Not satisfied at all :( I thought at least this one would come through with an perfect ending but Bexan and his mother's story were rushed at the end, wish they would have had some closure now that Diesel and Ein are friends with Mliena and his mom got back together with her. Also the situation with Minsuk and his mother. And what's the Chihuahua up to? Idk, Diesel's arc had the perfect pace, but Bexan and Minsuk's story went short this season. I feel like whenever authors add side stories right after the actual story ended it means that they struggled with the end. Then they wrap anything important up at the side because it didn't fit into the main story anymore.
And all my favorite stories ended these past few months, an era is coming to it's end... Wolf In The House, BJ Alex, Heesu in Class 2, Someone Else's BL Manhwa, The Sound Of Your Voice, Killing Stalking, (and some others I didn't even finish because I'm afraid of the endings) all ended.
Out of all of these BJ Alex had the best ending but in comparison to most manga it still wasn't satisfying, it was lacking and the story didn't feel truly finished. I wonder why korean authors struggle with writing endings most of the time. They always have a very similar (K-Drama) formula for an interesting exciting plot but somehow that doesn't include the ending... I read so many manga in my life time and their endings seldomly were disappointing. Even my most loved childhood stories that I didn't want to let go at all had endings that I found beautiful although melancholic ... I cried buckets but it felt like closure and I was able to move on. But with korean webtoon endings I just feel heartbroken and left alone. But well sometimes no closure is also closure

Endings are hard when you have been with a story so long. Yesterday I was positively furious about the super abrupt end of Paramour on Lezhin after 157 chapters, I think. This end felt like the author was ready to let go. Honestly I loved Minsuk and Beksan the most and no, this ending was not very complete for them, it just felt like the author wanted to move on. I really loved Momentum much more. I feel the loss of many webtoons like you do. That is the reason I write comments here for webtoons I pay for on Lezhin, because I crave a place to share my feelings. Thanks for listening!

Warning, very long post ahead (I will not complain if you don't feel like reading it, I understand, I wrote a lot more than I thought I would ( ̄∇ ̄") tl;dr at the end)
Wrapping things up in the extras is normal for a Korean webtoon. The extras aren't meant as an emergency solution, often released immediately after the "final" chapter and normally represent the resolution of the story.
In this case the end of the story for the second couple was put in the extras because they're not the main characters and giving them their own "spin-off" simply made more sense. This is also not a story that is published in a magazine. I doubt that if she had wanted to release the remaining chapters as regular chapters, the publisher would've said no (there's just no reason to do that).
The pacing of Diesel and Ein's story was also not that different from any other story in this webtoon. The main difference here is, that their story focused solely on their relationship/how they became a couple and nothing else. There were no characters in it that weren't connected to their story as a couple. Hence why you didn't end up wanting to know more about them. They fulfilled their purpose and aren't important anymore. And since it was basically just an origin story it also wasn't necessary to add more depth to it.
Same with Minsuk's ex. He was just the rival, nobody cared about his backstory or what he's up to once he was gone.
But things are different when it comes to characters such as Pablo and the moms. They're likable, independent characters who have a connection to the main characters, but aren't important for their relationship. They also exist outside of it which is why you're left with wanting to know more about them. The problem is, if you actually continue their story you'll risk ending up with a never ending story or something that is pretty shallow.
Like, to tell the story of the moms you would also have to include their past, what they did when they were apart, what they'll do in the future and most importantly, another set of independent characters you want to know more about. That alone could fill an entire season and you would still end up feeling unsatisfied because some characters didn't get enough attention.
On the other hand, writing something that just focuses on them as a couple (other than short flashbacks) wouldn't do them justice and it'd feel shallow.
That's very different from how most BL manga are structured. You usually get either 1-2 Volumes or something that is maybe a little bit too long for its own good.
The 1-2 Volume stories typically focus only on them becoming a couple or overcoming some kind of problem in their relationship. There are either no important secondary characters or they're involved in their relationship development (a rival, a helpful friend etc.). The BL manga that are longer usually follow the same structure except they have multiple couples. There are usually no independent characters of importance and the plot is just about them becoming or being a couple. So when this goal is achieved there's nothing interesting left to tell.
For comparison, I see that you have Shimanami Tasogare in your list. I'm a little bit hesitant to call it BL but it's a great example for what I mean. This story has many characters in it who have their own story and there is no goal that would naturally end the entire manga (such as becoming a couple, defeating the main enemy etc.). So when it ended some people complained about how it felt incomplete (back when the last chapter was released, before the extra, in 2018). But how could it have ended differently? Reducing the other characters to plot-devices would've significantly worsen the story and acting as if their story is done and nothing noteworthy happened after this would've been completely out of place.
tl;dr: most of the dissatisfaction from those kind of endings doesn't come from the fact that they're rushed or abrupt but from the fact that these endings differ from endings we're used, because these stories have prioritized different things than the stories we're used to.
PS: Don't finish KS, the third season was horrible and almost pointless. It could've ended the same way after season two if she had made some changes.

Ikr!! I barely read the manhua when they're ongoing but this season I actually follow them maybe except Paramour because that one was like actual K drama, anyway out of all of them I expect BJ Alex to suck, I mean it does have nice art (the reason why I read it) but the start is kinda cliche but but but it has the ending that I was anticipating, for the others they are not bad but like you said, they just felt flat (☞゚ヮ゚)☞

same! i also buy and come on here to comment, wish lezhin had something like a civilized moderated comment section
please no paramour spoilers but girl, paramour got so messy after like chapter 115 or so? this is one of the comics that i don't want to finish or even read further... their other work tale of the yellow dragon is getting bad now too, so much dramatic plot that isn't conveyed or explained properly. i love the authors for their aloof uke x caring seme combo and their cute loving interactions but the plots of all their works are lacking these days..

I don't know, I didn't mind that much about the ending in this comic. from chapter 1 I know how Wolf In The House will end and it didn't surprise me. that the ending I was expecting from this kind of plot, well I wish it would surprise me a little bit but it's fine if it wasn't.
has for other's you talk about, I didn't read most of them other then BJ Alex, that by the way I still hate the Sema with passion. so I didn't care that much about it's ending. I agree it's ending was good but...still hate the Sema though XDD
anyway, the only korean ending I find the best and give me the most satisfaction was blood bank. what do you think about blood bank ending? I wonder XD

I am SO GLAD that they are talking about a second baby looks like the author changed her plans!!!!!!!!!!! A blessing
And what we need now is Hyesung having a moment of realization with his friends or with the family where he realises what he got because of Dojin and how happy he is because of him. Then they have a sweet moment in the sheets like the time when they bonded and Hyesung semi-confesses his love and declares to Dojin how thankful he is, how safe he feels with him and that he wants a big family with Dojin. And the days after that Hyesung becomes reeeeaaaally docile without even noticing, just sticking to Dojins side and being really gentle, loving and sweet to him. Till he goes back to his usual tsundere ways....
I mean if this arc doesn't give us a real moment of true love between those two I don't know anymore

The end???????? What????? Nooooo! I mean the last 10 chapters or so were not bad, everything was planned out and wrapped up to end in a decent way but it didn't fit the build-up at all???? It felt like the story was just starting and suddenly it ended. And so many things were left unresolved like Jimmy's past. It wasn't made clear at all that Ethan was noticing Jimmy's love and already fell for him, a few chapters ago he was just starting to crush and blush a little. Also the radio host reveal part was too underwhelming for what it really was, it probably was supposed to be the big climax of it all. I think the author wanted to build a really long complex story but then just decided to end it in the middle of it. It's a shame because it just got started and it was a really good story and the author is really damn good at telling a well-rounded story with good complex characters.. like even the rushed ending was done well, that's not something a lot of korean authors who often rush and end things abruptly can say about themselves.
Well... I'm so sad now I really need to find a love of my own to not depend on these love stories anymore because there is no relying on them

Omg wbk it's Jimmy... this is just such a beautiful story and it's perfectly paced. At first you get the impression it's not gonna be super romantic but the romance evolves slowly and beautifully. And I also think that Ethan is a very relatable character and the love that will blossom between them is something that everyone wants to experience in their life.
I'd really advise ANYONE to read this. Let's be real the first 20 chapters or so are super boring... I had a hard time to make it through because I have the attention span of goldfish but it is totally worth it. The slow build-up is important so that the story can naturally unfold, it's what makes it so special and beautiful. And if I can make it through everyone can!

I'm really confused as to why Ayame thinks he has to give up on Shuu so that Shuu is happy?
Didn't Shuu make it on SEVERAL occasions clear that he is very much in love with Ayame?
Shuu came at him and slept with him on the first night they saw each other after over 6 years, he kissed him when he was drunk while calling him senpai and gazing into his eyes, he asked to stay at his place, he looks at him longingly almost always, when they are with each other he emits pheromones so strong that even Ayame can smell them and Shuu goes randomly into heat when with Ayame so that Ayame even experienced his first rut.
I mean what's there not to get??????
At first I thought Ayame knew about Shuu's love for him because it's SO OBVIOUS but he didn't want to burden Shuu with his infertility or the fact that he isn't a "real alpha" who can react to pheromones etc.
Turns out he reacts to pheromones and he isn't infertile so what's the problem here? Why does he think he has to give up on Shuu? Why doesn't he get Shuu's OBVIOUS advances? I doooooon't get it!!!

that's probably cause of his conscience , both the brothers have the same thinking that an omega should be valued from his own human values rather than being from gender but the seme is now digging a bit too much into this cause he wasn't able to control himself during rut ,now hes thinking that like everyone hes seeing the uke from the common omega perspective and that's making him think that hes probably not the correct person for uke. Tbh he and his bro r the most logical alphas I have ever read but yea that's what really makes this manga so unique. And I think seme is just too invested upon the way he should love omegas or whoever so he couldn't really ever recognize ukes advances towards him. sowwy if this doesn't help its nearly 5 am and I should fuckin sleep

Second the comment above, all so it seems so far Shuu has always told Ayame (in words) that he’s more comfortable around his brother Kaede. Ayame may attribute all the times they slept together as something to do with pheromones rather love, and to him, Shuu being attracted to an alpha despite loving another must be the worst thing he could never wish on the person he loves.

So basically...
Tsukasa bullied Shuu in high school because it turned him on, probably because he fell in love but didn't realise it. Could never forget Shuu's hateful eyes.
Shuu wanted revenge but fell in love with the (fake) nice Tsukasa, he became obsessed with him because Tsukasa finally was his.
Tsukasa noticed that Shuu fell in love with him and felt disgusted/turned-off because the hate in his eyes is what gets him going. Classic case of denial/reaction formation.
Now Shuu has this desperate monologue about how he wants to make Tsukasa his because of his inferiority complex otherwise he can't move forward (probably his interpretation of the feelings he has for Tsukasa).
Tsukasa says that the root of Shuu's feelings is basically just hatred and Shuu should just accept it and let it all out, then he is going to fall in love with Shuu. Tsukasa says this because he selfishly wants to be hated by Shuu even tho he knew Shuu was infatuated with him.
Shuu is like ok there seems to be no other way out I'm miserable but whatever.
And that's it lmao? How unnecessarily complicated. I mean yeah keep pretending y'all hate each other even tho Tsukasa obviously wants to be hated because he can't stand to be loved and Shuu obviously loves him ugh so stupid some people just love to be miserable
this looks so good already and on top of that it's omegaverse... i am so ready
Same ^^
