I was about to drop it bec I kinda get lost to what this 2 really want? Okay so I kinda get it.These 2 destined to get together. Taeho being prepped as the mermaid's "destined" kinda like rebelled and and prepped himself to play around to make sure he would be hated and always be dumped. Remember when he said that he likes it when the girls get angry at him he likes it? Probs bec he gets more confident that the mermaid wont fall inlove with him too or he himself wont fall inlove or just treat the mermaid like anyone else. He has to do that bec he is ofcourse afraid to die bec of the curse right? That cycle ate him up I mean he is human also afraid to die. If I was in his position and I would die bec of some stupid curse and I cant run away bec of clan "duties" (have to stay with Eunwoo because of the fated partner thingy) I would also make sure to be hated by Eunwoo and would do stupid things to "harden my resolve". It doesnt look evident but for 3 years he devoted himself to find Eunwoo even if it takes him probably forever. Even if there's slim to no chance that he will see him again. Also he decided killing himself. He said that he will give his life to make up all the hurt he caused to Eunwoo. That is a big decision to make.Tho Eunwoo sacrificed himself too. I think that made it lift the curse completely right?
This story hurts so much bec obviously no ine wants to die right, and whoever sacrifices will mean suffering to the one who will be left behind. And if the mermaid choose to kill the human would that mean he doesnt love them enough? So whatever you choose it's always the losing end.
The epilogue actually makes me anxious the entire time what if they say I love you and Eunwoo would disappear and he just wanted to spend his last days with Taeho. Eunwoo was acting very much chill and looks kinda "strangely looking happy" that's why I was anxious the entire time. Good thing he was like that so that Taeho would stop blaming himself and will start happy memories from now on. That made me happy for the ending. Sometimes you just gotta bury everything, move on and start fresh if youre decided to forgive and stay with the one you love to be happy moving forward.
Still Team Sunbae here. Stepbro literally GROOMED young uke so that he will be the only person in his life when he gets back to him. Uke is already unloved, ignored and unwanted. He’s literally a supernatural being with very little concept of human relationships- young uke went to die because he had no family and didn’t want to go to an orphanage and our friendly neighborhood boogie man here, granted his wish of wanting a family. Now, his violation of the prime directive did result in regular people viewing the MC a certain way because of his connection to the other side, but to call it grooming, or even malicious manipulation, is a stretch.
