Did y'all seriously think that this historical webtoon, in which the ML is a conniving and smart man who holds nothing dear to his heart except revenge, would give up his entire motivation for living and thriving in order to settle down with the MC who he bought for the sake of his revenge plan? Yes, he's catching feelings, but that was never part of his plan, and he won't stray from it. This has never been a happy plot, there will be suffering, and I hope both of them suffer before getting together so their relationship holds that much more weight. People are cursing him now, but may I remind you he always played with people's hearts? Did you not feel bad for the women he led on before he threw them aside and went to the next one? For the men he tricked and people he lied to to get money? Not all of them were bad people, but it's only now that you curse him for being cruel? He was always cruel. He was just less cruel to our MC because he took pity on him, and their circumstances allowed them to connect in a way no one had been able to before, leading to love, and perhaps happiness. But that can't happen, at least not yet.

He's just as twisted and sick as the people he kills, which is why I like this. He takes pleasure in torturing them, not saving innocent people. Seeing him enjoying their suffering is what makes him appealing - he is not a good guy, even if his motives may be good.
I'm actually glad that he seems to be growing and improving and realizing his faults. All of these ML's were just poorly written love-interests, but it seems she is actually changing them. It makes me glad and hopeful they will realize how wrong they are and hopefully our "FL" will be able to have a good run, since it seems she's constantly repeating this novel/comic or whatever it was.

From what I've gathered, he genuinely views himself as ugly. Perhaps he is cursed so he can only see an ugly reflection of himself akin to the demon he wears the mask of, or perhaps in the region he inhabits his general complexion is associated with evil. Of course, our FL, as a modern korean woman, is able to understand that in most cases looks and attributes don't reflect or showcase our base morality or if we're "good" or "evil," "handsome" or "ugly," but it may very well be body dysmorphia. I myself suffered from ED's and a lot of issues due to my self image, and even though everyone said stuff like "bUT you're so pretty," it made my struggles feel invalidated and wrong, as if I wasn't allowed to feel this way simply because of how I looked, and I felt fake, as if I was somehow subconsciously conjuring up these mental issues in order to fish out compliments. After attending therapy I realized I did hate myself genuinely, and doubting how much I did was wrong and only hurt me more. But for the sake of normalizing good behavior, instead of discounting his self-hatred and putting ourselves down, let's wish instead that he realizes his beauty. Regardless of why he thinks he is ugly, whether it is magic, personal, or societal, instead of saying stuff like "if he's ugly i'm disgusting," let's just take a moment to feel bad for this sad teen, because no one should feel ugly if they truly try their best to be presentable and healthy. And making jokes about yourself looking bad normalizes those feelings, and it can hurt. Just do your best to take care of yourself and be healthy, physically and mentally, to give yourself all the opportunities you can in the future.
i really cannot get behind her manipulating the public opinion of her husband and degrading his status so that way she can get her communication device back. she's smart, and how easily she's able to manipulate people shows that, but he's a military commander. spreading rumors that he's a sucker for his wife is fine, although it may make him a target (or her), but making it seem as though he hurt her physically? that just rubs me the wrong way. honestly it would have been really funny if he just accused her of all the crimes she did genuinely commit and she got locked up and realized how powerful he is. right now it just feels like there's a power imbalance; it would be cool to see them tread carefully around one another - her understanding she can't ruin his reputation and him understanding he can't prevent her from doing certain things, other than her just being like "oops let me snoop around in classified information and ruin your reputation and slander you because you took my phone because i was risking our lives!!!! haha what are you going to do im going to imply that you physically hurt me when you fight with me >:3"

Let's not forget that he's pretty horrible himself, just killing or cutting off people's hand for the slightest thing, his own officers fear him in more than a "fearing the military boss" rational manner. You would think irrational killing and given to sudden bursts of violence would be a pretty bad trait for a character, but somehow he gets a pass. killing~manipulating which is worse?

bro he's a literal military commander. if someone was touching my things and i was someone in a position of power, where the documents and stuff i had in my personal desks were restricted information, i too would probably punish someone who committed that crime, because it is a literal crime. i like to analyze characters in webtoons, im a writer myself, and as someone who grew up in a not so great environment, i can feel really icky around emotional manipulation. because it fucking sucks.
I want to know what your definition of a strong independent woman is, because I haven’t seen any of those traits in her so far. Is a strong independent woman someone who throws tantrums when she can’t post on social media, insist on using high quality shampoo to wash her hair, guilt trips her husband by threatening him with his reputation, and makes her husband at her beck and call? Aside from the short burst of magic she had (which was literally 1-2 episodes lol), I don’t recall her being useful otherwise. She’s not a strong independent woman. She’s bratty, spoiled, inconsiderate, and that type of attitude isn’t cute. Who knows maybe she’ll get better in the coming episodes. Regardless of her background story, though, it is NOT an excuse for emotional manipulation. You want a true strong independent FL? Lady and the Beast, Villainess Reverses the Hourglass, Death is the Only Ending for the Villainesss.
Also, the whole thing about him cutting off someone’s limbs for touching his stuff was taken so out of context. He is an admiral who has to protect his country. If someone was snooping around his office, where NATIONAL SECRETS and CLASSIFIED INFORMATION are being held, without permission, they would absolutely be punished for treason and espionage. In this time period, it would be execution.
Imagine if FL acted the way she did at a military base but in real life. Publicizing pics of a secure military location, touching stuff without permission. She would’ve been dragged out and punished because that’s law and order.

i just want their dynamic to be more realistic and less in her favor - I think it would be better for them to be equals, and for them to be able to respect each other's power, instead of him catering to her whims and whenever she does something that endangers them because she's so easily able to control public opinion and make it seems when they get into disputes he hurts her. it would be nice if she respected his authority and he respected hers, and they're able to hold a mutual respect for each other.

grey is a good guy. he genuinely cares for nox (it's not a facade) and wants the best for both nox and his fellow colleagues who work under nox. nox freaking out and wanting to be the only one amy talks to is not cute. that is toxic. luckily they talk a bit more soon but let's not romanticize possessiveness from a grown ass man in a bad mental state (he once again has literally no memories, that can really mess you up).

he gets mad when she calls grey by his name, and gets angry thinking about her taking care of other people. she basically tells him her sister picked up grey and that he's from his previous life and wants nox to talk to him so he can learn more about himself. nox and amy communicate and kind of get on the same wavelength. he basically tells her he doesn't want to leave even if he gets his memories back - which is stupid, because like,, you literally don't know what person you will become when you get your memories back. amy knows this, of course, but tells him she'd never force him to leave and just wants him to get his memories back. there is some other stuff that happens at the end i won't get into due to it being pertinent to the overarching plot surrounding nox, but you can ask me if you want spoilers.

It's not so much that he's jealous (a guy getting jealous that another guy is openly hitting on his girlfriend is justified, and kinda cute). It's more that she can't even be seen talking to another guy about normal things without him going over the top. The desire to isolate someone you love because you don't have the confidence that they won't leave you at the first chance is very dangerous. And if they are the type of person who's that fickle, probably not someone to get involved with.
Of course he’s scared. He’s scared of being abandoned or that she will leave him for others and forget about him. Regardless of what form he is in, he has always been possessive of Amy and clung to her, although he’s lightened up to Diana and this fact will always be imbedded into him, the fear of being abandoned. Y’all honestly have to be in his shoes. He may be a grown man, but his mentality is totally not okay. The way he thinks isn’t because of the environment he was brought up in. I get what you’re saying, but I see why Nox feels that way, it isn’t right, but it’s just a product of his emotions. And even if he gets his memories back, he will still want to stay with her, getting his memories back doesn’t erase the memories he had with her and the fact she gave him a name. And of course he’s not someone to be involved with MFOAOAOAOOOA HIS BACKSTORY GIVES US THAT INFO. The character development will come and Amy will teach him things like that are not okay, hopefully or he learns that she can have friends the hard way. No one calls it cute, they just see where he’s coming from, seeing how the situation is with him. He does need to dial it down A LOT.

grey is super excited that he finally met nox, and he can't wait to tell the others who serve under him that their leader is safe (albeit with amnesia). however, you see a bunch of shadowy figures talking about how obvious it is that he found his master (because his face is so expressive) and how he won't make it there to tell his peers that their master is alive. it's a bit more pertinent to the overall plot so that's why i'm making sure people who don't want to know too much won't see it.
