Uke is sending a lot of mixed signals. They met because of instincts, They kept thinking of each other, Seme turns down the pairing solution because pregnancy is a problem, Uke wants to be intimate with him still, When Seme's instincts go over due to the extra pheromones the Uke lambasts him about real love??
I don't understand.. they were both moving by instinct and desire and yet uke acts like he is being wronged? He was the one who even suggested pairing up. He was happy to find somebody in a similar position and yet you turn him away for being like you?!
Then we get this ending where Seme lost his fertility because uke couldn't make up his mind. Where is the justice?
There wasn't even anything uke tried to prove anything on his end yet he demands Seme proof? In the end it's just about them having sex though? Like there was literally NO buildup on the relationship whatsoever.

Well there are a lot of stories done similar, with the uke questioning if the love is real or is it just the pheromone stuff etc but with those normally the seme are a bit more aggressive (usually attached to forced/rape scenes) so we'd normally root for uke hahah.
Meanwhile here we see how the seme actively tries to be human than "alpha"
Maybe if this was longer and had shown actual relationship progression than just
chapter 1 meeting
chapter 2 failed sex
chapter 3 prelude to another sex
chapter 4 uke questions if it is true love
chapter 5 seme's act of love forces the situation
chapter 6 ....happy ending?
I mean there are WAY worse plots out there I guess I was just expecting something else when I read the comments before reading the manga X)

Yea I completely agree! Honestly I’m definitely not more inclined to root for the seme in those stories at all, I would obviously support the uke in those situations, it’s just I also read a lot of mangas where the seme is perfectly nice and supportive but the uke just randomly hates them for no reason or they are just waaayyy too naive and the seme also likes them for literally no reason other than they’re cute and then there’s a whole conflict about a second love interest - literally every single time (who’s always really pushy, cause they have to be) causing a rivalry all because the uke can’t seem to push them away when they’re backed up into a wall cause they’re sooo nice and just ‘had no idea they felt that way’ when it’s so obvious to everyone else. I also feel like (similarly to in this story - just my personal opinion) that there’s way more given by the seme and not the uke in some mangas - meaning they’re always the ones that have to prove their love and go running to the uke even when they haven’t done anything wrong, but the same is never expected of the other guy, cause they’re cute and all they have to do is smile for the seme to be happy. The same goes for EVERY SINGLE KDRAMA (don’t know if you’ve watched those tho)
So sorry, I’ve completely gone on a rant here! I realise obviously a lot of it is just plot devices and practically inescapable for the story to even exist in the first place and doesn’t apply to every manga, I just get annoyed sometimes - too much, I know ( ̄∇ ̄")

HAHA true true even with Kdramas. I think it's because it's mostly the dominant (usually the seme or the male lead) that is the expected provider so their characters have to give more compared to the submissive roles. A balanced starting partnership is not that common in omegaverse though in Kdrama we are getting some more stronger female types at least like in Mystic Pop-Up Bar or Hotel De Luna.
I've read so many that at some point I've learned to accept the imbalanced trope as long as there's a decent amount of compensation aka romance that follows. Like in Love is an Illusion for me is good... seme/uke have their usual tropes but like there's a lot of romance moments that it's easier to swallow so it's overall a nice read.
Lol no worries just rant away X)

Thanks
Yeah it hasn’t really stopped me from reading them quite a bit, I do usually stray away from the longer mangas because that’s how I know there’s going to be a suuper annoying second male lead and it’s gonna be super drawn out but I’ve also read/am in the midst of reading some really good long ones (although I wasn’t aware they were gonna be that long when I started years ago). I also end up being fine with it in the end, despite all my complaining throughout
And I absolutely love those kdramas! Especially hotel del Luna, I really wanted a second season with the new owner but I don’t think it’s going to happen now unfortunately. Only thing is, even then I can’t take the kdramas that follow those specific tropes to a T seriously anymore, which is actually a shame because I am a fan of those fluffy moments with the couples (in mangas as well) - except when it’s with someone outside of their original couple - literally, when the two main people are introduced at the beginning of any story and it’s obvious it’s going to be their love story and they’re gonna end up together, that is it - my mind has been made and nothing can change it or make me stray to shipping anyone with anyone else, I’m too easy (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜 they can be the most underdeveloped characters ever, as long as it’s somehow come across they have feelings for each other, I believe it, no questions asked
It’s actually a curse because sometimes the second male lead is actually the really nice one, but I’m too stubborn to give them a chance #-.-)
Sorry you might regret letting me rant now, don’t worry that’s everything I’m pretty sure, no more super long replies

Lol I love it long! (▰˘◡˘▰) Especially if not's really filled with like misunderstanding tropes I like it longer for more fluffs. Short one especially the really good ones leave wanting more huhuhu.
YEEEE Hotel del Luna rocks! Yeah I wished it had a S2 so gooood. I haven't been watching kdrama lately so I don't know much about the trend right now.
With regards to 2nd male leads though... weirdly enough I've only felt the 2nd lead syndrome with shoujo idk why, when it comes to BL I'm also same as you like once the pair is shown my brain just locks em up hahahaha no matter if toxic X( I don't recall ever rooting for 2nd lead in a BL... HMMMM have I? HMMMM
Yeah and I like my Seme dominant with a heart so yeah most of the 2nd leads are the mellow good guys hahahah. I'm too corrupted. My love for tsunderes/bad boys gaaah. It just melts me when they show love because of the contrast (≧∀≦)
LOL no worries! I like reading people's thoughts hahaha fire away don't mind me

Surprisingly I think the only times I’ve felt second lead syndrome was in kdramas when I just felt really bad for the guy cause he’s trying so hard but I just know it’s not gonna work out (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜 my first ever real second lead syndrome was with Who Are You school 2015 - which I didn’t actually see the whole of because I wanted to make sure she ended up with the orange hair guy before I became too invested and was disappointed to say the least (/TДT)/ he’s just so perfect I don’t get what happened?!? It was a similar story with switched
I’m pretty much the same when it comes to tsunderes - I love it in mangas and dramas, cause you just know they actually love them the most and will never leave them - which must speak more to some weird abandonment/attachment issues I must have but didn’t realise before crazily enough - but I just know if I ever encountered someone like that in real life I would immediately think they hate me and be too scared to speak to them again ╥﹏╥ cause I’m too shy and awkward.
That’s also the beauty of these characters tho because they all think the lead is the best thing ever to happen to them (I mean they’re not really wrong they do all seem happier at the end ) and just follow them around everywhere, I wouldn’t have to do anything
but I think what I go through during that time of reading/watching a tsundere/bad boy is like the seme acts horrible at the beginning so I end up not liking them and liking the other nicer guy more (but honestly that’s only if they act reaally bad it takes quite a lot for me to actually not like the main guy I think - especially because sometimes the girl doesn’t like him because he’s quiet and it seems rude but I do the exact same thing so I sympathise too much, plus I know they’re gonna be amaazing later) , but then just as the uke/main girl starts to talk more to the other guy, suddenly it goes through the main guys super sad backstory about why they act this way and now they’re really attached to the girl but they’ve moved on and now all of a sudden I’m super attached to them and feel so bad when they’re sad and get jealous cause I’m thinking it’s not their fault but by then the girls started not liking the main guy and so I don’t like her as much but I have to remember they don’t know what happened before so my emotions become a train wreck basically lol ( ̄∇ ̄")

It's really so hard to invest in 2nd leads especially in KDrama roms because you already know who the mains are haha so like if they are essentially good I do feel bad but I don't really "root" for them to win hahahh
Do you know Parfait Tic? That's one of my first ever 2nd lead syndrome. That shit really put the nail because like.... to me they feel equal! Not just something like Hana Yori Dango for example like Bad lead vs Nice 2nd lead... Parfait Tic boys were both good boys ;_; I couldn't choose huhuhhu
LMAO I think I'm the same - weird attachment issues! Since we know all their emotions it's so easy to get attached and also wish you can have the same relationship because to be doted on is such a lovely feeling hahaha but yeah in reality these guys won't work at all. I'd probably more anxious if they don't tell me what they really mean. yikes.
Let's just forever still to fiction with happy endings HAHA let all them do their own thing and we just feel from the outside X)
I'm pretty open to horribleness like in yaoi ehem rape scenes ehem, I don't mind those like I read them and then move on and it doesn't hurt much of the enjoyment for me BUT there needs to be a good amount of lovey-dovey in return. I can't just take all horrid with no fluff!! I NEED MY SUGAR.
HAHA my mind is pretty tight with words so I can't really express myself that well so it's actually fun reading you write such long paragraphs hahha

Spoiler stuff.
The girl is a bit ditzy but not like a stupid type she's just from a sheltered environment so her look at the world is from a privileged stance. I like how she's really straight forward and knows her worth. She's quite strong. The guy a bit reserved and a bit more finicky at first. I think they do perfectly match as they balance each other out. The main conflict made sense and though realistically big gaps in finances with one's partner can be a turn off for some...insecurities and all.. if they openly communicate and understand I think it all works out... which they did do eventually.
The sex scenes are also pretty loving like not smutty porn style...

SPOILER
The revived residence became immortal??
Also rereading from another perspective hurts still!

Well since they had explained it already, I'll just stitch what I think is in my memory.
I don't know about absolute immortality, but yeah, they can't really die through physical attacks and if they were to die, Rimuru can just cast another revival spell and they'll come back to live because of some dimension pocket that acts like the cloud.
How is they so pure like??? I--- my soul
╥﹏╥
