It felt kind of out of nowhere, just plot convenient. Like I don’t have anything more to tell about her when she’s 12, let’s immediately skip to an age where it’s more interesting. I honestly didn’t enjoy the way it was so sudden and that it was five years. I liked the way it was going while the FL was young and I’m a bit sad her dad was in coma for five years! I guess they kept him alive with magic or sth but I was like if he’s not eating or drinking for five years that can’t be good??
Anyway I hope the rest of the story will be good, I’ll go back to reading now
I saw the advertising on Instagram and well dark topic right away because suicide attempt but then in chapter 2, the dude is straight up raped :/ toxic relationship hello… it’s probably just my own tolerance but I have a hard time forgetting that/going beyond that. He hurt him, he took his first time without his consent and he made him bleed, while threatening him with his little brother and else. That’s really a bad start… I think it’s not really for me, maybe I’ll try to come back later, who knows.

Overall good scenario. Interesting choices with several love interests but I was glad she ended choosing the demon prince. The scenario did feel a bit long at the end, to me. Like around chapter 100-110 I was wanting to end it faster. I feel like even if the maron guild is foreshadowed, the big villain of it all is not really? So his appearance feels very ah. Ok. And I don’t like that his possession justifies all of the first prince actions. But it’s also because they made me feel quite icky, which impacted my perspective of him overall.
This story went quite far, from the getting rid of stepmother and stepsister to battle for the thrones/war with demons. I don’t like the fact that her being reincarnated never really was on the table and was unsaid. And that uh no reasons for it really explained? I’m someone who prefer when it’s a bit clearer than that.
I really like the second prince’s growth. From his love for her to be willing to stand for himself. I feel like it was a good narrative arc. I really appreciated the count’s character as well and how he was depicted.
The relationship between the FL and ML was good. I found it endearing even if they have been idiots in love for quite a bit of the story. I liked the parallel with ML’s sister’s story that ended in tragedy, and that added some complexity to the characters.
A character I really not liked;
Her brother is kind of bad :/ it’s not for the lack of trying but that doesn’t make him a good brother. He comes back so late in the story, although his sister is always hoping it will happen, because he doesn’t want to face step mother and step sister (so he runs away from the situation and let his sister suffer nasty abuse). In the original story he only comes back after she’s dead - if that doesn’t tell you how bad he is. In here, when he comes back he’s controlling, annoying, trying to shelter his sister even if she’s kind of an adult now and doesn’t really need him, which lead to a lot of unnecessary actions. He also at first tries to kind of sell her off to his friend, who’s an asshole. Also he has suspicions that the ML is linked to his sister but instead of asking the question before fighting him off, he gravely injured him before he goes oh btw are you related to my sister? And then he feels guilty about hurting an important person to her like DUH. The FL kind of run away from home at first because he’s playing stupid. Then when they meet again, the ML has to “prove himself”? To whom? Cause until there the brother has only made bad decisions regarding his sister, if anything the brother is the one who has to prove himself lol.
Good thing he at least recognizes that she grew on his own and that she doesn’t need him.
He also didn’t assist to her wedding and left her behind (again lol) and he didn’t even say bye face to face he left her a f letter.
Yeah he’s a good friend to Dian and maybe a good lover to Ramona but you definitely wouldn’t want to have that guy in your family.
(Also poor Dian who’s in for a lot of thirdwheeling lol).
So overall a good story, with all its characters, even the one I didn’t like, as I felt like it made the plot what it is. It’s also good to have characters that make bad decisions etc, as it’s the way life is. I’d say reading this was a positive experience. I read a lot of chapters all at once (the arc with stepmothers and the ML becoming the ML was good) but I was less enthusiastic about the conclusion and the pace of it.

I honestly don’t think everything is to be thrown away but there are quite a few things that annoyed me about this story. I’ll start by the positive ones ; I felt like the plot was surprising enough. The fact she wasn’t the only one being reincarnated, that it was the three of them and it was actually linked to the accident in the first place felt fresh and nice enough. There was a certain degree of satisfaction. I liked the use of recorders cause I’m often joking like I hope you recorded this confession somehow! when characters confront their archnemesis and here it happened… maybe even a bit too often?
I have to say something, the main relationship is not bad but I had a hard time getting too attached to them. I skipped through a lot of their pages. It is also tied to the fact that the translation isn’t very good. Actually sometimes the chapters are fine or more than fine and other times I have a hard time understanding what it is intended to say. Also the last chapters very clearly have weird cuts in them, panels that don’t connect together and that randomly switch through part of the story. That was the most annoying thing ever, especially as the ending was dragging on for so long. I love when we get to see the main characters’ ending. But seeing that for so many chapters and hear about their kids and her exhibition etc felt too much. Yura’s story was way more interesting at this point but we didn’t even have all of it because it kept cutting off.
Also the time skips with no explanations were so severe at the ending. She falls pregnant way too quickly to my taste, in terms of story it was rushing at this point, it felt like they barely were done dealing with the main story that it was happening, and then it’s twins (are we in a fake aita story or what lol) and then during the next chapters the twins have grown enough…? We also don’t have their birth (probably because the chapters aren’t complete). And with the parallel with Yura it feels even more messy and I didn’t get at all how much time was passing.
Another bad point of this (for me) is how the main villains keep sabotaging themselves, and how the main characters keep dragging it on for chapters and chapters. Also how they keep being injured but everything is okay (I stopped counting the amount of times they end up in hospital but I hope they took a subscription). Like main characters get proof of evil doing by villains, but for some reasons they have to wait X amount of chapters before revealing it or it wouldn’t be dramatic enough. Also villains being super smart and then doing the worst dumbest thing to be discovered (the brother paying a guy to murder her and it was all very traceable and easy to find) like ??? We’re talking about the guy that pushed ML in the water and then pretended to be the victim and have a damaged leg for years? Did he regress or what?
In general all the villains in the story feel so weak and like they’re in the end not a threat at all. There’s a lot of suspense and sense of danger that they try to carry but it falls flat cause you wait a lot of chapters before anything happens and they literally shoot themselves in the foot. Also may it be Yura or the brother, the fact they end up being ridiculed add to the idea that they feel weak as characters that are supposed to bring in difficulty (the brother learning his mother left for example.) I don’t know, I feel like their treatment could have been much better. It’s like they tried to add complexity. For the brother it doesn’t work cause it’s not enough foreshadowed. For Yura it’s done in a better way, I would say. You learn the kind of cycle she’s stuck in, with her mother’s history, and there’s quite a few shady things that happen to her as well, that can still make you sympathize with her (of course she was a b* more than once but she didn’t take advantage of her sister’s trauma with food for example). In my opinion she still feels human. Pathetic, foolish, and your feelings for her evolve through the story.
In the end, I won’t take too much of a stance on this work. I would say it is my opinion first and foremost that although this story has been enjoyable, it shouldn’t have been the length it is. I think somewhere around 80s chapters would have been better. The plot dragged around way too much in some moment and it made some interactions feel forced. The end in particular made me feel bored and skimming through it. Overall maybe a 3.5/5? I’m not sure to be fair.
(PS : I just thought about it as I finished writing this but did we ever hear about her grandfather ever again? Is he dead or did he just disappear off camera because I don’t remember having seen him in the last chapter. If I’m right then… rip I guess)

I was just looking for a story with a bit of Mafia involved and I was not disappointed. It’s not overly complicated, but the two characters are honestly so cute with each other. I guess some aspects of the story could have been more explored, but I’m definitely fine with the way it is now. An adorable, nice and short story to read, with a hint of drama. I loved it!

It’s a personal opinion of course, but I haven’t really enjoyed this. I was looking for a story like Marry My husband, that I really loved, and I was recommended this one. I did like the beginning of the story, the setting, the drawings but I’m not enjoying the turn it took and the plot twists. I actually liked the personality of the MC because she seemed quite strong and independent, I liked some of the stances she had during the chapters, but the whole turn around this story has doesn’t sit well with me. The whole the second male lead being actually the evil one all along while the other guy is actually good!! He never even cheated on her!! But even if he did not, he still made her miserable, I’m sorry. Even without the cheating it doesn’t erase the cold attitude and the years that settled between them, the loneliness she felt. I don’t think they’re a good fit together, so then I’m mostly left contemplating I would’ve liked a third option for her, at least I think so.
So yes, I guess I’m not the most satisfied with it? I feel sorry the story didn’t appeal to me, but I guess it can’t please everyone. So if anyone reads this, you should probably give it a go to have your own opinion about it :)
As for me I’ll probably reread marry my husband real quick again haha

So I dropped this and I came back for it now. I had a hard time with it last time and I can’t say it was super easy this time either. There are a few things that makes that I don’t stick to that story, I don’t really know why. I think the pace may be a bit too slow for me, so from time to time I skimmed through pages of chapters instead of focusing totally on it. On the other hand, it is a good plot. I like the direction it takes and I like how it’s handled, even if some mysteries took extra long to be revealed (like Pahn’s upbringing really took soooooo long.) also I think I would have preferred for the plot to be more foreshadowed (like who is the culprit etc) it feels like Sungah gets a bit of Clea’s memories back very late. It was sometimes frustrating to see how helpless she could be in some situation, even if it also helped to grasp her character. Overall the plot reminded of another (being back in a “villainess” body and having a limited time, being weak etc) but it was handled quite differently. I like how there were several layers to it.
I’m not the most fond of the relationship between Sungah and her husband. Tbh, it wasn’t really healthy, and maybe it’s supposed to appeal to me as it is (omg he was dark and he’s on his best behavior for her but he can also be very dark about her) but I don’t like his hyper possessiveness. There’s a thin line between loving someone and treating them like an object, wanting to control their every moves. It landed too many times on that side for me, even at the end when he was happy he had her “trapped in a cage.” Even if Sungah stood against it several times, it still felt like he was getting what he wanted. And I get that he likes her, it’s the first time he feels like this, she’s special etc, but you can love someone and also trust them. So yeah it did irk me a little, maybe I’m the only one. They lacked communication. And also sacrificing 100 people… mmh…
That ending was so not necessary tho it was painful to see after their deaths. Why would you do this to us author?
I think the story is a 4/5 stars.
Last note : I know magic is made as something that exists in that universe but I was still surprised at how Marquess Salami (seriously that name I had a hard time visualizing it seriously) / Salme could literally see people’s life expectancy? And it wasn’t really explained? It sounded like something quite special though.
It’s only hypothesis but at the moment we haven’t seen any trace of moon owl, and it seems like Sapphire still could be him. I feel like it’s a bit early to decide it is effectively not him. Because MC is surprised he doesn’t know about the mermaid story but then she smiles, thinking that he did it on purpose so she could gather everyone’s attention on her. And it makes sense, that he would play along, because his goal is to make her attractive to everyone’s eyes and charming enough they could think she’s a replacement of Marianne. He also still has some similar characteristics to moon owl, so as for me I do think it still could be him.
I’m surprised by the sudden dislike about him actually. Maybe he’s the show coordinator, which implies he has to do some actions, but he still pulled the MC out of her misery, with the promise to free her from her husband. He also asked her to play a role, but he helped her and I did find his interactions with her to be pretty good. From the way he tried to make her gain confidence, to their “role play”, I also think he is the person from her childhood.
But that’s a lot of thoughts that I guess can be proved wrong later who knows haha.
