'cause all in all it was good but idek man.

Left me feeling kinda hollow.

If it was that easy for Natsuka to get over his unrequited love and obsession then it just kinda feels empty? And Seno whining about Natsuka never paying him any attention so he lied about who he was when there was a possibility that Hakushima would have never woken up was kinda off-putting for me.

I just feel like Hakushima got shafted and HARD. He's obviously got an inferiority complex he's never been able to talk about. He fell in love with someone who used him till they could snag his older brother. He was in an accident and even tho he was supposedly "prepared" to die that day it's still kinda fucked that he had to go through all that shit.

Maybe this is wishful thinking on my part but I honestly think Natsuka and Hakushima coulda had a decent relationship. Seno was just too whiny for me and his whole big lie and conforming to whatever people told him to do just wasn't my cup of tea. He just came off as weak willed and sketchy.

"I condone using rape/sexual assault as a trope but I draw the line at incest."

lol

    lostikins July 26, 2020 8:27 pm

Most of ya'll are cool with romanticizing mental illness and sexual assault but draw the line at some of the weirdest shit lol tf??

Otouto was almost gang banged by a bunch of dirty old men for his first time but ya'll are more focused on the fact he was included in a 3P with his older brother and the man he looks up to? Ya'll ok?? He isn't in love with his older brother lol Chile.

We stan a real MVP in this house (▰˘◡˘▰)

lostikins July 14, 2020 5:53 pm

That he was a child when he realized he was in love with his brother in a romantic sense. His inner turmoil started during a very impressionable age. It was something he couldn't openly admit to so easily 'cause he knew it was wrong and 'cause it was his older brother he was lusting after.

I dare anyone to be like "yeah I could've told Itsuki right then and there that I jerked it to my older brother ever since I was in middle school and dreamed about having sexual relations with him."

I will gladly tell you that you're a fuckin' liar to your face lol

    lostikins July 14, 2020 6:03 pm

Lemme get a show of hands of those who could openly admit to ANYONE that they have masturbated/felt romantic love towards a blood related family member.

    I'll wait lol

    anonienonie July 14, 2020 6:04 pm

Fucking Amen. It’s one thing to be in love/lust with a stranger, but your own brother? I see so many comments on other manga about how incest is disgusting etc etc. How do you think a person who has those thoughts actually feel? I can’t even begin to imagine the guilt, shame, and self hate Airi must have gone through, and at such an early age!

Airi is EXTREMELY lucky that Itsuki was loving, understanding, and non judgmental... otherwise this manga could have turned really dark.

E X A C T L Y. People saying Itsuki was "too easy" on Airi really tick me off 'cause most of them are the ones going "I think it's gross that he was in love with his brother" in other topics.

He was literally in middle school the first time he masturbated to his brother and since then he had been plagued by thoughts and dreams of having a sexual relationship with him. Airi was already tormented and broken enough. It would have taken someone as strong as Itsuki to finally push him forward AND THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT HE DID IN THE END. I think they both deserve a big ol' hug and a head pat for pulling through the emotional turmoil and years of baggage and STILL comin' out together in one piece.

    lostikins July 14, 2020 6:55 pm

Lookin' awfully quiet here in the comment section lol

No one wanna come out even anonymously that they'd admit face to face that they have felt lustful feelings towards a blood related family member just to prove me wrong? Ya'll lookin' mighty tired lol

    Lady P0ny July 15, 2020 4:25 am

    THANK YOU

sometimes I think people read a different manga than I did, cause Airi was already having romantic feelings towards Itsuki BEFORE he even accepted Itsuki's confession and asked him out. Did not everybody see that when he was with his brother and thinking about romantic feelings, he was already seeing Itsuki's face in his mind? Like how since before they dated he was already falling for Itsuki? He didn't use Itsuki, but I think most people here don't have the same level of maturity you displayed in your comment. So THANK YOU!

    queerhecate July 15, 2020 5:10 am

I WISH I COULD PIN YOUR COMMENT ON TOP OF THE COMMENT SECTION. can't believe i finished the manga feeling all warm and fluffy only for people in the comments to miss the entire point of the story? goodness some of yall need to grow up, probably finish school first before reading a manga of this nature and depth smh

To the people saying Minato should've run away or told Nanase about what was going on during the time of his trauma; most gangs/mafia/yakuza don't allow members to simply just leave. From what I've witnessed from friends even leaving with permission leads to beatings and sometimes even death.

If Minato tried to leave with Nanase, someone who was coveted by someone in power, he more than likely would've been killed and Nanase would've been reduced to a mind broken sex slave. Even if they tried to hide for the rest of their lives a big target would've been placed on their backs and the same outcome achieved eventually.

Not condoning what Minato did, he should've stayed away from people like that in the first place, but simply thinking in fairytale ways like "the prince and the princess ran away from the wicked witch and lived happily ever after" with a manga that is dealing on a more realistic level doesn't sit right with me either.

Granted, most people don't know what goes on in gangs since a good majority live sheltered lives but I've lost childhood friends and family members just for simply wanting to cut ties and become an upstanding civilian. The ones who ran were eventually found and before that lived a life of paranoia, constantly looking behind their backs and never staying in one place for more than a month.

I know this is BL and we tend to think "oh it's yaoi so anything goes" or whatever but if you think on a more realistic level, unfortunately, what Minato did was probably the best outcome.

All other options look like they'd lead to Nanase being kidnapped and if that happened then he would have never survived.

I realize this is gonna be a hard pill to swallow and I'll probably get some sort of backlash for this shit but I thought enlightening you guys on something that really happens would've been better lol

I think this would work better as an explanation if Minato was still caught up in the bad crowd/whatever shady shit he was in. However, he said he got his hands clean. He somehow got out, and he seems to be fine. It seems unfair that he got out of the bad crowd, and his only consequence of the gang rape is being single. Why couldn't he have gotten out earlier with Nanase?

We don't know what happened to him afterwards outside of "I washed my hands clean of it all." I have friends that are still alive after leaving their gangs but that don't mean they weren't hospitalized for a while afterwards.

And I was never sticking up for Minato. If anything it was more of a "yeah it's shitty but the ultimate outcome was better for Nanase in the end." Nanase is happy and is working towards getting better with a partner that actually cares for him. Kei probably realized this which is why he didn't beat the fuckin' brakes off of Minato when he met him. Gangs/mafias/yakuza are dangerous.

I didn't want to drag my dad through this shit but we actually lost contact with him for 2 years 'cause he got tangled up with a girl that was running with a notorious gang. We weren't able to contact him at all or know where he was for nearly 3 years 'cause we were also in danger. He managed to pay off whatever was happening in time but the situation was real and the danger was real.

I know this is fiction or whatever but in my head the repeated refusal only leads to Nanase getting kidnapped and becoming a sex slave and drug addict. Being sold in a sex trafficking ring or killed from either OD or abuse. There's no excuse for rape but at least in this story there's hope for Nanase in his recovery and relationship with Kei.
