bro imagine every single time your wife told you why she married you she said it was because you were the best choice when you chose her because you loved her.
she just blindly believed the rumors and never once asked them if it was true that he was using her.
he never decided to stay and talk to her or chastise her for raising their son poorly either.
but i mean, god, i can't imagine the woman you love every time saying that you were just her best "choice."

Sexist fucking opinion. why is the blame on the mother? Women don’t need to conform to anything both parents should be equally responsible and he was a bad father as well

this is not the question of bad or not , the problem is if you want something from a person you need to find a way to have it.
you can compare mother care and father care the level is completely different I see it from my family , friend some of my friends complain that sometimes to make they husband understand is wasting of time, the solution is that men at an early age they need to start to do something , so when they got married they can help in the family.
a man (ml) alone with a woman who is feeling that way he can't divide himself into 2 to raise a child is difficult for a single person and if you add your responsibility as the head of the house and the King , sorry is complicated
my statement coming from the people around me, and last the era of this manga is more visible

I really like how they set up Nina. How even though she has the memories from her past life as an adult, her brain is still that of a child, she's emotional, can't control herself at times, and is still childish.
When she walked through the hallway and kept getting flashbacks to where she was almost killed, of where she was dragged and bled out, and would hear her name, I really felt for her. Even though she is an adult, her body and her mind is that of a child's - and being almost killed is something that scars anyone regardless of age.
Triggers can be something small. For instance, it's very hard for me to not flinch or start spiraling into an anxiety attack when I hear men yell or speak in a loud voice. My friend is reminded of her abusive ex when she sees certain video game characters.
I like that they mentioned her trauma. Often times they brush over it. I hope she is able to grow. And I'm also glad she decided to stray away from fate and heed no mind to it because she recognized the story had changed.
This is wonderfully written, from the characters, to the culture shock, to the transmigration, to everything really. I can't wait to see what comes next and hopefully be able to read this while supporting the author.

Every 14th of July in Vannes, everyone dresses in historic garb from a certain time era. People from all over Europe come to participate in the festival, dressing in the garb of their nations from that time. People walking in stilts, bakeries selling pastries on mass, and then at night, fireworks erupt over the castle, while music blasts on speakers.
It's... Incredible. This chapter just reminded me of the awe I felt when I first went to a festival like that, after years of celebrating the 4th and 14th in big cities or just casually.
The 13th, when we first arrived, and went to go to a crepe shop, and sitting around were people in old garb, poofy dresses. Kids running around in clothes for peasants, horses wandering around, banners flying as those dressed in military uniforms swung them up and danced. And then a man on stilts, adorned in mime makeup and a dress, bounced over to me, and when I waved, he picked up my hand and bent down to kiss it, and then he and the other two on stilts just galloped off in the distance. And then at night, when the carriages were adorned in lights...
This chapter just... It brought back all of those memories. Just the shock and utter awe of seeing everyone in such extravagant and casual clothing running around, of dance circles and musicians singing and playing instruments in back alleys and near the Church. Of getting lost in the maze of streets, or wandering onto the pier to see the boats walking by. If you want to experience something like this, and can, financially and time-wise, I recommend going to Vannes in France (Brittany, to be precise) once this is all over. There's also a manga shop I go to to buy Jojo's Bizarre Adventure since more volumes are available in French haha. It's... My grandma group in Brittany, but she moved to Paris around World War II, so we would always visit and stay in Paris. We had relatives of course, all over, in the country side and in Versailles, but there's just something about Brittany. The seagulls, the small islands, the seafood, the cider... Even without the festival, the architecture and the history in the streets are just... AH okay rant over haha.

WHY IS HE WEARING THE IMPERIAL JAPANESE FLAG IN THE 21ST CENTURY IM SOBBING
oh right, I remember, it's because Japan refuses to teach their history properly about how they enslaved, murdered, sold Koreans into sex trafficking, made it illegal to speak Korean, burned museums, etc, during their Imperial Japanese days. And that's just what they did to Korea.

PSA: The Imperial Japanese flag is akin to what the hooked cross is to Germany. It represents the period of history where Japan was bloodthirsty, killed the indigenous people of Japan (the Ainu), murdered and enslaved people of various countries, etc. etc. Various Japanese politicians have tried to make it so Japanese history is taught accurately, but it doesn't work and many have had to leave the political sphere due to harassment for not being "patriotic" enough. Imagine living in a country and not even knowing that there were indigenous people in it. Imagine not knowing that the reason you have bad trade relations with Korea is because your ancestors were enslaving that country less than a century ago, killing people for even speaking Korean. Imagine thinking that the flag that represented that period of time was a flag that represented bravery, and not the unjust murder and slavery done on your homeland.

Yeah, anyways, gross!!! Please don't romanticize the Imperial Japanese Flag. I don't blame the author for not knowing since the Japanese government is hella fucked up in regards to nationalism and censorship, but like,,, this is just to anyone willing to read this.

Here are the question: is their relationship in this future time line only ill fated because of the different path? Because she still listened to her mother, still hated her brother, still ignorant of her citizens? That future has already changed - she knows this, and should be doing her best to keep in mind that she can continue to change the future and make it her own. She learned she was human, that her mother was untrustworthy, and she learned who cared for her. She learned her brother wasn't ill-fitted, and she learned to care and to want to challenge her views.
This reminds me of Spotless Sunshine of the Eternal Mind, where they know their future together will end poorly, but decide to love each other anyways, because it's better to have loved and lost than never loved at all.
Will her change in character at this point in time lead to Khun and her creating a wonderful union? Or will it be just as cruel as the one in the alternate time line?

My parents had me in their 40's, but I had many friends who had parents who gave birth to them when they were teenagers and even friends who had children themselves as teenagers, one when she was 15, another at 17 like our MC. It's truly difficult for someone to raise a kid, nonetheless when they're still a kid themselves. I just finished the first chapter and I feel so awful for the mother, who just wanted to be like her friends, but also for her son, who was never given love from the woman who birthed him. I am currently in a relationship, albeit an asexual one (neither of us feel sexual attraction) so the concept of becoming pregnant is foreign to me, but I am hoping our relationship continues well into the future past university and we perhaps adopt a child.

I do understand political marriages.
A lot of people are under the impression that he was doing it just for the throne, but if he hadn't gotten married hundreds of soldiers would die on both sides, and the war would rage on.
She understands as well. But she also still has every right to feel hurt, since she didn't expect him to be in a position that would make him marry and take in concubines for foreign connections, trade policies, and treaties.
My guess is that he will go to her within five years, when she does collect all of her concubines, because it does seem he genuinely loves her.
His current wife and him do not love each other. Both of them are hurting because they are put in a political marriage and do resent each other.
Marriages for love for royalty in history are a privilege, and even still today in many countries, which is something I don't think many people understand. Many people are in unfortunate economic places and need to marry into rich families, perhaps on a greater scale to bridge family gaps, or simply do not have time to fall in love but still need to have a family.
I'm under the impression that people are expecting him to just say no or not marry her or take in concubines. In that case, what would happen to the soldiers? To the economy? Relationships between countries? Trade systems?
She has every single right to be heartbroken and he is good that he doesn't force her to stay with him. I hope he understands that she doesn't still owe him their relationship, however, because their relationship was made on the grounds of monogomy.
