought of as hot or sexy. The story is unrealistic in many ways, but it still manages to squeeze out that a good girl will always be sly but not rebellious, alluring but not slutty, kind but not unfaithful, and strong but not untamable. I also think that physical attractiveness also plays a part in this. Imagine if the love interest in this story was instead an old, fat, sweaty, balding man. It totally changes the way you look at the story when it really shouldn’t. Both manipulated her. Both raped her. Sorry for the whole rant. I just have a lot to say lol.
I don’t really know how to feel about this? Imo, the story wasn’t developed enough to the point that the mc could accept the alpha. Like, he raped the dude, whether or not he was in heat or not. It was non consentual, and the argument of it being purely biological and the other omega’s fault takes alot of blame off the alpha. Also, I felt like the 2nd lead didn’t even do anything wrong?? I mean, at least give him a chance first
I agree. 2nd guy should've got some limelight , why does he have to end up with the jerk omega?
