I wasn't into this much but the art was so gorgeous I just kept on reading. It's a more "real" approach to the usual shoujo. It focuses more on growth than the normal romance fluff.
NGL, when ML drew FL... I teared up. I felt it...felt proud somehow and also envious. I wished I was like them full of motivation and determination and finally getting that satisfaction. UGGH my heart.

I thought this would be like a time travel things in primitive era but no it's much better. I love the characters. Strong lead female and the chapters are also fun. Would've loved more extra moe moments from the couple especially the modern times but overall I love this. I wouldn't even mind if she travelled a couple more eras lol. Hidden gem indeed~!
I guessed the wrong one ;_;

I watched this as an anime first and fell in love with Zen and Shirayuki. It's such an overall positive, independent and mature romance. Right now we're at arcs where the group's separated. It is quite refreshing. Don't get me wrong I would love to see more of the lead be together but doing it this way also shows such a thought for plot. Shirayuki isn't the typical lead who is dependent on her partner. Shirayuki will grow and be someone worthy and accepted not just through some fast cliche plotline. She will make a stand on her own. And even though we know Shirayuki is the main hero here the author also gives thought to the other characters. They have been given more depth and it honestly just makes me look forward for more. I can't wait to see the other arcs.

Romance is subtle but it's there and the plot is nice. It could've gone longer with a bit more drama but it's still nice. Ending is not too strong but at least not a cliff hang.
There is rough sex in the beginning. IMO it's not rape. The period setting helps so looking at it with a modern outlook might turn you off. Edna expected the sex when she arrived. Forced marriage is a thing in the setting. Sex was just a duty. Passion is a bonus.
But anyway can I just gush on how beautiful the art is!!! Edna just staring down at garbage people is just mhm.
According to a comment it's up to 21 chapters-- ongoing in coolmic
