Like, I feel like Shuu lost in the end? I feel like nothing went his way, and he gained nothing of value. He got scammed out of money too.
And, usually these types of stories at least try to redeem the bully but this one has none of that. The bully was legit, a bully who wanted to break peoples spirits. He succeeded and basically gave someone a complex so deeply ingrained in them that they have to be with him just to feel like they are losing in LIFE.
Doyun did wrong by his guy. His made him feel unloved and insecure. He never took his feelings into account. That's horrible. In that same breath though, homeboy doesn't get to sit up here and gaslight his boyfriend so that he feels better about himself. And, tbh, that still makes him the worse of the two. Doyun really thought that he was being cheated on and he really was hurt by it. Doyun stayed while he thought he was being cheated on because he really does want to be with Wonhae. That's got to put you in a bad headspace.
The whole thing is made worse by the fact that for something like this, where he knew exactly what the problem was, Wonhae could have just given an ultimatum. He absolutely had the ability to just go up to him and say "Look, I understand that you aren't out. I understand that you need to go to job functions. Still, sometimes I need to be your top priority. If I can't then let's end this." Like, I just feel like if Wonhae had put the same effort into speaking about his feelings openly as did to gaslight Doyun into giving him passionate responses then they could have worked it out.
Like, he was evil. It's not like he just tricked his stupid friend into having sex with him(Which would still be bad). This dude took up dark magic to hurt him for YEARS! And in the end its just, "Well, I redirected the bad luck to me now. Sorry."
Like honestly, that plotline was a lot. Tori and Ryouma are cute though. I would love some more. Just to see Tori growing and living his best life now.
Is the relationship toxic? Absolutely. That said, that they acknowledge that the relationship is toxic is a game changer. Their type of toxic relationship is also more realistic.
Like, idk. Usually you get these big, dom type seme's that just wreck their partner physically, emotionally, and spiritually from day 1. And like, the side character's know what's happening but do nothing. Then someone how, they are a madly in love couple. Here, it grew into a toxic relationship because Cole was already in a bad place and had been since middle school. So he got together with Alex, who is a hit and commit type but also Cole's opposite, and it makes perfect sense that he's had trouble working through his issues.
The only thing that they really have to do is expand on Alex's issues. There must be something wrong with him. To be honest, I feel like he's probably loves a lover who really WANTS him. You know what I mean? Like, I can see him staying with Cole because he likes being the center of Cole's attention. Cole doesn't have many friends and when they are together, he is stuck to Alex's side. Comparatively, if he were to date another A-list type like himself then he couldn't have that.
yeas that the thing that I like about this, yeas it isn't the most healthy relationship in the world. but then again Cole isn't the most healthy or stable person either and he was in love with Alex from the start.
it's like every crazy move Cole did, Alex can do it too, like the gun thing. it was awesome cause it really shows they are not just forced into anything they don't want. they both want this in this way and they okay with the flaws of the other.
He really has no defenses. He really just be letting these dudes walk over him and don't say NOTHING?
On the one hand, I kind of don't want to be mad because the author really did kind of skate over what Hamura did to Jin. So I imagine this where we see how strong their love REALLY is. Like, if i was Jin then I don't think that I could be with Hamura based off of the past. But Jin was like "I care more about your future!" and "I want to see you run".
Now he's getting tongued down by this other dude and I'm thinking, "Is it possible that Jin has no sense of self worth?". "Is their relationship just the result of Jin having been kind of traumatized?"
The eye work in this is phenomenal. The facial expressions too. This is just so beautifully drawn.

We only know that he likes Ako and that his parents are divorced. That's it. Is he funny? Is he passionate about his job? Does he have hobbies? I don't know. They didn't include any of it.
Shima? He's friendly and he's attentive. He's caring to a fault. He's an athlete. Works out in his free time. He is also self aware. Do we know everything about Shima? No but we know enough to like him and it's more than we know about Hiro.
I actually really want Zac and Carter together? I've always been a really big sucker for stories where a cute, heart on their sleeve type like Zac goes after the hot and cold type like Carter.
Especially in cases like this where the hot and cold one is really trying to sort things out. Carter also isn't an outright jerk, which usually happens with these types. And on top of that, he cut off his other love interests with the quickness.
She basically just admitted that Sperado are murders. And, at the end of the day, this is all about a power struggle. They are risking a lot for power that they can't guarantee they will obtain.
They should have just left well enough alone. Take your lumps and move on.
