But ml didnt out him, his mom and sister figured it out on their own and also noticed his constant outings and wanting to live together with chaeheon, now chaeheon did talk with his family about wanting to live together but it was always implicit, i'm not even sure his brother and father even noticed their relationship, not sure if the same happens in the novel
It wasn't the ML but MC's sis who kinda outed him. She was home on a day off, MC came hone and got a call from ML. They kinda said things friends don't say to eo, coincidentally the sis overheard them and figured it all out on her own. Then MC's mom got suspicious of their relationship and MC's sis spilled to save her mom from her own misery. They decided to keep it quite until he came out on his own. Then MC asked to move in with ML and his mom strictly forbade it. She asked for ML to come see them at their home. So ML kind of did what son-in-laws do went over and tried to get permission from the family. Overtime they did allow them to move in, but the family sans MC decided to keep it between themselves and ML.
This context may seem foreign but it makes sense to me as I too belong to an Asian household and am the youngest. I am the last person to hear serious things growing up even until late 20s. The elder sibs get to be in on it bc once the parents pass, elder sibs are expected to lead the family like the MC's elder bro once mentioned that he doesn't wanna give MC allowance when he is in his 50s if MC doesn't get a job around the time he graduated. It shows the family dynamic clearly where he will likely have to step into the guardian role once they are older and parents may be gone. Tbf, I don't like them discussing things behind MC's back but they do it out of genuine love and care so I have came to accept it over time. May be he will too go through this kind of thing once he finds out about the whole thing.
