for a second there I was worried bro was gonna fuck up again after all the reflecting he's been doing, but I'm glad the author did it right! I've said this before but I'm very impressed by the writing and monologues. There's depth in every chapter and the main characters are multi-dimensional. Nakwon's character development has been one of the BEST I've ever seen so kudos to the author. probably not gonna happen but I'd love to see Mokhwa top him
haha that's not my reason but I respect it
I was just thinking that it could really add something to the plot. like, it would be meaningful if Nakwon were to give his body to Mokhwa to show his feelings are genuine, especially given their history and the fact that he violated him multiple times in the past. At the very least, I feel Mokhwa should be given the choice because otherwise it would seem as taking advantage of his inexperience imo - if he's just pushed into a fixed position. As far as we know he has no experience with love or been in a consensual sexual relationship with anyone before, let alone with another man. Maybe never even had sexual urges at all... but I'm aware fiction doesn't always follow real life logic so it probably won't happen lol
am I the only one who thinks Idris going on a killing spree doesn't make much sense? like, the whole reason he became a puppet for the prince was to save his men/the knights, but here he is killing everyone with no hesitation just for one useless guy... maybe I'm missing something.
see, that's just another thing I don't understand.. Idris having romantic feelings for him also doesn't make much sense to me - even if you put their age gap and history aside. And if he does have those types of feelings for him, it's developed way too poorly cuz I'm over here trying to figure out when and how exactly would he consider Zin a lover?! I feel that way about Zin's feelings too... like, he was forced to dick Idris once against his will, and he fell in love?!? then he started chasing him around out of both pity and interest... what do they even really know about each other? they haven't had a conversation outside of their jobs. To me it looks like Idris just going along with Zin's whims because he feels both guilty and responsible somehow... Maybe I'm being too "critical" but the development is for sure lacking.
so I guess what I'm trying to say is that I would totally understand Idris's actions if I believed the love actually existed. even imagining Idris considering Zin "his man" is cringe lol from my perceptive, I feel like his actions are more driven by guilt, rather than "love" tbh. Sorry for the long reply
Don't apologize i love discussing different interpretations!!
(i'll also put the age gap aside because my parents are 11 years appart and had 3 children XD so the age gap doesn't mean anything (if all parties are adult ofc))
To me, and i agree with you, it is subtle, but what i see is that Idris got touched by this random younger knight that was trying to help him but at first he might have sawn him as an opportunity to forget about the prince/king for a night (which would be toxic yé).
But ultimately i believe he enjoys thinking that Zin could stand with him, he likes the fact that he's not alone in this and that he's so important and cherished in Zin's eyes.
Now Zin, well, did he just got rizzed??? XD nah for real i believe he saw a part of him reflected in Idris' position, Zin too is getting abused and is chained to someone more powerful than him, and perhaps trying to save Idris was a cry for help and a try to save himself from his family.
(and perhaps along the way he picked up real feelings but i don't know about that).
So yeah i agree, their feelings are sort of shallow and don't come from healthy reasons!(that doesn't make them less interesting or less valid, just more fucked up, but their situation is fucked up after all)
Now when the only thing you can rely on (*think you can rely on)/when the only thing that showed you affection and gave you a semblance of confort is about to be taken away from you, yeah it's a normal reaction to try and fight against the people trying to take it from you.
Personal confort often comes before our ideals... and to some degree it's a good thing!
I agree about the development of feelings not being clear. From what I understood Zin already admired Idris so I think the ‘forced act’ was more of an opportunity for Zin and honestly that’s messed up in a whole another way.
As for Idris’s actions I kind of understand them. It wasn’t entirely about protecting Zin nor about not hurting others. Firstly the ones he attacked are the the first order of knights aka the cp’s dogs that bring him the people he preys upon for fun. They know his corrupt character and aid it instead of trying to fight it like idris is.
So what happened here was that the order came to falsely charge and arrest someone he feels responsible for and was aided by one of his own men (again someone he feels responsible for) and it wasn’t the first time the ones he is protecting turned their back on him and his allies because they themselves also have family and friends to protect.
So idris lashing out was more a reaction of the last straw. This scheme here made it obvious no matter what he does the cp will keep on hurting people around him because that’s just how a pos cruel tyrant the cp is. So how to stop this repetitive chain of his subordinates being raped, tortured, falsely accused and incarcerated or killed - cut the problem at the roots = kill the crown prince.
I really don't understand why authors are so set on always forcing characters into a fixed position, especially when the dynamic and relationship is developed like this, and they're both tops. If one is willing to compromise and bottom, why can't the other one do the same?? I personally find it selfish and annoying. And let's not forget the r@pe-y vibes seme was giving off a few times
are we reading the same thing?? Ryousuke is literally entirely at fault here, no matter how I look at it. He's total scum and the butler is fully a victim! There's a few points ppl have brought up that I wanted to share my perspective on:
1- some are blaming the butler for forcing ryousuke to have sex with strangers when he was 13:
● do ya'll realize that Seno himself was even younger, with no power or say in what was happening?? he was following the orders of ryousuke's father. There's nothing he could have done or said that would change the outcome. He was probably around 11 or 12 y/o at most, and did what he was trained to do as a butler which is to follow orders.
2- blaming him for not being honest about his feelings etc.
● if we're talking about honesty, the blame should apply to Ryousuke even more. Why couldn't he be honest from the start, instead of choosing a roundabout way of r@ping him for years and manipulating him to "make him realize his feelings"??? that is a fucking evil and cruel thing to do if you ask me. Seno was in no position to have feelings for his master or be honest about anything. Don't forget that he has been influenced, brainwashed, trained and verbally abused by his own father to become a "perfect butler". His job doesn't allow him to have "feelings", and on top of that he's a beta! from where he's standing, there is quite literally no hope or possibility.
3- him sleeping with other men, etc.
● do ya'll not realize that the reason why he even started doing this to begin with is BECAUSE RYOUSUKE HAS BEEN R@PING HIM IN HIS SLEEP?? and "trained his body to enjoy sex"?? he would fuck people in front of him just to get a reaction out of him! absolute fcking sick scum! Seno even said himself that he randomly started having these sexual urges that he didn't know how or where they came from, especially because he's a beta. That fucker literally broke his body and mind! r@ping him, so that he'll eventually come to you for sex??!? make that make sense. also, as far as I'm concerned Seno is single and grown so I don't see any issue with him sleeping around anyways.. but the fact that he's so mentally broken that his body craves it but he hates himself for doing it and carries all this guilt.. it's all Ryousuke's fault. while he himself goes around fcking people and living his life guilt-free doesn't even feel bad nor did he apologize for everything he's done - literally toying with him in the name of "love". yeah miss me with that horseshit!
I'm aware that this is fiction, and unfortunately it's unlikely that Ryousuke will face any real consequences, but he deserves to rot in the pits of hell imo. No amount of suffering karma or punishment is enough to make up for what he's done. The only thing Seno had done wrong is to love this piece of shit!
Otherwise agree except "Ryousuke is literally entirely at fault". Don't forget both of their parents! Ryousuke looked to me like 10-13 y.o. when he was first forced to fuck the omegas, and when he snapped he seemed to be 15-17. Years of "drugged"/omega-pheromone induced r@pe ordered by his parents would turn any kid twisted.
And other point: it's evident that uke was brainwashed/manipulated/traumatized/terrorized into doing exactly as his butler training said. It is no wonder that he has hard time acting...normal? and going against his family.
Both of them need therapy and love FAR AWAY FROM EACH OTHER. They're dependant on each other and it's fucking them up even more.
also, in case you're still not convinced he's the absolute biggest scum on earth, I suggest you go read the side story "Midarana Omega wa Koi wo Shinai" and see what he's doing to other Omegas and how he toys with and violates them for fun, together with other alphas in his "circle". He's a whole ass abuser and doesn't even hide it! and he claims to love Seno?? I'm not convinced one bit. It's more of an obsession and wanting to possess him.
The main characters are his cousin Souji, and Nanao btw - one of the Omega's Ryousuke "owns".
right?? it's bewildering how much of an arrogant asshole Ryousuke truly s. No remorse, no apology, no guilt, and no respect or consideration for Seno's feelings or his position. There's only so much I feel like that can be forgiven... I don't even believe what he feels for Seno is genuine love and affection. He needs extensive therapy, and to learn how to actually love someone and EARN it back, not r@pe, manipulate, and confine them to get his feelings reciprocated
sorry I was about to respond to your first comment, but yeah having read the side story is another reason why I fully place the blame on Ryousuke. His cousin Souji is in an even more difficult position, being from the main family and all. If he can choose to be good and do right by the person he loves, then Ryousuke has no excuse. He even said that because he's from a branch family he has less restrictions. Childhood trauma can only justify so much.. most of his behavior is a choice! Souji had a terrible childhood too, but look at how he turned out vs Ryousuke - how Souji treated Nanao vs how Ryousuke treats Seno.... he takes joy in what he does and feels no guilt or remorse.. just an irredeemable bastard in my opinion.
long story short, he runs a "circle" that only selected/elite Alphas can join. He picks up Omegas who need money or protection, and in exchange they pass them around and do whatever they want with them. He even starts these cat and mouse games in school and tells everyone they can go chase the Omegas and r@pe them for fun... he makes me sick!
but the story mainly revolves around his cousin Souji who is in love with one of the Omegas Ryousuke "owns", named Nanao. They have a happy ending at least because Souni is a really good Alpha, not a piece of trash like Ryousuke.

so happy the rat fell into his trap and got caught!
