Romance is subtle but it's there and the plot is nice. It could've gone longer with a bit more drama but it's still nice. Ending is not too strong but at least not a cliff hang.
There is rough sex in the beginning. IMO it's not rape. The period setting helps so looking at it with a modern outlook might turn you off. Edna expected the sex when she arrived. Forced marriage is a thing in the setting. Sex was just a duty. Passion is a bonus.
But anyway can I just gush on how beautiful the art is!!! Edna just staring down at garbage people is just mhm.
I was in it for the smut then it became darker and darker. I was annoyed at the lead uke since it reminded me so much of traits I hate but at the ending scene it just touched my heart at how supportive they are of each other's faults.. and I want that too... huhu
I was looking forward to this based on all the good comments sadly I'm part of the negative minority. The female lead just irritates me. I didn't feel how they got to liking as well it feels rushed somehow. Oh well on to the next!
