But if the original steward was so ugly how would he have descendants? Who would have offspring with him? He clearly never married if he only had time to serve Morandi exclusively and with such dedication. Wasn’t he old already not just ugly? Did he outlive Morandi’s initial water imprisonment long enough to marry and father children. Or are the stewards distant relatives of the first? And how would they come to accept such a role if they had no obligation to or need for a father to son legacy connection. That seems like a blaring plot hole given there’s actually a lot of information missing in the backstory flashback.
As an African living in the United States I would like to clarify polygamy and polyamory are different. He’s likely polyamorous. Polygamy involves marriage with multiple partners. Polyamory is multiple romantic relationships. For both they require all parties involved equally agreeing to the dynamics but that is not often the case in polygamy. Should be noted polygamy is a form of polyamory but not the other way around. At 15 years I doubt Luca’s married but it’s not unheard of in some African countries, granted it’s not been mentioned that Luca is in fact married, so I thought to clarify. Secondly Luca’s hyper sexuality is not experienced by every African culture or person in the continent. Part of me is annoyed because this is a stereotype constantly associated with black skinned men. It’s possible the author did their research and looked into the Kenyan Masai culture to actually represent it as yes the culture as it is. For yes it does allow for polygamy/ polyamory but also in modern Kenya this is not has common today and the author went with generalizations attributed to the culture as well. Another aspect is how glossed over Aona’s sexual/ romantic inexperience is just steamrolled by a boy he’s met in a matter of days, and Aona’s easy acceptance of it all. It’s so just unrealistic and even comes across as Luca taking advantage of Aona’s naïveté often. It’s not a bad story but I hope people don’t think this plot is perfect either there are some significant issues with it.
How did I know we were going to get the I was as a piece of shit fuckboy backstory, his self loathing just reeked of it from the get go and it’s practically the quintessential cliche BL archetype. The ridiculously attractive ML falls for the innocent charms of the plain looking MC. It’s so cliched it’ hurts. God I was hoping we’d get a second male lead who’s just a genuinely nice guy who doesn’t have some sordid past or shallow mystery surrounding him. The plot is cute but you could have seen this a mile a way if you’ve read enough BL, it ‘s it was clear those hating on the ex GF clearly weren’t paying attention to the finer details of the plot for why and when was the rumored spread of our ML being gay unless he demonstrated somehow or indicated he was gay. And if it was rumors that were enough to stick and not be seen as baseless jealousy of a popular guy. Especially when in the present he’s acting closeted. There’s like a million fuckboy cured by love plots. I Have no fucks to give anymore.
Lol yeah I agree, it's like almost every main lead should have a dark past, and a playboy will meet an innocent uke/girl that will change him. Cliche af and I don't know why I'm still reading stories like this lol, I guess deep inside I still like cliche.
Also I was hoping this manhwa might take a turn and give an even chance to both of the male lead, but then I got disappointed that the second main lead was just basically an accessory needed for jealousy. I expected too much, I guess.
Which when we are first introduced to him he very much says so himself he’s been searching for Min because he wants to thank him for an “unknown” event in his life that has significantly impacted him. I don’t remember the chapter but your welcome to find it, it’s towards the introductory he does the whole club thing to see if Min is even gay but itself to get closer to him in general
This is one of those stupid ones where it starts off as an eye for an eye which is all good then it just romanticizes the blackmail rape from then on. We’ll have the chief begin to enjoy being continuously raped and the blond equate he has a right to keep doing so, despite in reality as crass as it may sound both are even in their trauma and abuse to one another. Just know they’re going to “fall in love” as well, it’s just makes the rape a segue to an enemies to lovers plot and that trivializes the actual rape experience in the end for both men. It’s another one of those plots that uses rape as a device tool and then makes it’s repeated use lose its significance as just trauma porn.
Actually, I was able to read the raws of Ch 3, Ch 8-12, and I have to say, this manga has a bigger plot twist than what you think and it doesn't mask the wrongs they did to each other nor is the apology kept accepted.

Wait is that “to catch a predator” guy at the end?! If so that is true quality highbrow meme.
