Ngl, I've seen a lot of rape in yaoi, but this one really got me. A lot of times rape is used as a cheap trope so that the protagonists have an excuse to start a sexual relationship (which isn't great but doesn't necessarily bother me). But the rape in this manga was actually a little triggering because the abuse of power involved. The uke was explicitly told that no one will believe him if he tells anyone bc the rapist is trusted by everyone else. Moreover it's really gross how the seme goes out of his way to rape him...

I've said this before and I'll say it again, the VP is not that great of a guy. It's clear from the way he acts that he's expecting something in return for being nice to the uke (love, a relationship, etc...) I think that while this is pretty realistic, he comes across as sleazy to me, and a little manipulative. No one is entitled to love just for being nice, and its gross to think that you are. Anyways this is just my opinion

Weird honestly I hadn't thought of it that way but you are right. I guess since Eunwoo is so oblivious to his advances that I never really thought about it but he is a little entitled. There's a part of me that isn't entirely sure his feelings for Eunwoo are romantic though.
There are so many things wrong with this story, but I cant help loving it bc the art is beautiful and the ending is wholesome. Still, the story was really rushed

•Ok, so as far as I could tell, there isn't a satisfying happy ending. Like they only really get together in the last few pages of the last chapter. Also, there were a lot of unsavory elements. First of all, the uke was diddled as a kid by a pedo (who he still is sleeping with/being abused by at the time of the story). Then there is also a secondary character who is a bitch, but ends up being gang raped and totally broken, then forgotten about. I dont necessarily have an issue with violence and trauma, but this manga does a really bad job addressing it (from what I could tell). So be warned I guess.

Yeah, I think he gets raped bc he turns out to be an omega, and the totality of his circumstances is what breaks him. I'm usually a sucker for dramatic omegaverse stories, but the raws were upsetting enough that I'm not going to read the translation. I just wish the trauma was addressed or at least balanced out with some fluff at the end :(
