Hatoya-sen's style *has* been changing since their first ever series.
It happens. It especially happens with long-winded series like this one that apparently has 6 volumes with only 3 of them translated so far.
Either shut up and read or leave. Ya'll are annoying with all your whining in the comments about how Ai looks "younger" when literally everyone is steadily becoming rounder and have more chibi panels. I'm tired of ya'll screaming "pedo, pedo!" like you're some sort of Pokémon. Jfc.
Some of you are so obtuse when it comes to series like this it honestly gives me a migraine.
There is so much more to the story outside of "weeeeeeh Winter raped Raymon" but ya'll are too preoccupied with focusing on that that the whole rest of the plot and the message it's trying to send just go right over your heads.
All ya'll care about is whether someone is getting raped or not and morally grandstanding over it. If you don't like rape/dubcon in series 'cause of trauma or other personal reasons that's fine. Not everyone can handle this stuff. STOP. READING.
This is a dark series about trauma, drugs, rape, abuse/grooming of a minor, suicide and murder. It's not a series you should be reading if you can't handle conflict deeper or darker than "but I can't be in love with a dude 'cause I'm not gay."
I am saying this for your own good. Just go read something else.
They expect the entire plot to be dumped on them for full understanding within 10 chapters. It's like their attention spans can't handle more than 30 minutes of consuming something lol
Like, the moment Winter dropped a hint that they used to know each other my ass was like "ohhhhhh I am in for a long, painful ride" and have STAYED for it. I live for this shit lol and it's nice having something deeper and darker to read after I've had to sate myself with like 15 office/college romance series.

After rereading this years later I have come to realize that this could have been a fairly decent story if the plot actually went somewhere.
There was a potential murder-mystery involving military power struggles and two characters seemingly tied together through fate and a semi-common goal.
This had the potential to be gut-wrenching and actually satisfying, but it just falls flat on its face within seconds. Even the reveal of who Shiohira is to the two protags was lackluster. I remember my first reaction, and it was literally just "ohhhhhh... ok." LOL
Idek. It's just disappointing.
my exact thoughts :/
I really thought it could've gone somewhere, like, we never got to know shit basically
why were the higher-ups acting like that? why would it be an issue if it was revealed that the ML was the fathers son? since we know how the dad died, MC being the witness + cause, ML wouldnt be suspected for murder
like,,, theres so many questions I had, but there was more porn than plot so...
even the fact that the ML is traumatized and the MC understood that was actually somewhat decent in the portrayal of an unhealed trauma victim but eh,, imma go eat some kiwi...
Yeah, seeing as this is an earlier work for this mangaka it kinda makes sense that it's so full of holes and doesn't really do much with the plot lol
It was just a fairly interesting plot that fell flat due to writer inexperience and probably time crunch since deadlines are brutal for mangaka.
