Um don’t yall think that she wanted the kid to pay as an excuse to help them out. She wanted the guy as her aid but had to find and excuse, so she used the brothers mistake to capture him. And with the house, the commoner wouldn’t have accepted, he clearly said he was going to reject it, but FL forced him into it to help him and his family out.
