...Oh shit. I found the novel on N*ver and this is the description. IS SHE GONNA RUN AWAY???? NOOOOOOOOOO
MTL'd description:
“You really deserve to be punished.”
The man seemed sincere.
His face, looking down at me, was quite serious.
“You treated an inexperienced young man like this and ran away for a year. And where are you going to take him now?”
“...Run away?”
Yeon didn’t know what was happening to me right now.
Growling. A sound like an animal’s gurgle escaped his throat. It was the sound of
something thick boiling, like lye being poured in. It was a sound I’d heard many times before.
“I think you’re ready to accept it properly now.”
The room was filled with the smell of the animal.
“Even if it’s hard and painful, you’ll endure it and be my partner. You can’t run away again in the middle, right?”
Having waited so long, he was determined to do everything properly, meticulously going through each step. He would
gently coax his clumsy, young woman, and thoroughly penetrate her to the bone, the beginning of this night.

THEY'RE SO CUTE OH MY GODDDDD
And I love how they're equally obsessed with each other! The female lead (or uke in bl) is usually much more passive in other stories, but in here she's just as active in persuing and seducing the male lead (≧∀≦)
If anything happens to either of them I'm gonna freak out.
Also: is it just me or is the author clearly shipping the two subordinates together?

This one had surprisingly good action! I never expect much in that aspect from BLs as it's usually disappointing, but I liked plot and execution as much as their relationship. I was actually a bit annoyed everytime the action of the second part was interrupted by flashbacks of random sex scenes just for the sake of inserting smut for the readers.
Also, is it just me or have some aspect of the story never been fleshed out properly? For example, the whole thing about Yeon-woo being brought in as that guy's toy and apparently having been sa'ed by him in the past, what exactly happened between them? The whole rape scene (which was also never addressed...?!) at ch.18 and him then suddenly wanting to kill Yeon-woo was also quite random. And what about the scars from torture on Yeon-woo's back? I don't think it was ever properly explained when or why he was tortured. Was it just part of the training? Or was it when he kind of rebelled wanting to see his sister? And also, what's the deal with that guy with a clear crush on the male lead?? He suddenly came in all cool saving Yeon-woo, only to randomly start acting bitchy towards him out of jealousy. That pissed me off a bit ngl. Like, the guy just almost freaking died, and it's not like he is forcing ml to help him and put himself in danger, let him be?? He was also a character that was introduced out of nowhere and didn't have much of a purpose, like the guy wanting to kill Yeon-woo (I mean the latter was part of the plot, but his relationship with Yeon-woo seemed a bit forced and then forgotten).
Apart from these details I really liked the story, and I also liked the love the main couple had for each other (≧∀≦). I wasn't very fond of the male lead in the beginning, but after he realized his feelings he turned into the sweetest and most supportive boyfriend ever, I really didn't expect to like him as much as I did!

When I tell you that in chapter 5 I was tearing up like crazy!! It was so difficult not to cry TT. I got so irrationally attached to Ryousuke, he's one of the most lovable characters I think I have ever read about (he actually made me realize that his exact personality, positive and cheerful but still mature and reliable, is the one I always look for in male leads, but I only ever find it in second male leads, so sad!). I could feel the love he and Haru had for each other through the screen, and that made it hurt so much more when he eventually left...
This is also the reason why, while I was also very attached to Tsukasa, I struggled seeing him and Haru as a couple. Not that I don't like them together (although Tsukasa could have indeed been older than a fresh out of highschool kid, cough cough), I do, but Ryousuke and Haru were just PERFECT for each other, you know what I mean? And Tsukasa also seemed a bit like a substitute for Ryousuke in my opinion, like Haru subconsciously realizing that Ryousuke will one day leave and trying to find somebody else to love and rely on, and then accepting Tsukasa when he actually left for good. I know it's just my impression, and in fiction anything is possible, but it seemed very unnatural for him to immediately fall in love with somebody else after the extent to which him and Ryousuke loved each other all their lives... I think I would have appreciated more a time skip of at least 1-2 years at the end after which Shunya realizes he moved on, that he fell in love with Tsukasa and finally accepts his feelings.
Still, this is just my preference, all in all this was a full 10/10 story, I LOVED IT SO MUCH! I will for sure be rereading it regularly when I want to cry

Did they just... sexually assault each other? Nice! (*sarcastic*)
Well, all in all I think I understand the low ratings... it had potential as a cute hurt/comfort story with a supportive puppy seme, but it ended up being very bland and developed/ended quite abruptly. I'm also disappointed in both main characters because of the sa, especially Yukiya who actually didn't stop and full on raped Takumi, wtf??! I'm not used to the bottom raping the top so that surprisingly shocked me much more than all the abusive tops I read about combined. This in turn shocked me because I realized that I almost take for granted that a top will assault the bottom in some way?!?
NOOOO SEEMS LIKE CH.15 IS THE LAST CHAPTER
(source: the raws. It says "last episode" https://m.mrblue.com/webtoon/detail/wt_000069987?pid=wt_000069987&directview=ok&_AD=Y)
I'm so disappointed, this had the potential to go on for AT LEAST 40 chapters, considering that a lot of mediocre BLs go up to 100 chapters :/// I was SO ready to see more about all the characters introduced and about their relationship
PLEASE TELL ME I READ WRONG
NOOO STOP
As devastating as it is, I think it's a good way to end the story? Like a form of salvation for the both of them since though this is an immortal x mortal, through the centuries they've basically been going on the same cycle—so both of them dying this chap and hopefully moving on another life is definitely so much better but I hope there's side stories
