I love this
I love everything by this mangaka, but I did have one wish. I know this was originally released in a magazine every month or every two months from the prequel. So I'd really love it if it was compiled into books and the mangaka added extra scenes. If only this was as popular as Honto Yajuu...
But it's probs been too long, anyway.

So I was skimming through the comments (because I wanna read this series again but I'm fangirling a bit first.) I don't think Naruse was faking amnesia the whole time, there were some thought processes when he was Fuu-tan for example where he learned pretending to be scared would make Akiyoshi care more about him. Normal Naruse is already pretty manipulative so he would have known immediately.
Then I went back to CH 4 pg53. After the others take Fuu-tan home and they walk in on Akiyoshi... I think that's when he remembers because on this page, at the end, Naruse says "As expected of Akiyoshi" after admitting he remembered, I think he remembered because of "that." Because he saw Akiyoshi getting it on by himself ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I remember reading this because I found the anime and loved Yonekuni and Shiro. I was sad when the manga didn't focus much on them.
But honestly a lot of the pairings in this story were kind of effed up. Kunimasa and Norio didn't escape it in the end, either. I didn't find anything confusing because I honestly didn't care much about the convoluted storyline, I just wanted to read about the relationships. I didn't understand everything about the hierarchy, class systems in their world, etc, and I didn't care because I stopped taking the story seriously after a few chapters (can't remember if it was the story with the snake and the hamster, or the hawk prince and the kid he kidnapped. I hope those are in this manga.)
Still love Yonekuni and Shiro though
Especially since I just found the Seiyuu for Yonekuni in the anime also voiced one of my favorite anime characters (Sakata Gintoki from Gintama.)

Guy's, its a one shot. A short one at that, their love story was told in exactly 15 pages. If it was a full volume, or at least a 30 page one shot, it might have told the story better, but it's not.
I don't think Ryou is in love, in lust maybe because he was turned on by Itsuki in drag. If it was a full story, it might show the relationship developing and Ryou getting turned on by Itsuki even without make up. I don't see it any differently from a person wearing a sexy outfit to entice their partner.

It's okay, but am I the only one bothered that their first love scene happened after Kazuha was knocked out by assailants and woke up tied by Hyoudo? It's more dubious consent than full on consent.
Also, he gets kidnapped/attacked several times and it's Hyoudo to the rescue. So even though he's a cop who knows judo it's still the same cliche of the damsel getting saved by the hero (don't know if there's a masculine word for damsel). The fact that he doesn't question what his boyfriend could be doing as a yakuza and he's a cop (but this is in most cop x yakuza stories I read so I guess it's normal.)
And finally, their communication sucks, on both ends but mostly Hyoudo who walks out or shuts down in every confrontation instead of talking thins out. Sometimes they work themselves out but it won't be always.

I've read some of this mangaka's stories and they know how to make a story sweet even with shitty characters. The seme in this one and in Stay Gold may as well be copies of each other. the uke too I guess, but at least in the other one, he was manipulated, never forced, and this seme starts off with manipulation then goes on sweet. Like opposite character development (can I even call it that?) They're both short, too.
Like for sure they're sweet, but the kinda sweet that leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I skimmed the comments and I don't know why people don't like this? I don't take it seriously so to me it's a cute, hot story! Can't count how many times I've re-read this!
