I don't know what people have against this story. I thought it was cute.
Yonemura was the older one in the relationship, but he wasn't the straightforward type to begin with and he was insecure with his partner being so much younger.
Andou is trying to mature, which I get, because him blowing up and getting angry then storming off at everything instead of staying and having a clearer talk, would have broke this relationship very quickly if he wasn't so attached to his boyfriend.
Their relationship is maturing, they're both learning how to meet their partner's needs, which I think it's realistic for most relationships. It's cute seeing a relationship grow.
As for mitsuhara, I don't know what's going on with his relationship with his mother. I'm not surprised he wanted to punch her, but I'm glad it was stopped. His situation clearly leaves him frustrated, and he's young, I'm guessing early twenties. Imagine getting constantly called by cops to help your mom who keeps trying to shoplift. If it continues she might actually get arrested one day, not just questioned by police. By his reaction, it's obviously happened a few times. Imo his mom needs help and the family needs to communicate so the kids know how to help their mom better, but this story doesn't tell us their situation so it's hard to judge.
A fluffy story where everyone makes the correct decisions 100% of the time is nice, but in real life, things aren't always so smooth. I also just got off a really long fluffy shounen ai so this was just right for me.

Love this, but at the end of the story, there aren't really any purely good characters left, even Romiard starts going astray and I feel it'll only keep on the longer he survives as a magician. At least he's not as ruthless as the ice magician yet, but that smile after his brother appears on the final chapter was so creepy.
Also, the winter magician. He's drawn so pretty, his ruthlessness aside, in panels where it's just his eyes, it also looks a bit too creepy.
But then I remember this is a fairy tale and they're all just a bit creepy.
Lovely story, lovely art, lovely couple
Seriously, I'm so in love with the color palette.

While I do love fairy tales, they have this creepy quality (especially the originals, not the disney versions) it gives me chills, and I can already see this story is going to be a bit dark. A dwarf just died and our mc became a slave at this castle (sorry, I meant cook, but 5 years and no leave? That is so a slave contract.)

Honestly, after this (ch14-15) if she falls for him first or gives into him way too easily I'm gonna be so disappointed.

Why ?
He’s a head spy, he teaches her that over confidence can cost lifes - he warns her several times and still gives her a way out
He’s not a white knight, he won’t save her, but instead he considered her ambition : she wants to become a high. Ranking official to serve the king
So far he just showed her how reckless she’s been
He certainly measured her for his own benefits , but he also went on to explain and let her take responsibilities
It’s not too often that a man gives that much respect to a woman : she underestimated him and the risks, she’s overconfident, so failed, but he didn’t rebuke her like Chloe and send her back home - that gives her an opportunity to grow

Even if all that is true, who would fall so easily for someone who saw their humiliation or was a direct cause of it. From the spoilers I saw she does go on to try and keep her distance, because it would only be natural for her to be wary of him. I made the comment because I see it way too often where an ml humiliates the fl (whether warranted or not) and it's completely waived later because she falls for him.
Her reaction to wanting to keep her distance is fairly normal (also, because he's dangerous.) She obviously can't fall for him from a distance (well she could but that wouldn't be a satisfying romance story) and he's going to be treating her like a pawn for a while, not a romantic interest, so if she just falls for him and gives in easily in that situation, I would be disappointed. It's like someone treats you as a tool and you fall for them, then they fall for you and the fact that you were treated as a tool is never addressed.

First impression in this manhwa is terrible. How many people saw CH 0 and turned away...

That wasn't even the problem, her being in love with his looks was funny. It's more that he clearly has low self-esteem about how he looks, but instead of saying something about it, she agrees with him calling himself unsightly, and her thoughts are, "I'm not letting go of such a good looking husband." She even planned to spread rumors so they wouldn't divorce. that was what most commentors who only saw CH 0 were complaining about when I checked.
With zero context, it really isn't funny and makes her look like a terrible person.
I don't see what people have against the bro, he didn't do anything wrong? He was real with Asahi from the beginning that he could never like him the same way. He fell for a woman he knew his brother was in love with, and decided to go for her instead of "leaving her for his brother" which is something I see all the time. It doesn't really make you a noble character though, because what about her feelings? If she fell for Isono first and not Yuu, him not dating her would not mean she'd end up with Yuu anyway. Her feelings also need to be taken into account here. Of course he told his brother they were getting married, would he not have invited him to the wedding? He felt bad because he knew how his brother felt and it was his call not to bring it up. I don't know if it would have helped if they'd talked it out, but it's history.
Anyway, story is cute but maybe cause I've binged so many manga and webtoon recently, it's not that memorable.
