So it does look like they’re following the novel spoilers. It does not look like the 2nd life will be any better. I’d say the ML gets worse, but the circumstances involving the long haired dude is better. Long haired dude is no longer the threat but the ML makes even worse decisions and puts mc in another world of pain.

Something like help the mc get away from the white haired dude by being the one to imprint him, and promising to reunite a bit later. But turns out he doesn’t come back until YEARS later ON PURPOSE. Meanwhile due to the imprint, Mc spent years suffering from him not coming back. ML for whatever reason misunderstood?? And I guess thought Mc was with someone else so he just chose not to go to Mc. I forgot the rest, but there’s probably more

Comment sections like this are always so disappointing to see imo. You get a drama story and when drama is shown, readers are baffled. It really just proves my belief that specific shoujo readers cannot stomach flawed male love interests. I mean see how they’re so quick to disregard any internal struggles the male lead has? And yet their priority is love and wanting the FL to be in a relationship lmfao. They’re really like, “srsly? Mommy issues? Who cares, anyways can we get to the FL dating who I want already?!” Where is the ao haru ride fans that actually can handle flawed male leads? It’s more sad to see how rare it is when audiences know the content they’re reading and try to understand the characters.
These are the kind of readers who only like perfect men who’s entire being must be focused on the FL and worship the ground she walks on, never to make her (or the reader) sad/upset. It’s these readers that are the reason why majority of the romance genre is flooded with one-dimensional Male Leads who have no flaws at all, and are bland. Why do you think writers see this and the top types of male leads in the genre are:
-quiet and cold guy that only has eyes/is nice to the fl
-puppy type
-gentleman type
And these male leads all have their world revolving around the FL. It makes these huge fan bases soo happy to see the FL be the center of the ML’s entire life. The ML’s thoughts are actually being shown, his inner conflict and contradictory thoughts/actions, which are so realistic. When the author actually writes about a flawed ML and his struggles, no one cares. To these shoujo readers, they only allow female mc’s to be flawed and have struggles and will only show understanding in that case. I never understand readers like this who know they can’t handle flawed love interests yet still choose to read the story and just yap about how much they hate the other main character while dreaming about the man they want and how they think they know better than the FL. Like bffr, if you were in her shoes, you’d crash out and have your dream shattered the one moment the 2nd lead does something you don’t like.

I agree with the tropes things and that there are a lot of bland MLs in shojo but disagree on the rest. I think ML being a douche to FL to create drama is also a trope (Bad Boy) which I'm not a fan of honestly since it feels unnecessary and lacking in creativity.
You can have a flawed character with depth and not make him an asshole. Brahm from A spell for the Smith is a great example, Theredeo from MILOWM was an asshole at first but we can understand his reasoning and even though he fits the silent steretype, he is shown a lot of growth and depth as a character. I'm not averse to conflict between the leads but I think the intentions of the character's make it or break it for me. Trauma is a valid reason for this (like in Therdeos case)but my problem with Sanari is that he is self aware, he knows he is hurting her, that what he is doing is wrong, etc. and he still chooses to hurt her because HE wants her more than it hurts him to see her suffer. It's all about what she can do for him not what he can do for her. She was upfront about her feelings, he rejected her but kept on giving her mixed signals. He only wants her when he feels he'll lose her. It's all about him, not about what she wants or feels or needs. When she was trying to get closure and forget him he crashes on their vacations still not ready to commit. Therdeo (Spoiler ahead) on the other hand, is ready to let Pereshati go if that's what she wants and needs.

The problem is that you only see him as an asshole. He’s not just plainly a douche bad boy. At the very beginning of the story, he told her his lines and his boundaries, she chased after him despite that. Sure he is an ass for giving mixed signals. He also is feeling conflicted with both his belief and his feelings. His mind is thinking one way and his heart is thinking another. Of course I think the best course of action is for him to work on himself to change his mindset and ease up into the idea of being in a serious relationship.
I don’t think anyone needs to like him or want him to be with the FL. My issue is when ppl can’t even read about his character and understand what’s going on with him, without disregarding him like he’s not also a main character being shown his side of the story. Like if you look at the FL, FL is also giving mixed signals to the 2nd lead. Almost doing the same thing as the ML. She’s also conflicted with her own feelings of loving the ML but also being swayed by the 2nd lead. I feel like a lot of these readers can only handle reading about one main character, a woman, and any other character’s issues are irrelevant to them. All they can think about is getting to the romance bit. Anyways at the end of the day, the reader chooses the story they read. Everyone knows what they signed up for with this ML, yet can’t handle the context.

I was surprised by how soft and woke this story is. It really surprised me that they actually took topics seriously and mentioned it when most mangas brush off those things. It’s also a shock that the FL is the one to have so much common sense lol.
Things like:
-FL telling off her editor that it would be sexual harassment if she hit on her housekeeper.
-FL telling off her editor that writing about her housekeeper and modeling him as a sex worker is bad (also included switching the genders)
-FL telling ML that it’d be inappropriate to sleep together due to her being his employer, that she holds authority over him
-FL pointing out that ML’s past as a minor being with adult women, was bad cause he could’ve gotten hurt and those women would be arrested.
-FL saying how writing about ML could make him feel terrible about it later on when he sees it as a reader or hears about other talking about it.
Although it is a pretty big age gap, at least FL is at least aware and communicates these serious things with ML.

I can’t say I feel that bad about Ari. She’s 27 years old and has been shown several hints of how uninterested he is. She’s broke down twice (the first time she saw he was living with FL, and the second when he walked out on her recently). I genuinely don’t think she’s this naive, I think she also is just in denial and wants to believe he’s interested in her like she is to him. She’s also been pushing for a baby since they first started hooking up. I wouldn’t be that surprised if she tried to poke holes in the condoms lmao. It is pretty wild how she’s also irresponsible at her age. (When she told mincheol if they should just crash her car so she can ask her dad for a new one. Aka she knows her dad adores her and takes advantage of that)

So I saw the spoiler saying that the mc woke up from a dream. But they’re confused as to which story is the real world.
I think since the other story directly mentions the mc playing a zombie video game with a character that looks like the ml, that Kwak ha-jun observation diary is the real world/original. It sounds to me that since mc got to know kwak hajun, he dreamed of them being part of the game world and made up his own scenario. It even adds info like the ml not getting along with his dad irl, in this story. Like his crush and him being in an apocalyptic world together, solely depending on each other (in their own little world).
Which is funny cause I feel like lots of ppl have had dreams where they were in a game they saw/played and with ppl you know irl too. I’ve even had friends tell me they dreamed that our friend group was in some nightmare settings along with the roles we had lmao.

Dang so many complaints saying the exact same things lmfao. Anyways I love the story. The novel is fun too. I am really glad these comments aren’t on the official site- cause these comments filling the entire section with complaints are the types that get stories cancelled due to their own ideal standards. It’s like little mushroom artist saying they won’t continue cause the readers kept complaining that they didn’t like the art.
╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Sure I get ppl can dislike the art, but usually when I don’t like the art that much, I just drop the story or skip it. It’s not like making these critiques on this illegal site will reach the artist or help them. I think people confuse constructive criticism with just plain complaints. Constructive criticism points out the parts that are lacking but also provides GOOD advice (by people who have knowledge of the subject) to improve, like suggesting books or videos the author/artist can learn from. Let’s be real, actual good artists would never trash another artists work. And most of these comments would never seek out the artist directly, to tell them that. The comments are just copy paste whining “the art is trash! The artist is shitty!!” Those specific ppl are like bots.

If you wanna claim yourself as doing a good deed and just giving constructive criticism, you gotta include knowledge of how to improve as well, not just comments of how bad you think the art is. (Not that the artist would see this). Anyways artists all start from somewhere. Not every artist is the highest professional. So many mainstream artists like Pearl boy, k’s secret, etc. started out with lacking art but improved DURING the story. That’s the one thing I hate about specific readers expecting every manhwa artist to be perfect. Y’all’s mindsets are skewed.

Unfortunately this isn’t one of those revenge stories and this will most likely have the FL end up with that scum. I’ve read so many manhua plots like this and have never seen an ending that isn’t the case. The only way is if it’s revenge manhua and the caption describes a new guy.
This guy is pathetic and deserves to be in the line up of the depths of hell.
٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
What’s even more sad, is that this isn’t even the worst ML from a manhua I’ve seen. There’s this one manhua where the ML approaches FL to use her for his first love’s sake. He seduces her, makes her think he’s in love, impregnates her, steals the child from her womb, uses part of the child’s bone to save his first love, tells the FL her child died at birth, raises (more like he neglects) the son making the son think his mother is his first love. All the while the stepmom/first love abuses the kid. And he also had the audacity to act smug when he sees the FL years later, looking down on her and acting like he did nothing- yet again trying to hook up with her as a side chick with no remorse. And add onto the fact that the FL is a dumbass who chooses him AGAIN. She chooses him over the 2nd ML (which is also a bad guy, but he’s the lesser evil), with the reason that 2nd ML is a liar and also that she loves the ML.

Do you happen to know the title of this one, similar to the FL and ML you mentioned but this one I’m looking for the ML’s mother does something to make the ML believe the FL hurt his mother and he hurts the FL. She doesn’t forgive him after he realizes he made a mistake but I think she doesn’t forgive forgive him later.
I saw even majority Korean comments are talking about missing heowoon (the white hair guy). Along with that one person saying they prefer the prosecutor lmfao
