I don’t think I’ve ever loved an omega verse couple more than this one.
The omega is sooo fucking good (played up as a “badass” but still willingly docile AT HIS TERMS) and the alpha is such a green flag.
Not a shit bout the omega or alpha past (no sa, no slutshaming, no traumatic backstory) and it focuses on the present with the best relationship progression I’ve seen.
I really loved this story - but before I begin on the good let me just get a personal gripe outta the way.
I feel like Japanese omega verse cannot leave the omegas alone without SOME sort of trauma - idk how many omega verse ive read where they HAFTA have a traumatic, sad past. Like LEAVE EM ALONE??? Why r all ppl in omegaverse so vile.
Anyway, I really fuckikg liked this story. Honestly it suprised me that it was one that treated the traumas seriously and I like how it ripples in the rest of the story. There r some things that could’ve been done better (cough cough brother) but like it wasn’t bad.
I get why he forgave the brother but I didn’t like it. Added to the weird little gripe he has with the alpha - it could’ve been taken as a sibling-dislike if he idk hadn’t attempted to SA his own older brother? So it just comes off as jealousy (it seems misplaced as well, envious instead but it’s still WEIRD)
I wanna say the reason he forgave him so easily was because it doesn’t SEEM like there was any penetration, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t almost assault him?
Like there’s no denying that he almost got assaulted in the gang setting so why is it denied here??? Ugh the only gripe really.
Anwyay, Everything that the omega does is explicable to what happened to him and his deep rooted insecurity. It’s enough to the point where you can’t even really be “mad” even if his actions are unreasonable.
Same thing with the alpha - you just gotta remember they are YOUNG. So their actions make sense and they’re learning as they go.
They’re genuinely a good couple as they grow you can see the way they learn how to maneuver around the complexities of a relationship firsthand and they’re so cute.
Ten bucks says that if the black haired guy would’ve fucked the brown haired guy and “cheated” back THEN the white haired guy would’ve had an issue with the cheating even tho he was chronic cheater.
I kinda went into this one expecting anger to flare, but I was so expecting it I can’t even really be mad?
The white haired guy is obviously a scumbag, the black haired guy is a sad, pathetic, tied-down-by-past boyfriend, stuck in a perpetually toxic relationship and the brown haired guy is just a dick too.
How I just wish that threesome hadn’t had been focused on the bottom and the brown haired and black haired guy fucked on each other.
If I’m being honest I dislike an experienced bottom trope, but NOT for the reason you think. I just hate that in SOOO many BL, an “experienced” bottom always has the experience becuz of some traumatic or sad story. It’s never for the love of the game. And if it is - even though having flings and hooks ups is suppose to be “liberating”......
I think this is one story I won’t read unless I know down to the T whats happened to the characters before so if someone can - pls warn me.

Gorgeous art, short and cute story, no heavy hassle that drags on even in short stories - definitely worth the read.
I am a tiny bit bothered that he never asked about the marks nor did they expand on it - ur kinda left inferring about it. It’s not really relevant to the story at all so it makes sense it wasn’t expanded, but godddd that just isn’t sexy to me (the marks already on him).

My personal gripe - even in the very end when u assume NOW is the time to not be fucking the 2nd top - becuz the 1st top is WAITING for him - he still goes and does it.

I think this story has some problematic things, but overall it was really good. I wanna say if ur not into pushy tops or stupid bottoms don’t read it.
To delve further into it -
The first couple I did like, but my god was the bottom tiring in some points. It’s like I kept screaming at my phone, DONT SLEEP WITH HIM! DONT! And he just kept pushing and pushing.
Like it just felt kind of dickish to want to sleep with the top, say yes to his conditions, and the almost IMMEDIATELY try to skirt around them.
Luckily, he didn’t, but his entire thinking process was stressful as fuck to read. I did like them tho, they were pretty entertaining for the first couple.
As for the second couple, the LAST thing I expected was his stalker/almost-rapist to become the bottom of the second portion of this story.
The second top also gave suspect vibes, but he was just a “slut” At worst. He really, really wasn’t a bad guy even if he was pretending with the first bottom.
HOWEVER, I got to say - I also really liked their sorry. It seems like sometimes second couples are a hit or a miss and this was kinda hit.
The fact the bottom was a lil asshole the entire time was entertaining, and seeing him mellow out was nice.
And the top, HE WAS PUSHY and tbh he def forced him a few times. Sometimes it was dubious, but like overall he wasn’t the worst?
As odd as that sounds, Christ…
they’re both toxic but interestingly meshed well.
I had to come back just to give a few extra thoughts to the chapter that pissed everyone off and before.
This isn’t a review now, this is for myself primarily so that I can remember to not reread this if it catches my eye again.

So before chapter 46, there is no denying that the bottom does not want to admit he loves the top. Yes it’s infuriating but it’s not the worst - it just makes sense for the story. It’s like, you can’t even get mad because he’s doing this completely in denial. It does irk a little when they’re talking bout him being “impotent” in that one chapter becuz he couldn’t get it up until then, and he was fucking the hyung. He almost calls out the tops name, and that makes hyung feel “bad” but not bad enough I guess because then there’s chapter 46 - by then the emotions are more charged there from the couple.
By now, he’s a wreck assuming the worst.
He’s clearly in love with the top and on a mind-bend right now.
He searches for some comforting words/actions from the hyung who’s there to take care of him for the time being, and that’s where the issues take place.
1. He’s in love and yet he sleeps with the hyung - he said he felt shame, but he needed the “warmth” he felt from the top and he searched for it in someone else. KNOWING it was someone else and it dragged him back down even as he called the tops name.
2. Again, what he’s looking for is COMFORT and the hyung is selfish in this case. He uses physical means to comfort him, which in itself is whack but ok that’s what’s worked for the bottom I suppose - UNTIL THE CALL.
The call was where you just have to step back and think really - if he would’ve stopped to answer than that would’ve made a world of a difference, BUT HE DIDNT.
you can’t even say he didn’t know, he just did it on purpose to continue “comforting” the bottom.
Thats where the anger arises, cuz just ONE FUCKING DAY EVEN A FEW HOURS if the bottom had held maybe a tiny bit or the hyung hadn’t had been so bent on sleeping with the bottom, then it wouldn’t have been so fucking infurating.
The worst part is - IT WASNT CHEATING? It’s just really fucking pissing everyone off cuz it felt like it. They don’t discuss it either, there’s really nothing that comes out of it which then brings up the anger again cuz WHAT WAS THE POINT? He should’ve tapped out or some shit and it would’ve had the same fcking effect but whatever.
The smut between the leads was hot afterwards tho and really with the story setting it’s not all too surprising chapter 46 happened tbh. This is why I don’t like reading anything with a mafia/yakuza setting where they’re directly involved like ever.
It’s an excuse for the most vile, messiest plot lines.
This is one of those stories where u kinda just EXPECT the more heavy themes and stuff so u can really mentally prepare for it - which I recommend doing.
Let me just say this story is whack as fuck. I mean a decent read I suppose, it hooks u, but the “dad” and “kiddo” thing is so fucking odd. It’s GOTTA be a fetish thing, like it’s gotta.
There is only so much you can excuse by saying “it’s the setting and plot of the story” it’s just a lil weird.
You gotta read it knowing that.
My god I love this story, it’s so sweet.
I’ve never seen a chasing arc where the bottom is doing the chasing (at least not for an BS reason) and I am obsessed.
It’s not inherently that he did something malicious either, he just hurt the top unintentionally and with full jurisdiction the top cut him off then. But the chase scene that comes out it is so goodddd… another thing, their relationship is so pure.
They’re so good and the get together, to the chasing, to the after - none of it is boring. It’s a pretty mellow story, sure but it’s not boring one bit.
Side tangent ——-
The fact they hold relationships to such high standards is kinda rare in BL. The hatred of casual flings from both of them - wild - and also the both of them just being good boyfriends in general from their past to their present. It’s just crazy to me that they’re not toxic - or not as jaded as other BL couples.
They’re up there with the couple from the third ending honestly in terms of yearning and a cute and docile relationship.
I got shit for writing a longer review so I’ll condense it -
The bottom is a dick (his “change” wasn’t even that good), the story plot has been done before and better (way better), and the term “yaoi proportions” don’t apply here becuz they’re built like they walked off the AoT anime set.
I actually read this a while back and yeah honestly, I hated the toilet scene it literally pmo so bad that when I saw this BL again my blood froze.
To begin with, it’s all about personal reading taste and this is something that CAN make or break the story for a lot of people.
It’s not about whether it was “right” or “wrong” becuz he’s single, but the TOP IS RIGHT - HES TOO EASILY INFLUENCED.
Listen, im not slut shaming him, but I am romance shaming him. (I know I know it’s BL, but I’m a firm romance believer - tho ig I shouldn’t have expected them to be the most romantic with a name like crack star)

I’m not particularly hateful of the “big turned slim” reads like others, but this one just doesn’t do it right or justice.
It’s already a pretty sensitive topic amongst a lot of people, they hate it fervently but like some of the stories r ok sometimes, sometimes they’re also badly written.
I think if u have to read some of it to be able to tw if you’re gonna like it cuz it basically stays pretty much the same the entire read.
Anyway, into the gripes.
I’ve read a lot of stories with ridiculous proportions but this one is on the extreme and it’s not like the author can’t do “normal” sizes, the bottom is big but not ridiculously big and the other characters r the same.
Also the bottom is a FUCKING DICK. It’s not the the top isn’t without his faults too - the semi stalking was weird and he did a variety of other things that were iffy at worse. Albeit he DOES GET BETTER BUT ITS NOT UNTIL ALMOST THE END??
Yes he comes to really like the top, but like I’ve also read many stories where the bottom/top are assholes to a virgin but like this one felt EXTRA targeted against the top for his virginity in both sex and relationships.
And somehow it’s always the virgins who act a lil more respectfully to the relationship than their partners.
Like bruh, he just started his fucking job and ur already hooting and hollering that he ain’t throwing a metaphorical bone at you.

There really isn’t much to say bout it other than there’s nothing inherently wrong with it.
Sincerely if you want an easy read with low stakes this is the right place - AND DONT TENSE UP, everyone is being genuine and no bs switch up at all so read at ease.
Now to delve deeper into it, they couldn’t have handled communication better in this story.
It was so refreshing to see them actually TALK and also realize when the “talk” wasn’t enough to suffice the problems they were having.
It made for an easy read and a quick one at that.
It’s like, the places where you felt like they needed to converse more is acknowledged and then later rectified.
It’s a BL, so there was some miscommunication, but it was solved so contently within the story.
it also pleasantly surprised me with the way it handled religion in both lights. From the homophobic to the supportive nature of the good people who hold the faith.
For ONCE we get religious parents who aren’t homophobic.
As for the leads themselves - super fucking green top.
Idk how tf he hasn’t had a relationship before but he’s like BAM I want it this way and that way, no shame and no hesitation. The last scene with his parents too was so nice to see, a characters who a softie by nature and stays soft even if it frustrated u cuz that mf def deserved a beating but the way the relenting trauma is portrayed was nice.
As for the bottom - super green. Even though there was a few places where he had weak points, his support system really shines through and there is no shame either in the fear he felt.
There was a lot he was putting at stake so each reaction was valid and his after contemplation that followed was great to see too.
It’s tough to live with that fear and homophobia isn’t just a slight obstacle, it’s genuinely dangerous so his worry wasn’t unfounded. I think it was great he was willing to try to slowly open his horizons with the top.
Side note: it surprises me to see how many ppl slut shame the used-to-be-top bottom. Not shaming anyone tho, I get it on a personal level and on a story level. It felt contradictory to his fear, but it’s within the community and closed essentially so him being ran through respectfully wasn’t the biggest thing. It is a plot point in the story, but not a glaring topic since the top is understanding.
And the side characters, by god it’s nice that there’s not one antagonistic asshole - mob doesn’t count cuz he ain’t even do shit.
So it’s so easy to like em even the side couple uke who gave sus vibes turned out to be the greatest friends they could have.
Overall super soft read.
Like, I get that ppl get desperate but jizzing on a bat? I’ve never seen a more porn plot device.
It was ok though, decent read and uncensored (which jarred me a bit) but not had.
The ML is fucking clinically insane, like an actual psychopath and the only way to REALLY know if you’re gonna enjoy this read is how much you like red flag tops.
I’ll warn anyway before anyone goes in - he’s a violent, selfish, dick who does assault the MC an array of times.
Now onto the actual review.
I liked it and sometimes you like trash and that’s ok.
The ML is like actually insane and you find out pretty quickly bout it in the beginning. You know something isn’t quite right bout him in the head.
The MC seems to be kind of a pushover but not really - he’s just exceptionally kind to a fault. Hes not an unbearable character in my opinion either, I liked him as a character too. Only someone like him would deal with someone like the ML.
The most compelling part of the story isn’t exactly hte romance either - it’s the MC’s compulsion and incapability to fully shoot the loaded gun and the ML who takes said metaphorical gun and goes crazy with it.
The way the ML loses it and the way he interacts with the MC and others is just… compelling? Idk but it makes for an interesting read.
There’s no NPC here as an obstacle, only the obsessive and possessive ML.
I wouldn’t say there’s high stakes in the story either you’re just kind of along for the ride of the MC dealing with the crazy ML.
They’re both so fucked you’re just sighing towards the end of the story and saying to yourself, fucking finally.
It was nice to see a story for once where the step mom isn’t a fucking monster or some shir. She genuinely wanted to connect with him and it was cute.
The story itself is very fast paced, slap stick comedy. It was good but don’t expect too much from it or anything to really be expanded on or touched upon.
You just kinda have to infer some things.
the ending felt very rushed even tho I feel like they could’ve just left it off with them studying away or some shit. But if it’s nice to know they got into college I suppose.
