Soo I saw a post about eiser and diah, and people were shipping them, and putting all the blame on the dad alone.
Initially I’d agree since of course part of the reason he’s like this is cause of the dad. HOWEVER, eiser and the brother (ngl I forgot his name) were both raised by the dad and taught about his terrible ways. They BOTH also had good influences in their life like eiser and the lawyer(?) (I forgot, but it’s the dude that was killed), and diah for the brother. Yet you can see how different they ended up. They chose how to act and what path to go down at the end of the day. Eiser sided with his mother and saw his father for the monster he was. And the brother sided with his dad with his admiration for him, abandoning his mother. Then of course, the brother had plenty of chances to change. And he just made worse choices and dug himself a deeper hole.
So it just solidifies that people can have similar ways they’re raised but choose for themselves how they want to be.

So I said it before, but as shown, this is a story that two authors worked on hand in hand, with the same characters. So it’s basically an AU. In the other story (kwak hajun observation diary), the mc was playing a zombie game in the first chapter, that had the character look exactly like the ML (I think it was like a romance game set in a zombie apocalypse). They ended up together in kwak hajun observation diary, and so it looks like here, the mc awoke from a dream where he thought they were the characters in that zombie universe.

I can see WHY people don’t like the ML. However the reasons of it being “he sleeps around” or “he uses women for sex” is the most ridiculous reason I’ve ever heard. Y’all are reading a SMUT manhwa first and foremost, sleeping around should be expected. It’s extremely rare for a smut manhwa to have the ML be a virgin. Yall should have expected it because this is a smut, not a regular romance fluff story.
And the second reason being “he uses women for sex.” Are yall actually reading or only seeing what you want to see? Why are you all talking like he’s a scumbag who breaks women’s hearts or plays with their feelings one-sidedly. From what has been shown so far, the sex friends are MUTUAL. Those specific girls CHOSE to have sex with him too, and were also having fun with the sex. The pink bob chick literally went to him to have sex even as she has someone (if I remember correctly?). The tutor who was a grown adult woman seducing a teenager before he even made a move, was in it to bang him too. And that girl sitting on his lap in the classroom was likely having fun on it too. Y’all can hate a guy for being a fckboy, but saying he uses women like it’s one-sided, is when you got the facts wrong.

Those two reasons have gotta be the dumbest things I’ve heard. The more valid reasons for why people don’t like him, would be how he treated FL and acted cold, or in general being caught with girls face to face. Now THAT I could understand, because realistically I would be turned off if my crush- or someone I developed feeling for later, was someone who I walked in on, getting it on (or implying) with other girls on 3 separate occasions.

I actually don't mind if he's been that way but it gives me mixed emotions with what he said to the MC when he assured her he's not the type who fools around with girls for sex? So it sounds like he lied if I consider what you say. Like, if he actually had a history with that pink bob chick, I would appreciate it more if he also put transparency/admitted to the MC of what his old relationship was with the chick instead of acting like it was one-sided to him.

I agree! Don’t get me wrong, he’s not the greenest flag and I’m also iffy about him due to his explanations and reasoning. I don’t like how he treated the mc and I don’t think his reasoning was justified that he acted coldly towards her back in highschool- and then showing up in her life again like nothing happened. I just think the reasoning of ppl saying that he’s terrible cause of him sleeping around or “one-sidedly using women” was the least of our worries.

I can see how the FL is unlikable lmao. Let’s face it, if the roles were reversed, the readers would hate the ML if he acted the way FL does. They’d say “sure, he has trauma but that doesn’t give him the right to act so rude all the time! FL should just find a better man!” The best reasoning most defenders of this FL, is to continuously tie her every word and action to trauma. It’s an excuse they give for any possible negative behavior she has.
She acts cold and like the ML is a bother when SHE’S the one who needs him for her revenge. She’s the one that approached him first, kissed him without consent on the first meeting, and set him up to be photographed and put in an article more than once. She made the offer first to get married for benefit, but she acts bothered when the ML puts in the effort. She acts like every cold ML in marriage contract stories. I just hate it when characters who truly are rude for no good reason towards ppl who did nothing to harm them.
Edit: Gotta say that I could only continue reading this because of the revenge plot and the ML. The FL is actually insufferable. She’s always finding problems with the ML even when he’s shown her nothing but care the entire time. She’s a hypocrite and victimizes herself. She even had the audacity to say the ML “killed her” when she was the dumbass who ran into the road in the first place. She has so many stupid moments that it makes me think the ML’s sister would be a better and more entertaining protagonist than her.

Brooo I hate this development. The fact that they had long-time villains in the story killed off by a newly transformed op villain character irritates me sooo bad. The writing would be better if this was something that was shown early in the story and built up on step by step, then revealed. But the fact that the ex was suddenly one of the most op antagonists as soon as she was turned after 100+ chapters in, is ridiculous. The other powerful villains that couldn’t even be defeated by the main group, was easily killed off by her alone. It just seems like poor writing. It’s the same case with the previous number 1 student being introduced and killed off in one chapter.
Just the fact that the crew of villains were thrown away, makes it feel like any development of the supporting hero characters won’t get that time to shine by defeating them one on one. I honestly think they should’ve kept the purple haired girl in the story as the main supporting villain instead of the ex. It would make way more sense that way. To me they basically threw away any development to substitute the main villain girl with someone who had a connection to the mc. I genuinely think the author put more effort into buffing the villains than actually progressing the powers of the hero group.

and like the teacher said (villain one) breeder is literally using his friend against him, knowing it’s a weakness of his. the plot isn’t poorly developed. it has much thought behind it. ml cares DEEPLY for her and wants to help her, because he’s the reason she’s like that in the first place, as he said so himself. the breeder is literally just killing two birds with one stone by using his friend (long term crush, at that) against him. the breeder knows that ml has a weakness, and in the previous chapters ml LITERALLY couldn’t even come to the conclusion of killing her because he cares too much about her. I’m sorry but the plot isn’t poorly written at all.

Whelp it’s a matter of opinion. This author doesn’t have the best track record with plots, as I have read their other story before this as well. They did the exact same thing of having random op side characters that were thrown in and not developed well over time at all. So, I will deem it poor writing.
You didn’t really say anything about all the other points like the entire crew of villains being killed off by a newbie, and the fact that she got turned 100+ chapters into the story. MY POINT is that the writing did not build her up to be a villain OVER TIME, and just threw her in to be the most op really late into the story. I never said her being involved as a villain was poor writing, I said how it was DEVELOPED was bad. If the author made hints or even involved her in the story way earlier, it would’ve been more believe as to how she’s way more powerful and intimidating.
You should have never explained the reasoning behind her addition to the story, because that was never my point. I clearly explained everything in my first comment. It shows that you didn’t really read what I said, and didn’t even get what I was saying. Poor writing = how a writer develops the story and connects everything.

The author for Lilith's cord and jungle juice aren't the same people, i think. for jungle juice, im pretty sure the artist are actually two different people and then the author is also another person. I think it was mentioned somewhere before when they took the longest break in history (over exaggeration)

It’s nice to see that the cold ML turns into a big crybaby after the development. He cries so much now lmao. Which I think is a nice way to show that he’s become more vulnerable and shows those side to the mc now.
I get ppl still being mad and some are confused as to why he suddenly switched up. But I think the turning point was where the mc granted the wish thing(?) I guess to him, it was like the way it ultimately proved MC’s love for him, and that’s why the ML trusted in him and changed.
This story is definitely for ppl who have a tolerance for red/black flag stories. It’s optional, that I think if they want to skip over the worst part but still know what went on, start on season 2. This is one of the few where it does feel like there was development and it felt like the ML went on to continue proving that later on. It’s also satisfying in a way, cause MC could visibly see him suffering with his own eyes and get his own satisfaction and not just meet the changed ML later without knowing how he suffered like most other stories.

I’m rereading and I do think it’s funny how the manhwa made it more PG. In the novel when her brother shoved her into the mirror, it was said she was covered in blood and couldn’t even walk and had to be carried by the brunette knight. In the manhwa they gave her a single streak of blood going down her face. Even looking at izek side by side in the same scene, he’s more bloodied than her. Which makes me think that the artist may have wanted to keep her “pretty state” even when she’s injured lmao.
It reminds me of those Chinese dramas where they make the female leads never look bad, have a full face of makeup, hair done, while just having a single streak of blood going down their mouth to show she’s critically injured while staying beautiful
(⌒▽⌒)

Yeah but then you see the next chapter with the ML getting even more bloodied and beaten in the fight with the dragon LOL. So I guess they put the gruesome scenes whenever they want.
Rather than it needing to be PG (which is inconsistent on their part because the ML is getting all bloody anyways), it looks like they wanted to make this more of a “strong” moment where the FL isn’t as injured at all and can even run to her man too. The griffin and the round monster was also supposed to be in the scene to help the FL too
I just checked the official raws site and realized that it’s been uploading chapters since July lol. It’s up to chapter 78
