The entire time I was reading I kept going "it's hilarious that Sota looked so stereotypical 'cause Maria-sen doesn't draw conventionally attractive ml's in her works" ((Deeta & Ref for example)).
It kinda felt like an inside joke to me, so the translation for the author's note at the end is confusing.

He was even planning on killing Woo-yeol at some point 'cause it meant that the devil's replacement job was successful.
Also, Woo-yeol is saying he forgives him for trying to kill him 'cause now, even if it's for his own personal gain, he's trying to help Seong-ah and Woo-yeol stay together.
Also, ya'll can hate him for raping the devil all you want, but the reason why it was "swept under the rug" IS 'CAUSE THEY ARE DEVILS DEALING IN THE BUSINESS OF KILLING PEOPLE. And we've seen that it doesn't matter if the person was intentionally "evil" or not. Woo-yeol was a victim of his father just as much as those kids, but since he never did anything to stop him the angels tagged him for replacement. It's shown that ultimately their system is morally bankrupt 'cause it doesn't take everything into account. The newbie angel even points out how wrong it is to judge Woo-yeol based on the dream simulations they put him through.
They themselves are not entirely free of evil 'cause their own business ultimately throws away lives based on theories and tests that are deemed unconstitutional and bankrupt even in real life. It's not that they don't care about Daewoo's actions, it's that ultimately they are demons/devils and morally bankrupt, lazy angels. They've done worse by their own standards even if it's supposedly a "righteous" job.
This is why I constantly say "literacy is dead."
Ya'll see Woo-yeol say he forgives Daewoo and that Daewoo doesn't regret his actions and IMMEDIATELY think they are referring to the one rape scene and not the conversation about him murdering people for selfish reasons that they currently had IN THIS CHAPTER. Woo-yeol DOESN'T EVEN KNOW THAT DAEWOO RAPED THE DEVIL SO WHY TF WOULD YOU THINK HE WOULD BE TALKING ABOUT THAT NOW??
Daewoo tried to fucking kill him so Seong-ah could replace Woo-yeol. He's also killed many other people whether for that same reason or not. THAT'S WHAT THE CONVERSATION IS ABOUT THIS CHAPTER. The only people who know are the morally bankrupt devil CEO, devil who works for the murder company and the man who murders people for headpats from the devil who made him. No one else.

It's not clear what exactly happened that night since Saha is an unreliable narrator right now, but here we go.
Saha has blocked most of what happened the night Heetae was murdered from his memory. He remembers seeing him and Heesu struggling against each other and Heetae taking the drop from the balcony, but he doesn't remember bribing the lil girl with the snacks Heesu gave him. It's why he's confused the next morning when she's in possession of them given that Heesu gifted those specifically to him. He was trying to bribe her to say she saw Saha and not Heesu that night 'cause he's trying to take the blame for it. Unfortunately, he doesn't remember this exchange so he's freaking out 'cause he's sure Heesu murdered Heetae and that it wasn't an accident.
Heetae lost it on Saha not 'cause he thinks he's actually pregnant ((duh)) but that now that Heetae is gone Saha is gonna try to stay in the family, or in Heetae's mom's favor, by faking a pregnancy. He didn't realize that the idea of Saha being pregnant was originally the mom's insane delusion 'cause he gagged in front of her. He's also probably pissed off at the possible event that Saha and Heetae had sex.
Either way, Heesu is now bribing the lil girl and her mom to keep everything a secret about Heetae's death. Whether he's the one that actually killed him or it was Saha somehow, Heesu wants to make sure that no one pins it on Saha somehow. He's got the ability to make it all seem like an accident so long as Saha or the other witnesses don't blab.

But the point of a safeword is for it to be something you wouldn't normally say during sex or could be mistaken as encouragement to continue.
A lot of BDSM centered stories do this trope where they make "I like/love you" their safeword, and I get *why* to a degree, but it immediately sucks me out of the moment every single time. It's why the fucking "pineapples" thing was a running joke for so long. It sounds silly af but it's a good example of what to use. It's not only a word you wouldn't say in the heat of the moment but it's also good at breaking the tension 'cause of how nonsensical it is. No one is gonna continue a hard-core play after hearing someone shout pineapples lol
I just wish bl authors would understand why safewords are so important just a tiny bit more and not treat it like an emotional crutch plot point.
