I think it’s cause she believes he’s a total player who sleeps with different women all the time, it’s hard to take people like that seriously lol like “I bet you say that to everyone” once the misunderstanding is cleared up she’ll know he isn’t just trying to say whatever to get her to sleep with him.
but I have absolutely zero idea what is going on. I'm going to keep an eye on it and hope that it gets official translations soon. :(

First and foremost: I DID AND WILL NOT READ THE FIRST STORY. The first chapter has PEDOPHILIA!!
I don't know for how long it goes on and in all honestly if this weren't an anthology, the first chapter would have stopped me reading the entire thing, but because it's broken up into many stories, I decided to give the rest a try. They were all quite good. This is who I have it 5 stars. That first chapter though, I wish I had been warned against. Not cool guys!!
You are absolutely right not to read the first chapters. When I first read this story, they caught me so off guard, that I had to skip through them just like you did. But for me, curiosity killed the cat when I read the second couple of the side story, which is a continuation of the first chapters. Then I decided to read it at my own risk and was really disgusted by the whole thing (I was quite stupid because I did it to myself). The worst part is when the villagers continued to defend the predator... I couldn’t keep it up anymore so I just brushed it over and only read for the other couple. I learned my lesson, never again.
I read part of the reaction pair and was super confused. In my case though, I went to go see again just in case it was a case where maybe he looked young for his age, or perhaps there was something else that made him not a predator. I got to the exact same spot I had when I initially realized it was horrible, said “NOPE” real loud, and went back to the main page. I then scrolled through the chapter selection and full on skipped the second couple too... just for safe measures. I didn't want to risk it even for any more seconds. I don't at all get why it's even there.
I'm finally caught up and god is this series SO good! I live Jake so much and when we going out his big secret I was SO happy! I guessed it from the very beginning, the first chapter... no, first panel we saw him in actually. Since then, I continually hoped against hope that I was going to be right. I showed it out loud when I learned it was true and I rolled around in my bed holding my phone. So great!
That chibi set at the end is just so precious!! God do I ever wish this had all been out when I found it. It's just so adorable and I love it. I also agree, all Helios ever thinks about its himself. I prefer him to Diana but only marginally. If Diana died I wouldn't care. If be a tiny bit sad if Helios does but would still be happy if he was just not in the story anymore. He does nothing but try to hurt Cael. That said, I wonder how much of the fact that he's supposed to be worth Cael's greatest love as per the original novel, and now that is Hestia, so his character feels compelled toward her because his character is written to do so, you know?
I'm only on page 59, but I just had to come here to say:

... and although I don't particularly disagree with a lot of that side's points, I'm personally pretty happy getting to find out how their world came to be. Why does one nation rely on magic and the other condemn it? Why does one Dragon openly rule one place and the other openly watches over the other, while ruling behind the scenes? And so many more.
I do agree that it's taking a ridiculously long time to tell the story, but there's a lot to go over. There's more to a story than just its characters.
I'm so sad that this is such a mess at the moment. I was really excited for this story line. Quick, someone clone Jujucat! Lol
