I don't mind the slow burn, but I do wish we got to see the moment the Grand Duke realized he'd fallen in love. I thought he was still in denial but at some point he'd realized his feelings.
I also kind of resent the queen for slapping him when she knows he's under the influence of something. In the first place, hitting someone you know doesn't deserve it is wrong, but a slap to the face especially is done to humiliate more than hurt someone.

I swear some of these stories just get by with pretty art. I'm already sick of the "the female lead was actually evil and the villainess did nothing wrong" trope because they don't leave me satisfied. Like, if you viewed the story of Cinderella from the evil step sister's pov, would Cinderella actually be a total b*tch while the step sis would be an innocent bystander being slandered?
In the books I read, if there's a villainess, there is no "misunderstanding" that she is wrong and the heroine is in the right, if it seems even a little gray area, I won't even like the story, because I'll hate the FL. But since I don't get to read that story and want to see revenge against the og FL, I don't feel like rooting for the villainess to get her revenge, either, I just start out hating the story. Just make it an original story or something instead of using the villainess tag for views!!!
I'm leaving this here so if maybe this story is worth reading, I'll read it later when I'm bored.

I mean it definitely depends on your preference, I don't think it said that what she did in the book wasn't wrong it's just that she changed things so now Lerajie was the one pulling dangerous schemes instead of her. And she is caught up in the novel but not as much as some characters I read and it makes more sense to me that she is since it was the future Hamel saw and wrote not just a novel. But I'm biased af I've reread this so much and I love it so maybe we have different tastes lol but I'd urge you to read it <3

This FL takes stupidity to a new level, even without reading the spoilers I could tell she misunderstood, but really? An assassin tells you your fiance wants you dead for no reason and you take their word for it????

Well, I somehow managed to finish it. I still think the misunderstanding was dumb. A man who'd only loved you since he met you, richer, and of a higher standing than you, who you aren't even legally married to yet, wouldn't just out of nowhere try to kill you, since there's no motive. She believed secondhand information and didn't think to confront him or tell her family.
To be fair, some crazy people do exist, but there were so many ways to try and mend the situation, but she stays away for five years, just barely makes it to catch her mom's final moments, and tries to disappear just moments later??? It takes her way too long to start questioning whether or not she misunderstood what happened.
At least the kid and ML were cute (for ML, especially with his hair down). Also, it's short and complete.

Barely 10 chapters in and FL is a dumbass without a filter, it's not even funny I just get secondhand embarrassment.
I mean, the way to live was pretty simple and she just didn't seem to think of it, it's not causing the characters to not meet, it's keeping a distance from the person who accused her of murder in the first place - just stop being friends with the og FLs, let them fight over the prince and kill each other and just stay away.
Well, I guess the author had to make her quirky AND find some way for her to bump into the prince and catch his interest, but this is basically a crack fic. I'll keep reading because I'm curious, and I have a hard time dropping a story once I've started, but I'll give up if it gets too stupid. I have a long reading list and no time to waste.

So, I read all 90 chapters and I don't see how these two even fall in love with each other...? Like, it's both slow and rushed. They start a fake relationship and suddenly the prince is in love with her and breaks their contract. And she, out of nowhere, loves him enough to risk her life even though her no. 1 priority from waking up was to survive.
The plot from the villains is so weak, it makes the characters look dumb for not realizing it right away. So this count (with the crazy daughter) his family has a nasty reputation, it's not even a secret, he approaches the FL's dad knowing his daughter will be found guilty of trying to drown her, count asks if he'll keep things a secret if his daughter is found responsible, but the stupid father still takes him up on the contract he offers because he thinks he needs it for his daughter's sake (she'll need her family's support as crown princess, hence money). He literally just took over the business when he was accused of smuggling in poison, yet the poisons have been an ongoing issue in the story since long before. It's a very obvious set up, no one really falls for it, but that they can't deal with it themselves makes them look incompetent. In the end, they don't even solve it themselves, someone else randomly does it for them.
Finally, the crazy chic. She's implied to have killed two infants for some skin treatment using infant blood. She had a bad reputation, but I guess because she only harmed commoners, it didn't become an issue until the FL. FL also is stupid beyond belief, some crazy woman tells you she bathed in infant blood but you think it's okay to go with her in private at a party with no plan.
Then at the end there's some added plot with a prince from a fallen nation who's out for revenge. He kills imperial knights, but this is later treated humorously by the characters, and he gets away with it, playing at being friends with the leads when he literally threatened them multiple times before he falls for talk no jutsu.
As always in these stories, the commoners suffer, and they're second class citizens compared to nobles. As long as you're not a commoner, you can get away with murder ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

One other thing that bugged me, crown prince didn't know the country the other prince came from (fallen kingdom) so he talks to his dad about it, and apparently his great grandfather (or grandpa?) was the one to cut ties between their nations, leading to them being wiped. Yet this crown prince is alive, around his age, and only lost position when he was a child, and not even that young, he was old enough to world a sword against adults, so how was it no one seemed to know their nation existed when it seems it fell fairly recently?
There's a lot of loose plot points that are brought up and just ignored. The beginning of the story is full of a lot of nonsense, then the middle and last part rush through what passes for a plot in this story.
It could have been okay, but the execution was terrible.

I was looking for this comment, the timeline makes absolutely no sense AT ALL.
Another thing i don't get is why the fallen prince is after Jonas? I get that Jonas didn't help them but what about the place that actually attacked them? This vengeance makes no sense to me.
I feel very mean just hating on this but I can't think of a single plot point in this that makes sense. Σ(っ°Д °;)っ

Finally finished it, and in the end the demons were my favorite characters ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ even Asmodeus who only showed up for like 1 chapter in the side stories (ch100?) and Lerry who's so cute once he has his own body. Also, he's practically the only character who showed any kind of growth, the rest are all one note from beginning to end.
I did like every character because the art was pretty, even the villains/MLs who were hard to hate because they were characters with 0 substance, they each had like 1 character trait and the 3rd guy almost had no presence for the entire first half. They were nice to look at, but they never felt like real people. I swear I mostly focussed on the faces and the clothes because the colors were nice, even the translation didn't always make sense.
The MC was made to be loved by the protagonists, and her, along with the Chamberlain siblings, were Mary Sues. Unlike a lot of people, I don't think that's a bad thing, as long as the overall story is nice I don't care if a character is a Mary Sue, but I am sad we missed out on a romance between Felix and the MC while he was himself the whole time. It was obvious from the beginning he had a crush on her, I don't know how naive the FL is to have completely missed it, but then they have their first time while Felix is a demon and that made me a little sad. I did like demon Felix, but I wish they'd been in 2 completely different stories.
Anyway, the story was interesting enough, and I'm glad I got to read a complete manhwa in one sitting for once, because if I'd had to wait for updates I might have completely forgotten this story.

Ch 62 my boy Ben asking the right questions, WHY do the og male leads even like Claudia? An emperor, a paladin hero, and a Duke, and they could literally have anyone but they're so crazy over one girl that they're willing to risk everything ( ̄へ ̄)
Maybe it's in the story setting that they have to be obsessed with someone because Benjamin is now becoming obsessed with our MC instead. It just makes me feel sorry for them, as much as I hate them, especially the 3rd guy, who's pretty, but barely has any appearance or personality in the story so far.

After the first chapter, I knew it would be painful and skipped the first half, but I still couldn't read all the chapters, I skipped in between from 26 to 54. ML is an ass, I hope she runs off with that guild leader guy or whoever he is, though I'm sad he chopped off his purple hair and dyed it blue, almost thought I was looking at a different character.
On the other hand, her brother is so pretty, and so is Clair, so I might try reading this again just for those two.

So I've just started (literally on ch1)and the premise is literally crazy. And because it's crazy, I don't even care, Benjamin is friggin hot, even though he's a villain I'll just appreciate his looks.
I read a spoiler and the art is pretty so I'll probably be able to read this to the end while enjoying some eye candy, but it's really not my type of story so I won't be taking it too seriously.
The original novel was a tragedy, but I'm glad they didn't make the og FL a b*tch, and our FL isn't ending up with one of the og male leads. I ignore just about everything with that cliche plot.
Omg this is so good I almost died laughing at the chaos after the ML proposed
