the problem is idek that the story about born in england is accurate, there's just something didnt click bad translation, what clear is
- baek hayoon is actually the older brother and supposed to be named hajin, but the whole world think he is the youngest even manager kim.
- hajin is actually the younger one
confusion:
- is one of them illegitimate or half brother? i feel that both are real from the same parents. the mom's word "you know what he is to us" and the grandfather word, "you are my only grandson". if one of them is lying or don't know it most likely the grandfather. also hajin said he was the outsider. it may mean he is the illegitimate son or he is just the black sheep of the family that his mother dislike. and if he is illegitime, he related to whom? i still think he's the mother's son by her past words but also looks so much like dad. and there's little chance the dad will make someone not related to him by blood as his successor (unless he doesnt care about blood). it's more likely he was an orphan and not related to anyone. or he actually still the son but just disliked by mom.
- the timeline. it's said mother gave birth to older son who then was left in grandparents' care. them later she gave birth to another son in england. Manager. Kim said the first time he met Hajin was after he returned from England... but Hajin was the older one in his eyes so he wasnt supposed to be the one from England in Manager Kim's head.... is this translation error?? and if original hajin jas busan's dialect then isnt he the one who was left in grandparent's care thus it means he's the oldest. except if that video isnt actually hajin but baek in black hair. the timeline is what mess the explanation up.
yeah that my most best speculation. thanks for the clarification.
i still think it's a stretch to call hajin's stole the older one's life. after all why couldnt they both life in luxury?? why one has to be thrown?? even if there is a reason it wasnt hajin's fault. i mean i think the drama is being too overboard just because. i rather they have the usual he actually an illegitime child. ok maybe not, but it will make more sense.
btw the timeline explanation about who was born in england and who had to stay in korea still doesnt make sense. the translation also responsible for it.
the duke hate on the prophet was too abrupt.
It wasnt mentioned before. there was only a mention of prophet very early and too small to notice the connection. i also dont remember the word prophet has ever been mentioned aside from that. i just accepted the fact that mc is a prophet just because it is common in isekai.
i feel like it was only made to make a conflict between the two because they are too happy as a couple with little internal conflict but it was too cheap. and soon after that, ML changed his attitude too fast, and so MC.
I am still angry that the first thing he did when MC woke up after four months of coma was that he didnt want to see him again. but soon after he followed him and said he felt confused about his feeling??? dude you had got four months to think about that! and MC was in literal unknown state while in coma, that should have been enough to make you feel worried more of his condition rather than whether he had been deceiving you.
I will just said he was indeed the villain, his way of thinking isn't normal, his priority isn't normal. I think I will pretend this part of the story didn't happen.
But if this story should have been 10/10 it became 8/10 because of these parts. It is still a good score.
i was a new fujo back then but now after reading a lot more different and newer bl from all different sources (korean, chinese, western) i dont feel my heart flutter at all. their love feel more shallow coz all they do were sex sex and sex and whenever they feel deep emotion they went straight to sex. maybe i have forgotten a lot of stuff so correct me if i am wrong. even back then i still prefer the side couple, the childhood friend one.
but still it was a good for a beginner to know what classic bl are like, it was in the tamer or average side lol
the miscommunication is bad
but i kinda understand why ml doesnt want to tell him yet
he didnt actually want to find his named partner but due to the mystery of the name he got interested in mc... but he still confused, and not sure whether this is a good thing or a bad thing. mc is practically a stranger to him so it is normal to test him or sound him out (although the way he did it was a bit of an ass from MC's POV)
i mean come on, your future partner has been decided from birth, without your consent. not everyone can accept that. but in that world everyone are forced to believe that it will make you happy. sus right.
although mc deserves to know, ml probably not ready yet to tell him so i cant blame him. however aside from that he just got ass personality.
aaah i am so curious
but it feel impossible that hajin is a fake son
after all that mom often said, "i gave you my face", "you are my son that's the problem"
so it just feel like a case of she love the other son more?? it's so mysterious i want to know already!
but the other son said hajin was a fake? ( ̄∇ ̄")
Im not really sure about what I'll say since I read it somewhere, but it could be a spoiler so
SPOILER
SPOILER
SPOILER
SPOILER
Hajin is not her son , he is born from another woman out of wedlock , but because he resembles a "biological son" more , he was chosen by the father as the "official son and heir" , that's why there is a scene in the manhwa where her real son (the one with her in the scandel picture) says to hajin : "You stole everything from me" or something like that
SPOILER
No, Hajin is her biological son; he is actually the second son born because the first son was weak and unhealthy. The family literally switched their lives, with Hajin taking over his older brother's life and the brother being dumped in England. He is actually younger than everyone. The mom felt tormented and instead of hating the family she hated her son
lol now idk what to believe
i want to believe more that hajin is also a biological son at least it means he also has right to the luxury and doesnt "steal" too much. (he was never in fault to begin with)
but OG Hajin being actually younger than he is sounds interesting... it means on top of being raised in unhealthy environment the original hajin's mental age is also less developed than what people's thought... so the matter of the MC transmigrated as hajin add more purpose which is making "hajin" stand on the same "mental age" or even more with the other characters
am the only one who think this story is weird..
i wouldnt question it when i was younger but now i am an adult and a lot of recent shoujo just seem questionable to me
i mean this one, there are so many child abuse for what, 2 volume and possibly more?
i wont call out the water god bc he's not human, i am probably just confused whether this is ok for a shoujo manga which usually tame?
at the same time i get that it read like folktale of horrible events happening to a young child.
also maybe because the art is not that amazing, it feels bare a lot (minimum detail, minimum background) so probably why i couldnt be immersed in it.

from some korean webtoon i read about mmorpg, it seems they have a different set skill for normal gaming (aka farming) and PvP. skill that can be used in PvP cant be used in normal mode and vice versa. a different webtoon also mentioned the equipment used is also different. so it is possible one good at PvP wont be good at the other setting.
idk whether this is true for real life mmorpg in korea at least. but honestly this setting feel redundant. what do you mean they have to farm, enhance, and burn money for two different sets of equipment?? and they also have to build and learn to use two type of different skill sets for one character??
it is so different from mmorpg i usually found in japanese fiction. they usually have special area where PvP can be initiated but i havent seen one mention the different skill set or armor. they just use their normal skill set as it. it more cost and time effective.
Having different sets for PvP & PvE skills is not unheard of, the mmorpgs I play (which also happens to be korean and another japanese) have this system. Specific PvP gear tend to be more of a Korean thing, I see it more in their mmorpgs. And if you have different set of skills, it would also make sense that having specific set of gear will also boost those specific attributes.
And it does take a lot of your time to grind for gear/ becoming good at the different skills (especially if you play both PvP & PvE for different classes ╥﹏╥)
oooh so it is true. thank you for the confirmation
It's just that a game may have multiple skills available for a unit but the slots are limited to what skills are active. So the slots can be curated for PVE or PVP
